This spot has been one of my favorites for a while. My normal go to is the the ginger lemonade and the salmon salad. I decided to order from there for Diner En Blanc this year and I'm so glad zi did. FOODNeopol is a well-known staple in DC's sandwich scene. It's been on my list for a while and decided to try their classic salmon BLT. While the sandwich had some standout elements, it just wasn't for me. The salmon had a slightly metallic aftertaste that made it hard to enjoy after a few bites. However, the bread and bacon were fantastic. The bread was perfectly toasted, offering a satisfying crunch that contrasted nicely with the softer texture of the fish, and the bacon added just the right amount of salt to balance the meal. While the ingredients were clearly high-quality, the flavor of the salmon just didn't hit the mark for me.SERVICEThe staff are kind and efficient. The line can get long but AMBIANCELocated within a bustling food hall, there's plenty of seating available throughout the venue. It can get quite lively during meal hours, and Union Market is a popular spot even on weekdays.PARKINGAmple parking is available in the lot by Union Market. Be sure to store away valuables away from sight or simply leave them at home as burglary is not uncommon in the area.

This Gem is in Union Market Food Hall. The food is flavorful, fresh and just darn good. The service is a bit slow but that's because it's typically a line and it's that good. In my opinion best smoked salmon in the city. They also offer larger dishes for big groups. Ambiance ehh..can't judge because it's in union market but they do have a location in Baltimore.

So glad I decided to try this place out after seeing it on Yelp - I probably never would have known of it otherwise due to the countless other options in the Union Market area. The smoked salmon BLT is incredible - the smoked salmon is so moist and not fishy, and all the flavors and textures balance each other out so well. Service is relatively quick and there's lots of seating to choose from being in Union Market. Definitely will be coming back!

So good! So much salmon, they definitely do not skimp on the portions. The only thing I wish was different was that there was too much mayo for my liking, but each individual component in the sandwich was delectable. Somehow the bacon remains crispy the whole time you're eating the sandwich, and the salmon itself was perfectly smoked. Service was fast, they have a system down pat, and it's located in the cute union market so you can order other things too.

My favorite sandwich in the DMV is from here- the smoked salmon BLT and I add avocado. You can get it as a salad or on a variety of bread options but I prefer it on classic white bread. Service is fast and efficient- save your receipt for the ticket number to listen for. If you have pups with you they have salmon dog bones that my dog goes crazy for! It's always bustling but I've never waited more than 3 minutes for my order. A tip for anyone who wants to enjoy their meal onsite but avoid the rush for a table on the main floor of the market is to head through the stairwell directly next to where you pick your order up and go up to the rooftop for ample seating and great drink options/lawn games!
