Era-themed glam with gemstone colored decor. There are group booths, a circular couch, and intimate tabletops. The bar provides a view of the entire spot. The Board Room sits on the other side of the exit/bathrooms.I have visited this location for multiple private events. I recommend Ms. Peacocks for special occasions, dates, and a night on the town. Superb service, private rooms, adjacent to a lit location, good food selection, and more!My wine club anniversary event was set here in 2022. We had a sparkling and champagne tasting. The list was curated by the staff. Written description of each glass helped move the day's event along. Private events, such as the Bourbon and Bubbles, and Sip n' Script make this such a fun venue for memorable interaction.

Our drinks were served in plastic cups, the French 75 was more like a Fake 75, the bathroom was filthy and stank, the food was cold and the place closed at 11 p.m. instead of 2 a.m. as advertised. We were expecting a peacock, but got a chicken. My party of 5 visited this place two nights in a row and was disappointed both times. On Thursday we discovered it was closed for a private tasting; the waiter acted as if we were a bunch of clairvoyants and were somehow supposed to know that in advance. He then asked, "Were you not able to call ahead?" Yes, I suppose we should have just randomly called before we came. (Eye roll) Why not post the closing on the website so your patrons will know? But we were a determined, convivial bunch-determined to try the French 75, that is, so we called and made reservations for the next night.Well, we should have stayed home. The milieu of a 1920s champagne lounge with beautiful velvet banquettes and soft lighting was spoiled by a bunch of tacky plastic drinking cups. And don't get me started on the French 75. I didn't have one but everyone at the table who did gave it a firm thumbs down, though someone discovered later that all the gin was hiding at the bottom of the glass. I had a Le Fizz and was happy with it. My spanakopita was cold and barely cooked, but I ate it anyway. We'd planned to have two more friends join us until we found out the advertised hours were a complete lie-this place closed a full 4 hours early.Ms. Peacock's is a cool concept and has a great marketing team (I was drawn in by the pictures on the website and social media) but has some serious operational issues. Pray for them.

Came here on a Thursday for drinks after work. The doors were locked at 6:30pm. Apparently it's just the back of board room and is unattended.

Always a great experience! This is my go-to date night spot. It's nice to be able to try a variety of sparkling wines without having to commit to an entire bottle. The wine and cocktail list is great and the bartenders are always super knowledgeable and able to provide great recommendations. I tried a Spanish cava, a French brut, and a California rose based on recommendations and all 3 were fantastic with very different flavors. Their Friday $1 oyster special is also great to kick off the weekend!

As much as I dislike leaving negative reviews, both times I've tried to visit Ms. Peacock's have been negative experiences. On two separate occasions, months apart, the staff has really been disappointing. The first time, some friends and I came here for a quick nightcap before turning in. It was an hour before closing, but the bartender acted like our presence there was an annoyance. We were served our drinks with attitude and then just given the check without asking for it. We were only going to stay a little while anyway, but the whole experience was off-putting and rude.Thinking this must have been a one off (hey, everyone has bad days), I returned with a second group of friends this past weekend. An hour and a half before closing time on a Saturday night, we walked in and the lady behind the bar told another employee (who was just sitting at a table not doing anything) to "tell them we're closed" in Spanish. Plot twist: I speak fluent Spanish and understood what she said, as well as the aggravated tone she took. I asked (in English) if they were open (they are open - Yelp, google, and their posted hours) and he tepidly answered "closing..." I didn't want to blow up their spot since ultimately, I don't want to be helped by someone who clearly doesn't want to help me, but come on. Listen, I understand people have off days but if you're open, be open. Don't act annoyed when customers walk in during business hours and want to pay you money. It's clearly not a one off situation. Maybe this place is good for private parties, but what could have been an amazing spot had really been ruined for me by the poor staff behavior.

March 2021 - COVID Review:I was invited to attend Pastry Codex's French Macaron Class that's hosted at the lounge and it was a great time! We all wore masks and had socially distanced and disinfected stations!Chef Michael is very knowledgeable and patient with all of us since we were all beginners. I know how finicky these little cookies can be, but I enjoyed learning how to make them and French buttercream from scratch! I may still be buying from the pros in the meantime.... but still really cool to say that I was able to make a batch that didn't look half bad! At least they tasted great though. He offers many other types of baking classes that I hope to be able to try my hands at in the future! Ms. Peacock's is on the backside of The Boardroom and there's a garage attached where you can pay for hourly parking. If you go on a Sunday, street parking is free!

Went here with a friend while we were walking around the Clarendon area. This place is sometimes hard to get to since it has limited hours and is booked at times for private events, but I was so happy it was open when I walked by! I've been trying to go for awhile now and was so happy it was available. This place had speakeasy vibes and lots of peacock decor - obviously! Very great photo opps. Cute inside and drinks were good and strong. It's small inside, but that's what adds to the charm. They have large mirrors inside which makes it feel a bit bigger. I really want to come back and bring my fiancée to have date night. This place was awesome and you feel cool just being part of the crowd by knowing about it.

Nestled in the backside of The Board Room, Virginia is Ms. Peacock's Champagne Lounge. The lounge is reminiscent of eras past with nostalgic champagne flutes, thoughtful decor and ambiance. I chose Ms. Peacocks's for a 1920s themed birthday party. The entire experience was excellent. I was given an exceptionally good value for a space that needs little additional decoration because it is so well conceptualized. The catering menu was also very reasonable and they allowed me to bring in a cake from an external vendor as well. Stepping into the champagne room you are greeted with peacock blue, velvet sofas and beautiful countertops. With a main room, hidden Captain's Lounge (behind a bookcase) and patio guests quite enjoyed themselves during their time. The staff even crafted a specialty drink for our event and were personable and accommodating throughout the entire experience. The owner invited me to enjoy a Moet tasting at a discounted price when I was visiting venues prior to making my decision. Ms. Peacock's often has themes such as these that are wonderful for date nights, I hope to return. The coordinator Bianca, manager Ali and owner Mark all did their collective parts to make sure my friend's party was a success and I am grateful for it!

Celebrated my retirement party at Ms. Peacock's and it was an amazing night! The atmosphere is sophisticated yet fun and the catered food was absolutely delicious. Erica was so easy to work with to set the event up, and Ali was an absolute professional and delight at the event. Ali crafted delicious drinks and made the night a true joy. Highly recommend for any event or a night out. Ms. Peacock's is a hidden gem!
