Motier

Motier is a favorite morning stop for coffee and pastry. Going for lunch is a truly special experience the poêlée de chèvre is something you will crave once you've tried it.

This restaurant has so much untapped potential. For one, it is closed to the lunch crowds. Seemingly it is unaware of how well it would do.Today we stopped on our way to a reliable Italian restaurant around the corner and when we popped our heads inside all of the tables had "reservation" on them. We had expected this (happened before ) and as the server was telling us one thing someone else sat us. The food was wonderful and I would love to add this to my rotation but it's a long way to go in a niche area to not know whether they will accommodate you. That's the reason for the star deduction. As far as ambiance it's perfectly lovely for a small cafe. It was great to finally have a chance to eat here

Authentic French cuisine! Service was excellent as well, we did not have reservations, but the friendly staff accommodated us quickly. The ambiance is a cute bistro and I can't wait for warmer weather to sit outside soon. We had theFrench onion soup, which was prepared in a lighter style and more authentic than the dark soups you ate probably use to in the US versions. Highly recommend coming here and grabbing a freshly made pastry. They go quickly!

Had lunch here on a Saturday -- cozy restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. Our server was kind and polite. We also had the opportunity to meet the Chef! Very sweet and you can tell how much joy it brings him to see folks enjoying their meals. My friend and I shared 3 dishes together (captioned in picture). Everything was delicious but my favorite had to be the Croque Monsieur and the salad that came with it. It was so savory! We also had a cup of Cafe creme. Highly recommend and we'll definitely be back!

Small cozy French bakery and restaurant in a cute town. Great food and pastry! Reserve a table if you want to dine in coz there aren't too many tables.

Adorable little french cafe. We ordered the onion soup and quiche lorraine. Both amazing and flavorful. Service was quick, can't wait to go back to try their pastries.

I have been here a few times and it is always amazing!! The ambiance, service, food, everything really is what brings me back every time. This time we had the sea bass special, omelette, almond croissant, and the French onion soup (HAVE TO TRY). We went during brunch and everything was so tasty. We always get the French onion soup - it is the best I have ever had. It is so light, well balanced and extremely refreshing. We don't have a photo because we devoured that and the croissant immediately. The location is in a cute and cosy area that you can explore. We went hiking after as there are a few trails near by. Would recommend to anyone!!

A lovely French bakery in old town Clifton! It is a small bakery, but seating for both inside and outside. It makes me think of one having a tea party :) my family and I shared an almond croissant and ham and cheese croissant. Both were good, but I preferred the almond croissant. Prices for croissants were a little higher than what I'm used to, but they probably use quality ingredients and with inflation, I'm sure it all adds up. Highly recommend and plan to visit again! Customer service was fantastic as well!

This is a very quaint family owned restaurant in Clifton. We came here to try their baked goods and lunch. For lunch we ordered the french onion soup and ratatouille. All the ingredients were fresh, and the dishes were well seasoned. The owners and their son were working that day and we were able to chat a bit with them. They were all so nice and welcoming!Would definitely want to visit again in the future for their dinner.

Motier transports me back to France with every visit! And the owners are such a joy to chat with. I would go here everyday if I could as their food is just amazing.
