This is quite nostalgic. This space used to be Sugar Shack Donuts before the pandemic, and I used to get my card stamped because I was in love with their donuts! I didn't even realize this was the same space until I stepped inside. Going from pizza to donuts is definitely not a downgrade... And it's Black-owned -- specifically, Eritrean! Thankfully you're able to try pizzas by the slice, so I started off with the cheese & pepperoni, which were both great. The slices were rather large, and foldable, and the cheese, sauce and crust were a win to me! The bottom crust was quite thin, but not in a deterring manner. I was still hungry, so I decided to get adventurous and try a specialty. I tried the Derho, which is their basically their SPICY chicken pizza. Not only was it delicious, but it was really filling, wow! They didn't have the tilapia, but I want to try that next!While I miss the donut spot, this pizza spot more than makes up for it. And they have salads, ice cream, cakes, wings, and more. Can't wait to try more! Staff were awesome too.

I love a good speakeasy and if this is your first one, then it may be worth the trip but if you been to speakeasies before you may be a bit disappointed with this. First, the entry to this one is great. I love how it's located in an unassuming pizza shop and the walk to the bar just builds anticipation for the experience behind the door but afterwards the experience just falls short. The space is nice and the service was great but the quality of the food is not worth another trip. Also, our bartender was nice and accommodating but you can tell he was just starting out. If you are getting a craft drink you should be able to tell your bartender your spirit and flavor. If it was off the menu, no luck. I probably won't return but if it's your first speakeasy it may be work the experience.

I was out on 9th st and decided to grab some pizza. The employees including the owner, Yosief, were very kind! I ordered slices of the cheese and derho pizza. They were both delicious. I would love to come back to try the Ferrovia pizza. This place also has a great surprise! I can't wait to come back.

Stopped by Minya's this week. Grabbed a ginger tea (amazing) and avocado toast. Both were delicious. The bread for the toast was locally sourced and the ginger tea was from their in house brand imported from Eritrea. Oh and surprise there is a beautiful SPEAKEASY downstairs! I will definitely return to try their derho (think Doro Wot) pizza and to visit the speakeasy. Excellent customer service and quality food. A must try in the city.

Nicest people ever and their BBQ chicken pizza was really unique. They mentioned that they added Ethiopian spices to their recipe which made it super flavorful (sweet and a hint of spicy).
