Oh Mama Grill

Very good takeaway spot that fills the void Astor (restaurant previously in this location) left. To be honest, much more flavorful and interesting menu compared to Astor.So many different ways to build your meal here and staff is willing to explain what is what as there are a lot of new optionsGood food. Come and eat it. Pita is a must.

My friend and I went this Sunday for lunch to try Oh Mama Grill and it was fantastic! Especially for a place that just opened (but even generally), Oh Mama Grill had great service. Oh Mama Grill has a casual vibe with a TV and the prices are affordable, especially for DC and Adams Morgan. My friend and I were able to order and receive our chicken vegetable soup and shawarma quickly, brought to our table. Oh Mama Grill lets you customize your shawarma with salads and sauces including hummus, tahini, and amba (pickled mango) as well as spicy sauces at the counter.Our soup was good with ample amounts of chicken, carrots, celery, zucchini, and some other veggies. The shawarma was among the best I've had in DC and outside of the Middle East; it was juicy, flavorful, and a great turkey and lamb mix. Other than the laffa being more of a lavash, the shawarma was exactly what I expected and hoped for. The spicy sauces and salads were fresh and complemented the shawarma-a fantastic mix!Oh Mama Grill is a great addition to the Adams Morgan and DC food scene. I look forward to returning soon and enjoying more of their delicious menu!

Holy moly, this place is the real deal. Huge portions and a super fresh toppings bar with a wide variety of options. Friendly staff, too. You'll be so happy you ate here -- I know I always am!

Outstanding shawarma!!! The food was awesome. Rich flavors with the salads, generous portion of the Turkey shawarma along with the hot puffy pita with hummus. Can't wait to go back, went on a Sunday and parking was easy. Best thing about this location is that afterwards went for a nice walk around town and took in the sites. Hear that there's a location in Rockville. Will try that location next time. Try this place!

Amazing, delicious falafel - definitely the best in this part of DC. Highly recommend!

Seriously best shawarma in town. Been going to Rockville location for years. Glad they have additional spot now.

The falafel sandwich I ordered was delicious and bountiful but I don't go back there because of the windows. I realize that sounds strange... First of all, before I finally went in I thought they had not opened the store yet, as the windows were and still are covered with ugly pictures of a meat cone and other stuff... They also cut down on the light coming in. Do those pictures attract people? It's the opposite for me so despite the tasty (yet a few dollars too pricey) falafel, I haven't been back...

Oh my God amazing! Officially obsessed with this place. The shawarma plate was so delicious. And I came 5 minutes before they closed. So I can't imagine how delicious it is when they first open.

Definitely the best Kosher place in the area, (Better than char bar), but still not as good as some of the joints in NY, Miami or Baltimore. People are friendly but food takes too long. Great chill ambiance and the Everything usually turns out 9/10. The wings are great but small and overpriced. Chicken kabobs are the way to go but as a regular, I feel they raise the prices too often
