Start with Borscht!Halibut was excellent. Crab cakes were supreme. This restaurant has a Ukrainian touch to many dishes and each, that we tried, were prepared carefully and perfectly. Parking is a challenge. Might want to Uber. Service was personable. Have the Pistachio Ricotta cake for dessert!

I've never come here for Happy Hour, but so glad I did. There is a cute bar downstairs with a few high top tables and some seats at the bar. Diana made the most delicious cocktails. She was lovely and attentive! I will definitely be back!Purple rain and French kiss!

Wonderful happy hour food and the happiness goes until 7pm! We ordered the fried oysters, cauliflower, brussel sprouts AND mushrooms. Way too much. So order less and add more if you are hungry. The white sangria was yummy with hints of anise. Our server was lovely.

I decided to spend my 30th birthday in this restaurant because I saw the chef was Bolivian like I am. I was very impressed by how good all of the plates were as well as the atmosphere and service. Everything was 5 stars from start to finish.I ordered the peanut soup as an appetizer and the picanha with cheese rice. The peanut soup was so authentic tasting that it reminded me of home. I would say the same for the picanha and cheese rice as well. My husband ordered the filet medallions which were also amazing. We both ordered caramel apple mules to drink and both would recommend it. We were six people and all of them were pretty happy about their appetizers/entrees and drinks. They were also very veg friendly. For dessert we got the smore's which came with incredible presentation. More for the experience but it was very cool. And the pistachio cake was delicious. Our service was amazing. We even got shots for free. They brought a delicious cake and had a cute sign on the table. Very happy with the entire experience.

Back to New Heights for happy hour the other day - our friends are serious regulars of the place. Everything is still good but they don't seem to change their HH menu much so if you go too often it'll be boring. But now it's warmer their outdoor patio is open - it's is a great place for HH or dinner - it's on a stretch of wider sidewalk, has plant barriers and covered so you are set apart from noise and passers-by.

My husband and I went to this restaurant for the first time last year after we heard about the Michelin star. We have now been twice and the food is incredible! The service is great, and the atmosphere is very quiet, elegant, and romantic. We would definitely recommend coming to this restaurant for a quiet, romantic date night,, anniversary dinner, or birthday dinner.

I was excited to check out this newly refurbished dc staple for restaurant week! Their $55 three-course special was not as good of a deal as some restaurants, but the food was good! I was especially impressed by the perfectly cooked halibut and the magnificent tuna poke tacos. I also enjoyed the filet medallions--although the price was exorbitant compared to the quantity--and the tempura mushrooms. Our desserts were nice too! One big issue: we were told that they were out of honey cake, despite the fact that almost all the tables around us received that cake. We were really disheartened by that. The service was a little slow and not particularly attentive, so we ended up having to wait quite a while. Other than that, it was good! The ambiance was very upscale 90s, which was kind of cool too.

It was Restaurant week and a perfect opportunity to return to one of out favorites. We began with a glass of wine, Carmenere for me and and Rose Figuiere for her. For starters I had Salmon Tartar and my girlfriend had Roasted Beet Carpaccio. Both were beautifully presented and my dish was delicate with a variety of complex flavors. For my main coarse I had the Brazed Lamb Shank. It was tender falling off the bone and easily separated with a fork. I must say the portion was generous and delicious. I wound up taking some home for a second meal and to leave room for desert. My girlfriend had Pan Seared Branzino which was also a generous serving and delicious. My desert was the Tiramisu. My girlfriend who is not a big eater let me have her desert to go along with my take out. The service was prompt and cordial with Rosi as our serve who was attentive without being obtrusive. Ambiance is warm and comfortable with windows overlooking a little section of Rock Creek Park below Connecticut Avenue

Not what I hoped for . I reserved this for a business dinner. Website advertised a pris Fixe menu through end of febrauary. When booked on open table it asked if I was booking the pris Fixe menu and I said yes . When I hit there they said that menu was no longer available (I showed them what I had booked). The service was mediocre and the food was also underwhelming. The atmosphere was nice. Quiet and good for conversation.
