Pepperoni and sausage slice and buffalo chicken slice

I wound up here unintentionally after the place I had planned to eat at told me their kitchen was down, and I'm glad I did. The staff was friendly, helpful, and quick, and the food was inexpensive and good! They have combo deals for 1 or 2 slices of pizza and a drink (the prices differ a bit depending on the type of slice it is, but even the highest tier for 2 "specialty" slices is only $12). I bought the 2 specialty slices combo (I got buffalo chicken and a meat lovers slice), 3 garlic knots, and then I also got a liter of their San Pellegrino, and my total was right around $20. The slices were much larger than anticipated, even with seeing their display ones in the case first. I decided to eat in, and when they brought the slices over to me, they were piping hot. Both had great flavor (though I ate one at home later because they were so large), and it was solid New York style pizza, in my opinion (which I've struggled to find in DC). The garlic knots were also really good. They looked a bit different than I was accustomed to, but the dough had a good chew and wasn't too hard nor undercooked. They did have a very strong, sharp garlic flavor, which I happened to enjoy, but some people may not. Outside of the food, the customer service was great. This place has minimal seating and is more of a carry out spot, so I fully had planned to grab my pizza at the counter when my order was done and also to clean up the table when I was done (which is understandably usually the case for spots like this). But they brought the food over to me and made it a point to tell me not to worry about cleaning up the table. Both of the workers that I encountered were really friendly overall, and they were helpful. They also brought a freshly baked cookie to me and another person dining in (the cookie was also good!) unexpectedly, so that was very appreciated! There are a couple of things to be aware of if you come here, but neither really detracted from my experience, and I think are more-so just indicators that it is primarily a grab-and-go spot. The music *was* pretty loud in there. I got there around 2:30 PM on a Saturday, and the volume of the music was loud enough that it was a bit hard to hear when ordering. Additionally, it is a pretty small space. I believe there were 4 total tables inside and 2 tables outside (each with 2 chairs). When I got there, I was the only customer for a few minutes and the only one eating in, and then some others came in. The tables filled up pretty quickly between another individual dining in and a few others waiting for their takeout orders. I only say this because, if you come here, I wouldn't depend 100% on having a seat inside. Overall, I'm glad I decided to stop in here, and I am certain I will be back!

I noticed there weren't many reviews for this place so I wanted to go ahead and add mine. Me and a couple of friends were next-door at the boardroom in DC and decided we were hungry and saw a pizza flyer. We figured pizza would be perfect to split amongst four people and that was exactly right. We noticed that there were so many options, a list of toppings, and an array of sauces to chose from. We were excited to build a huge square pizza for the four of us to eat as many slices as we could handle. We decided to place our order over the phone and it took only 25 minutes. We literally walked to grab our pizza and bring it back to the boardroom, when I say I opened that box and saw heaven in a cardboard square, that's exactly what it was. We got the pepperoni pizza with spinach and Mike's hot honey on top with the spicy tomato sauce. That is the absolute perfect combo. The pizza was extremely fresh and hot and the sauce was spiced perfectly. They even gave us more spicy sauce and Parmesan cheese on the side. I 100% recommend ordering pizza from here when in the area. The price also wasn't terrible I think it was around $30. I can't wait to make this a staple when I come to DuPont circle.
