Great little sushi place in the heart of McLean.Super cozy vibes, sushi is great, no issues with the quality or taste of the food. I always get the Yaki Maki roll which is cooked and it's really yummy. Their udon is pipping hot and great on a cold winter night.The staff is super nice, they are a smaller group but very homey vibe.

Disappointing food in our first visit to Miyagi. Sushi was watery, like it has not been stored properly. The spicy salmon was little bits instead of big chunks. The chicken teriyaki was over cooked little pieces (the accompanying bit of broccoli and carrots were good, but ice cold). Service was ok. Lastly, you had better remember what you ordered and how much it cost because the bill is not itemized!

About a 2-2.5: It's been a while since I've been to Miyagi; because I was in the area, I've decided to try them out for lunch.I ordered the Sushi & Sashimi Combo, under their lunch specials - this came with tuna, salmon, shrimp nigiri (it also stated 'crab', but this was not included); tuna, salmon, white fish, and octopus sashimi, and 3 pieces of California roll.The nigiri was fine, but the rice wasn't prepared well in which it just fell apart easily. The sashimi could have been more fresh; the octopus had a fishy smell to it, which was pretty unappetizing. The California roll was okay, but again, the rice wasn't prepared well that it fell apart easily.Miso soup was served with, which was piping hot and a great way to start off the meal.You also are asked if you want low-sodium or regular soy sauce, which I thought was a nice touch.Service was friendly, but a little absent-minded; I had to request water.Note that the restaurant doesn't have a website, so the menu and the prices does not reflect the current pricing you'll be paying (about a 40% mark-up). I felt you're not really getting the value for the meal.Plenty of free parking in the area.+not-so-fresh sashimi+friendly service

Server denied serving my 6yo WATER. This place has no family values & are money hungry. NOT KID FRIENDLY. Ambiance too small and crowded place. Food is basic. Better sushi places elsewhere.

We have been going to Miyagi for years and normally I would rate them 4-stars. We carried out 3 orders of shrimp tempura roll and one order of fried gyoza. These are pretty simple items... I am truly disappointed to share that the food was terrible and not worth eating. The Gyoza were extremely hard and the rolls would disintegrate as soon as one tried to pick them up with a chopstick. I called the restaurant and let them know. Besides a friendly sorry there was no offer to make up for the disappointing experience!

Excellent quality of Sushi. Quick. Simple set up but very neat and clean. My favorite for getting Japanese food

When you ordered a lot of food, so I got the opportunity to try almost everythingIt was all great It was pretty authentic because the servers were pretty strict about not switching out, menu items. No substitutions, which is consistent with Japanese restaurants .

Miyagi has become my favorite sushi spot in the McLean area for several reasons. The cozy ambiance creates a welcoming dining experience, and the prices are very reasonable considering the high quality of the food. The sushi at Miyagi is simply delicious and has become a favorite for both me and my 6 1/2-year-old, who is a sushi lover. We frequently go to this restaurant often and are never disappointed. If you're looking for a fantastic sushi place with great value, Miyagi is the perfect choice!

Great service and delicious food. We have been going to Miyagi for many years. Their sushi is consistently the best. They have a great takeout option as well. We don't go anywhere else as Miyagi sets a high standard.

I've been going here for over 15 years. It is still my favorite sushi place. The creamy garlic spicy tuna, backed scallop roll, red devil, and yaki maki are my favorite.
