Ocean Crab

This was my second visit, the first being when they opened a couple of years ago.They've definitely stepped up their game. Unlike other places, I love that they offer boiled eggs, gumbo and ramen. The seafood was fresh and hot, and everything tasted amazingggg. Timmy, our server, was super friendly and attentive. I'll definitely be back soon!

Our first visit here and it was really good!I'm not a big shellfish fan, but my family is so we figured we'd give this place a try. Overall, it was really tasty, and I think pretty good value for what you get.This was Valentine's Day evening, so I called the day before and was told they were booked out but we could walk in and be on the waiting list to get seated. We arrived at about 5:35pm. The parking lot here is a mess. There's no easy way to turn into it if you're coming westbound on Rt. 50. You either have to turn south onto Walney, and then a right into the Capital One bank parking lot, or turn left on Sullyfield Cir., then left into a back parking lot and then come around to the front. There were cars jammed up everywhere in this lot and I just parked in the Capital One bank lot. We put our name in at the front and they told us the wait would be about 30 minutes. We got a call back in 30 minutes and got seated with no issues.The ambiance is plain. Not fancy, not casual, but...plain. Even if there is a kayak attached to the ceiling. But once you get into the food, this doesn't really matter much.We ordered the Ocean Jumbo ("2-3 people: 3 clusters snow crab legs, 1 lb. headless shrimp, 1 lb. crawfish, 1/2 lb. green mussels, 1/2 lb. clams, 2 corns, 2 potatoes" - $90). We chose the "mix all" seasoning, medium (2 out of 4 spice levels). We also ordered 1 lb. sausage ($10.49), 1 extra order of corn (3 pcs - $3), and a bowl of gumbo ($4.99).They place a sheet of butcher paper on the table, and there's a large tin bucket with a plastic liner there for all your shells and bits. Each place setting consisted of a plastic bib, a pair of plastic gloves, a foam plate, and a plastic fork. The bib and gloves were understandable but I was put off by the foam plate and plastic fork. Near the end of the meal, I realized why they're used. Even if you're a neat eater, your immediate area will be covered with butter/sauce and bits of shells. Shells and other waste get tied up in the plastic bag, and plates and forks go right to the trash. Glass dishes would just be a pain with this type of dining. I WILL advocate, though, for metal forks. Using the tines to break open small crab legs is not easily done with plastic forks.Enough about all this. How was the food? Great! I'll let the photos speak for themselves. It all tasted very fresh and the flavor of the mix sauce was pretty good. It was not very spicy, so I might get Hot (3/4) next time. The Ocean Jumbo combo is just right for 2-3 people. I strongly suggest adding that extra order of corn AND an extra order of potatoes which I didn't get but should have. With so much sea protein and butter on the platter, you'll need some extra starch. The sausage was a great addition as well. The gumbo was alright. Good flavor and spice, but it tasted like it could have been simmered longer to integrate better.Service was pretty good. Our waiter was friendly and attentive.I'd like to go back to try some of their fried dishes and perhaps limit the boil to just a pile of shrimp.

I will keep reviewing this place because they are so good!Kids in town visiting so they wanted seafood in a bag! Staff is so helpful. They provide utensils, bibs and bags!Shrimp, crab clusters, corn, sausage and potatoes are cooked and seasoned so well. The portions are worth every cent. Seasoning is so amazing! You choose the cooking method and they deliver.Dining room is huge, and the convenient wash station is steps away.

Went out here for lunch New Year's Eve 2025 and there were 2 other tables there. Our server was Jimmy (or maybe Timmy). Super nice, patient and helpful. 3 other people and I agreed to do the all you can eat option and jimmy was very kind and thorough and explained to us the sop and rules. 2 important things to know: 1. food will come out in portions according to how many participants and you can always order more in the allotted 2hr maximum 2:The most important one being that any uneaten seafood from the boil will be weighed and charged an additional $15 per pound.With our first round we ordered appetizers (included) fried oysters and fried calamari. Oysters were fine but the calamari was very rubbery. I notified our server and we stopped eating it. It just wasn't worth the stomach space . The boil comes out on a tray but I'd much rather have it in a bag to be able to mix the seasonings up better. Over all the experience was great and worth the price. We'll definitely be returning here in the future.

I just had the most amazing birthday lunch at Ocean Crab in Chantilly, and wow, what a treat! My friends took me there to celebrate, and it was my first visit--talk about a birthday surprise!From the moment I walked in, I was hit with the irresistible smell of fresh seafood. I jumped right into a mountain of snow crab legs that were so fresh, they practically had a welcome sign for me! And the shrimp? Absolutely incredible--perfectly seasoned and juicy, and I may have indulged a little too much. Who could resist? The mussels were plump and hot, just the way I love them. I chose a medium spice level, which was perfect--just enough heat to keep things interesting without making me reach for a fire extinguisher!The service was top-notch, too! Our server was friendly and made sure we had everything we needed, which made the whole experience even better. Overall, Ocean Crab is definitely a place I'll be revisiting!

Stopped by for a quick bite for lunch. I have seen several TikTok's on this restaurant. The service was good. The onion rings and fried shrimp were decent. The drink was worth the splurge, but the cup doesn't come with the drink. Overall 3.5 stars for this seafood restaurant.

A nice place with good food options and friendly service. The ambiance is enjoyable, though the music was a bit louder than I would prefer. Overall, a good experience, and I would come back for the crab legs.

Tonight was a busy night for OC I understand but the service just wasn't it and I drove over an hour to eat @ this establishment! The food was mediocre and not worth the $55 for the AYCE! You actually have to agree with the table on the items to select. The last visit I had I was able to order what I wanted and my son did the same. I'm just very disappointed about it all. What a waste of time & money!!

After a year we decided to come back here for seafood AYCE and disappointed that soft drinks are no longer included. They also charge extra for the sauce if you ask for extra for dipping.The seafood itself is pretty good and fresh. The lemon chicken is bomb! We found the Mix sauce was too salty but enjoyed the garlic butter.Every time we ordered more the server kept discouraging us from ordering "too much" as we would incur the leftover fee. It felt very unwelcoming like she didn't want us to order what we wanted and would suggest a conservative amount to bring out instead. She didn't fail to mention it every time we ordered for the next round. Overall, they have good seafood but service could be better.

Omg I can't believe I forgot to take a picture of what's inside the bag lol. I got the garlic butter sauce, mild, snow crab, headless shrimp, potato, and corn combo plus some boiled eggs. I loved it! Great and quick service. Great food. Clean inside. Would go back.
