Northside Social Coffee & Wine

I stopped by here to grab a quick brunch to catch up with a friend. I ordered the breakfast sandwich with egg and bacon, and my friend ordered the avocado toast. I also ordered one of the seasonal lattes, and my friend had a chai tea. Both of our drinks were really excellent, and they were fast to come out. The food took a while to be made, and there were a few issues with the ringer, but we were happy to get the food eventually. Overall, I thought my breakfast sandwich was just OK. I wish that there were more sauce and filling, and overall the sandwich was on the dryer side. My friend enjoyed the salad that accompanied her avocado toast, but overall felt like the toast could've been warmer, and by the time she got the second piece of avocado toast it was a bit soggy. Overall, the ambience of the place is really cute, classic community, coffee shop, with decent, but not remarkable breakfast food. I would definitely come back for the drinks, and would consider getting a pastry next time instead.

This would be such a great spot that I'd go to weekly if the WiFi ever worked. I test it every few months, hopeful that they care enough to improve. Sadly, still nothing. I was able to use my laptop here one time, a few years ago. That was a special day!

They have delicious iced tea. They're hot. Tea is served way too hot! Ask for a side of ice unless you want to burn your face off! Their coffee is OK but doesn't have a high caffeine level unfortunately. Their food is delicious, they have good salad sandwiches and chicken pot pie and pastries.The bathroom is dirty, if you sit in the back, you can kind of smell it, which is gross, especially in the summer because they have poor air conditioning.The service is great and they're all quick to get food and drinks out. Everyone there is very nice and helpful when you don't know what you want to order.

Cool coffee shop with a pretty big menu and intriguing specials. I went with an apple cider chai latte and a citrus poppyseed muffin which is a great combo. The chai latte had a lot of froth to it which I wasn't expecting but the apple cider flavor definitely came through which I appreciated. Definitely lots of pastries to try and it looked like they had a variety of breakfast sandwiches and other items to order as well.

I've been to Northside a couple of times before and haven't had a bad experience except this time around. My husband and I ordered a green tea and a chocolate croissant to dine in. The employee asked if it was okay to put the tea in a to go cup because they didn't have any clean tea filters and mugs for dine in. I said no problem but I would like to sit down and eat the croissant. Another employee proceeded to give me the croissant in a bag even though I had already asked for a plate 3 times.I decided to just stay and eat it as I was waiting for a friend.I then saw another customer order a tea after us for dine in as well and he was served in a tea filter and a mug, the same customer was also served his pastry on a plate.This left me with a bad impression from the staff. The place was not very busy and it is a great place to hang out but I am not sure if I will go back again.

Northside Social is a gem I go back to time and time again. Good for anyone in need of a quick snack or a cozy coffee break. The atmosphere is inviting, with plenty of seating both inside and out, making it perfect for takeout or a leisurely visit. I love the full-service upstairs option for brunch, but the counter service is just as efficient. Their seasonal bakery snacks are always a delight, and I find the variety of teas to be particularly impressive--definitely better than the coffee in my opinion! The service is consistently quick even when the line is long, which is a huge plus when you're on the go. One of my favorite features is the rotating local art displayed throughout the café. It adds a unique touch, and you can even purchase pieces that catch your eye.

This place was super crowded when I came on a Sunday morning but the line moved quickly and I got my food and coffee in 5-10 minutes which was awesome! There's a ton of outdoor seating and a few seats indoors but I chose to take my sandwich to go. I got a decaf americano and it was great. A lot of times they're on the water side since they're just espresso and water but they nailed it and it was the perfect strength. My breakfast sandwich was just so-so though which was disappointing. It had bacon, a poached egg, greens, and white cheddar (+$1.50) for the cheddar though). All the ingredients tasted pretty good but it didn't have a sauce so it was all around just a little dry. I think with a sauce it could be an excellent sandwich unfortunately!

I got the brown rice and chickpea bowl with avocado and it was fresh and delicious! Would definitely come back here.

Such a perfect spot! I've been here on a warm summer night, where their outdoor space is perfect with a bottle of wine and friends. I've also been here with a laptop and coffee on their upstairs level to get work done. This place does it all with the coziest vibe. Catch up with a friend or get work done, and plenty of seats open between their main area, back area, outside area, and upstairs. Honestly an impressive layout. Would also recommend following them online to see their different events, like bingo or art or live music nights!

Came during a Sunday afternoon in the winter. Still haven't gotten a no gluten dark chocolate peppermint cookie all season, but I'm so glad that they had no gluten chocolate dipped pistachio cookies and iced oatmeal cookies. They were super delicious - sweet and very holiday themed (though we were well past the holidays). The cookies added to the cozy vibe nonetheless. My fiancé and I also ordered our go-to soup: chicken posole. It's super hearty and filling and hits the spot especially with the buttered toast on the side. It was busy, but service came to our table upstairs to fulfill our order since we ordered from the QR codes.Northside will always be a nice go-to cafe spot in Arlington, where for pastries, coffee, or soup!
