We went here Saturday night, my family usually eat out after service so we came here since we haven't been to this Moby dick in particular.Service was great, the cashier was very pleasant and patiently waited for us to choose our orders. He answered all my questions nicely. We got the food about 10-15 minutes. For our order and it came nice and hot.The food was good as always with Moby dick, the steak could be a little bit more tender but all in all we were satisfied with our orders and was even able to take home some leftovers home. The restaurant was small and cute but clean and organized.

I'm so glad to see this shopping mall (strip mall, really) finally being used in Burtonsville again! The renovation looks amazing, and I'm already seeing new businesses start to occupy the spaces! Moby Dick House of Kabob is one of my favorite kabob restaurants in the area, so I was even more excited to see that one was moving in here.Unfortunately, it doesn't have quite the same excellence I'm used to from this chain. Here's what was particular notable.1. Prices - I get there's inflation, but for the cost, it's really just a giant plate of rice with your kabobs. And I mean a LOT of rice. For one entrée plus a drink, you're spending over 20 bucks for lunch. That's steep.2. Service - For a place just being opened, I was amazed at how little anyone inside the place seemed to care. I don't mean anyone was rude, but employees were on their cell phones a lot, nobody smiled, and everyone just gave off this aura of "I hate this job." Maybe that will iron out after a few more months? Maybe?3. Bread - The rest of the food was great, but the bread was very lackluster. One of the nicer things about MDHoK is how fresh their bread usually is. I don't know if they're pre-making batches here, but the bread had zero puff to it, it was already hard and slightly stale, and it had zero flavor, which was actually the most surprising part. Usually you get that kind of doughy zip to it, but this just tasted flatter than the bread actually was. Here's the thing, though! It's not all negative! These were just the issues that stuck out to me the most. I still think MDHoK has the best kabobs in the area! Their meat is always very well seasoned and cooked perfectly. The rice, for as much as there is, consistently comes out fluffy and tasty. And it's very easy to see how one 20 entrée could last two meals. So, you do get your money's worth. The location is also very clean, which if we're being honest is partly due to how short a time it's been open. But, I do like the décor overall. It has a modern look, while retaining that Mediterranean color scheme.I'll happily update my review if further experiences turn out better, but for now, it's still only 'mid.' Great kabobs, huge portions, but a hefty price tag, unwelcoming staff, and underwhelming bread.

I'm so happy this location is finally open! I no longer have to go to Olney for my fix. This is much closer. They're in Burtonsville Crossing! My online order yesterday was ready when I arrived. I was greeted immediately. The place is clean. I got the chicken kabob (joojeh) entree with rice and salad. It was good. I loved the green sauce. The pita was hard and inedible.I'll visit again! Welcome to the neighborhood!

I haven't eaten at a fast food kabob place but this food was really good and I was pleasantly surprised we ordered lamb gyros and they were flavorful. The service took awhile but it was worth It for the food. The restaurant was also very clean and everyone was friendly. The chicken and beef with rice was also good. The beef seemed under cooked and a bit mushy in the middle.

(short review) Clean facilities, gyro sandwich was made to order, good was tasty.(long review) I had a good experience at Mody Dick; this was my first visit at any of their locations. When I walked in, I was a little nervous because it was completely empty and I didn't smell anything at all. I was expecting to smell some kind of food, but it was just clear air. At least it didn't smell bad. The place was clean and quiet; the workers in the back were hanging out leaning against the counter since there were no customers. They hopped up to attention when I came in.I ordered a gyro sandwich, dulmeh, and fries. The gyro sandwich was good: plenty of meat, good ratio of the other toppings. The cucumber sauce added a bit of freshness, but I think the gyro tastes better on its own. I prefer the soft, pillowy pity bread to the wrap they used here, but it was still good. The dulmeh were good as well: wrapped tight and pre-packed in a refrigerated case next to the register. They have a hint of sweetness to them. The fires were typical. I thought I was supposed to get sumac fries, but they were just plain fries. I think they made them fresh, so they were nice and hot; no limp, soggy fries in this order.Overall good experience.

Great service, juicy and flavorful chicken & beef. The rice and salad are always flavorful. The white & green sauces pair great with the meat and pita.

Very clean, spacious and welcoming. Menu is very classic with an array of salads, kabobs and Persian specials. I ordered the salmon kabob dinner. It has a huge mound of fluffy long grain rice, top with perfectly cooked salmon cubes. They were juicy on the inside with a nice char on the outside. The platter also has grilled onions. The side salad that came with this dish was very fresh. The greens were crunchy and topped with tomatoes, hot pepper, feta cubes and beets. Prices are reasonable, service was fast.

We are so excited about this new Moby Dick that just opened up. We have ordered delivery and pick up several times and have not been disappointed. Food is prepared quickly and taste great! The restaurant is small but has seating for about 15-20 people. The price for the food is great. We will be ordering here like once a week. We do use the Moby website and have a log in to get points. Most of try meat is halal.

After doing some grocery shopping nearby we decided to pick up lunch at Moby Dick House of Kabob. It was our first time there and we ordered two chicken kabob platters with rice and salad to go. The platter included chunks of marinated white meat chicken, rice and a side salad. The chicken was tender and delicious. There was a very very generous serving of lightly seasoned rice and in a separate container a side salad. The side salad was much nicer than I would expect for a "fast food" style restaurant. Our meal included two small containers of condiments. I absent mindlessly opened one and poured it on the salad. Oops, it was the tzatziki sauce for the kabobs, the slighly smaller one contained a nice vinaigrette for the salad. Lesson learned. The portions were so generous we ended up sharing one order and saving the other one for lunch the next day. When we went back a second time we just ordered one lunch and an appetizer of falafel. I'm not a huge fan of falafel but Rich loves it and thought this version was nice and crispy and he thoroughly enjoyed it. We will definitely be picking up lunch at Moby Dick again. For us it was a perfect light and satisfying meal. And after reading other reviews I am looking forward to trying a salmon platter next visit.

I have been to this restaurant in other locations, however this one stands out for a few reasons. The food is Persian with a variety of Kabobs including Salmon. The person that took my order was Mehdi. He was so kind and gave me a cup to try the amazing homemade iced tea. The tea was so refreshing with a hint of lemon. The restaurant was busy at the time and I noticed how much the people at the tables were enjoying the food and environment. It's fresh and new in the updated Burtonsville shopping center that includes a Sprouts restaurant. I ordered the Moby combo II. The chicken was fresh juicy pure chicken breast and so flavorful. The beef kabob was so tender and delicious. The basmati rice and grilled tomatoes are also delicious. On another visit 2 weeks ago, on a Friday the special was Gourmet Sabzi it was amazing too with so many fresh herbs, greens and very tender chunks of beef with well cooked kidney beans. I will definitely return for the service, food, and brand new environment! I can't recommend it enough and you will Not be disappointed!
