Nankar Peru

Came in to have dinner. Husband had the 1/2 chicken and I had Lomo Saltado (which is a beef with onions and tomatoes) served with rice. The service was great; Food was very flavorful. Will definitely be back soon. If you are on the area, definitely give it a try, you won't be sorry.

Ordered the 1/2 Chicken -had flavor...tiny size for what we got . Empanadas$$ for each one for quality. Plantains and fried rice all had good flavors

We decided to try the new Peruvian place in town. It was okay. Here's why: First off, it looks like the online menu doesn't have everything they serve at the restaurant, which is a bummer. Online is basically chicken and a lot of fried foods.Second: Salchipapa? Your restaurant is in Gainesville and they are promoting Salchipapa. Shows they don't really know their market. Nobody really wants this. Should showcase and promote more interesting dishes from Peru.Third: The rotisserie chicken is okay. It has this interesting caramel glaze on the outside. I didn't really care for it. It was also rather dry and not juicy. If you're going to do the chicken thing, go big or go home. If you're trying to promote other dishes of Peru that are more interesting, do that and drop the chicken. Fourth: The best thing we ate was probably the rice. It tasted very fresh and was well seasoned. Give the guy in the back who prepared the rice a raise!We probably will not return until they figure things out. Will continue to go to our usual chicken place.

New Peruvian Restaurant. This small business just opened and we bought so family members to kickstart this small business. The chicken had a great taste, but it wasn't not cook a the way. The French Fries were cold, the rice was cold. Everyone had a horrible experience.

First time in Nankar and it seems it won't be the last.Excellent service, i tried a shrimp soup and it was delicious. Can't wait to go back. 100% recommended.

The food was prepared fresh, and the food was flavorful and delicious. The one thing I can criticize is some of the mussels weren't popped open and not quite ready. The soup was full of shrimp, mussels, and fish. The broth was wonderful. I do think a smaller version should be offered, but easily can be shared. The wings don't need any sauce but we got some bbq sauce on the side. I thought the wings were well worth the price point. I'm definitely going back to try the 1/2 chicken and chaufas. I highly recommend.

I ordered several dishes to try this new Peruvian restaurant in Gainesville, all of it was take out. The person at the reception that took my order was pleasant and accurately estimated how long my order will take to be prepared. First all, I'm very excited that we finally got a Peruvian restaurant around this area. The Peruvian chicken was amazing !!!! One of the best one's I had , very well seasoned and perfectly cooked.The chupe de camarones was salty , however eating it with their white rice made an amazing pairing.The 'arroz chaufa' was not that great the rice was too mushy ; however it did have a lot of meat The lomo saltado was very bland and didn't have the flavor that I have been accustomed. Lastly the seco con frijoles was OK , I was surprised that I did not get 'salsa criolla' with it , again this is what I have gotten used to getting in other Peruvian restaurants when I have ordered this dish.I am already planning to go back to Nankar to order their amazing Peruvian chicken and I hope they get better at their other dishes

The Peruvian chicken is not what I expected, something is off with the color and taste. When I first saw the chicken I thought it was seasoned with barbecue or chipotle seasoning. The plantines and yuca were okay.

What a gem! Our combo had generous servings and the chicken and sauces were delicious. Our service was quick. Great for a quick, filling meal. Our combo could easily feed 3-4. Will definitely come back!

I'm very picky about my food and it's hard to make great lomo saltado but this place was awesome. I ordered it to go and I love how they packaged with the Lomo separate from the rice and French fries. Love how there was lots of "juice" with the lomo and the flavor was great. Didn't even know this place existed and glad I found it on Yelp. Not sure how the rest of the food is but I will definitely be using this place as my go-to for Lomo Saltado. The staff was also great.
