I had a nice experience at Muzette celebrating a friend's 30th! I wasn't responsible for the reservation making or even drink ordering at this spot, so this review is coming as somewhat of a bystander. Our group had a 9:15 reservation and hung out in the bar area until it was time to go into our private room. The rooms are well equipped and will house as many folks as it says, which is convenient for planning purposes. I appreciated the tambourine they provided and used it LIBERALLY, for ambiance. Many of your favorite tunes will be pushed right into the system, and there's also the option to look up any rogue songs not included on youtube. The sound is great and though there can be some microphone feedback. There's no real bleed through from the other rooms and definitely a party atmosphere.Full bar is available and I didn't try and food items. Overall a great spot to celebrate an occasion and release some serious dance/sing/play endorphins!

Our group easily spent 3 hours here and had such a fun time at Muzette! I haven't been to Korean karaoke in a minute, but I was particularly impressed by a few things here:- No score at the end of each song for how well you followed the lyrics (yes, this is a thing at some Karaoke places and I am NOT a fan); - A wide selection of songs in their system as well as allowing you to search on youtube (there wasn't a single song we could not find); and- The music videos are the actual song's music video, instead of a compilation of random images (this is also a thing at most karaoke places I have been to). The drinks and food menu are great, too. Plenty of different flavored soju pitchers, Korean snacks and desserts.

We didn't eat I'll admit to that we went purely for Karaoke and drinks. The service is great front counter staff are wonderful people and were super accommodating. They gave us a room in a great timely manner and we had a blast! The drinks were really good, my Fiancé and her friend enjoyed their drinks and I loved the bottle I got. The ambiance here is lovely, it's a casual and fun environment for a casual and fun place. It feels almost like a Karaoke cave as you go down the stairs to this unsuspecting place. You gotta try this when you can!

I've been coming to Muzette for most of the last decade, and it's one of my favorite places in DC. I love karaoke, and find the private room places are more fun as you get to focus on your group and you get to sing so much more. I much prefer Muzette to Wok & Roll; it's a little less crazy. Get your reservation in early as they book up quickly, particularly on the weekend. I recommend booking at least 2.5 hours if not 3, as you'll always want more time than you think you'll need, especially in a large group. Since the pandemic, they've updated their tech so you can search by name and artist instead of pouring through their outdated songbooks and grabbing the right code. They're not the most intuitive machines but they try to explain them when you first get in the room. The big downside to the new tech is that a lot of the songs they used to have aren't (yet?) available so you miss out on a lot. You do have the ability to toggle to YouTube to look up songs there but you can't do that while a video is playing, so it's impossible to tee one up. The staff is always friendly but direct; it's how they handle the big crowds (especially on weekends when it's packed with drunk people). They generally stay on top of delivering food and clearing away dishes, plus replenishing water pitchers. I don't always order food, but lately I've been ordering the veggie mandu and it's delicious. This past weekend I got them fried and they were perfection. The food is on the pricier side, so if you're looking for something cheaper (or something that isn't Korean), then eat elsewhere first. There are a ton of options on 18th street! A pro-tip: order your food/drinks from the bar directly if you're with a group splitting the cost of the room, otherwise your individual items are charged against the reservation.

So as far as a great group outing, this place can't be beat! Essentially you get a private room for kareoking with your friends. If your friends are lame and don't sing then this place can be pretty lame, but if you have super outgoing and fun friends this is the perfect place. Song choices are endless primarily because they have a karaoke system but if the song of your choice isn't there, you can easily navigate to youtube. I didn't order any food but my friends did. All of them enjoyed their food based on their commentary. We were a group of 15 so maybe 4-5 ordered food. Lastly, the 3 stars is for the lack of communication when booking. If you have never been there it's an interesting process. You email them to book and you get a general confirmation email. I called at 5PM (5:05PM) and got no answer for almost 30 minutes. I wanted to speak to someone day of to confirm what actually was to occur. Once I was there they took my card and ID until we finished and I cashed out at the end. I would definitely go back now that I know what to expect.

First time here but will definitely not be the last! Came for a friends Pre-birthday bash with a group of nine! I'm not even going to lie I was not thinking I was going to enjoy karaoke this much! But man it has opened my mind to more things to do out in DC that's outside the box. The best part of having this private karaoke room is everyone can feel comfortable and be themselves without feeling like they gotta act a certain way. This is the first time I actually went up and sang anything! Lol. Usually I'll be too shy but again another advantage of having that private room. And there's a plethora of songs and they include the explicit versions which usually I have never seen before! Great! LolNow to order the food is one of the best ways I've seen in a long time! Now everyone downloaded the menu on their phones and was able to order what they want. Which is cool because there isn't any of that trying to split checks nonsense that can get tedious! And the turnaround for you getting your order was crazy fast! I was like well damn....lol. And the food options are great and tasty. If you like Korean/Asian food you will have no problem finding something to munch on. My only complaint is the drinks which were really made good was given to us in those small plastic I would say kid cups, but their prices were still the standard DC prices. Other than that I can't wait to come back with the group of ladies again because we had a blast!

Despite the food being mediocre and the cocktails being mediocre, I still give this place 5 stars. It's an awesome place to rent a private karaoke room for a groups. most of the songs on our list were available and we had a blast jamming out. Stick with beer and wine to drink, eat elsewhere, and just come for the singing!

We come here for the karaoke! Food is not great and the service is very self-serve or nonexistent. It's a fun time with friends but we'd go somewhere better if there was a place that was closer!

The customer service was great! We unfortunately had to reschedule and was late to the rescheduling due to car troubles but they were nice enough to let us at least use the karaoke room for an hour until another party came in. The food was really great! I got the bulgogi udon and it was very flavorful. I always wanted to try hotteok and this pastry was delightful with the accompanying mochi ice cream. It is a great destination in DC for a night out.

Came here for karaoke with a big group and we had a great time. In terms of karaoke, I liked how their machine had both the built-in song list as well as an option to play any Youtube video on the screen. You can also order food and drinks directly to the room by scanning a QR code inside the room. I thought the beef dumplings were super delicious, especially with the sauce they gave. The veggie and kimchi dumplings were meh. Service was decent, some food came kinda slowly but it's ok.
