We had an amazing time! The food was fantastic and the service amazing! There were 5 of us, so we decided to order Combo #2 which had great variety to meet everyone's interest. And it was a hit! Our favorites were the Bulgogi and Galbi. And our waiter made sure that all meats were cooked just right!Warning! You need to make a reservation well in advance ... but it's worth it.

Overall: 3/5I came here with a friend, excited to try this place out after hearing so much praise. I made a reservation for 5:45, we got there at 5:40, and were seated at around 6:05pm.Food: 3/5 - We got the combo 2 which came with beef brisket, pork belly, bulgogi and beef short rib. The meat was good but honestly not something that was truly memorable especially for the price. The side dishes were good but we didn't get refills on any of the side dishes and also didn't get any corn cheese/steamed egg which I thought came with the meal.Service: 3.5/5 - Our server was kind but did not really talk or explain the menu at all. He just came to take our order and would occasionally come by to cook the meat, but did not give our table any refills on the side dishes. Value: 3/5 - Our total ended up being close to $50 with tip with the lowest suggested tip being 20% of the bill. I'm not too certain if that price point is worth the quantity, quality and service that this place has to offer.Overall, I came in with high expectations and left feeling underwhelmed. Because there are so many kbbq places in this area, I don't see myself coming back and especially without a reservation (where I have heard wait times can be up to an hour plus).

Meokja Meokja has been open since 2018. It is located on Lee highway near the fairfax circle shopping center. They have pretty much claimed the number one spot for KBBQ in NOVA for some time now. The quality of the meats, service, vibe are all factors that make this place stand out. I recommend coming here right at open so that you do not have to wait 1-2 hours. There is always a line here before it opens. I also recommend ordering individual meats rather than ordering the combo option. I think you can save more this way. The service varies based on your server. Sometimes you will get someone that is attentive and good at grilling the meat or sometimes you will get someone who isn't attentive and bad at grilling. The egg, corn cheese, soup are all included so don't order them. On average it is about $40-50 per person here if you want to eat well. It is worth spending this amount in my opinion. Their cold noodles are also pretty good. The spicy version might seem spicy, but I think their sauce has a lot of sugar.

We went here for the first time tonight and loved it. 4 of us split the combo #2-brisket, pork belly, bulgogi and galbi, plus all the sides and trimmings. It was all delicious, the galbi was my favorite, and the portions were perfect for 4. Service was very good as well. Will definitely come back!

Delicious kbbq in a smaller restaurant. I love a spot that doesn't make you do all you can eat. The wait is long so reservations are definitely recommended. The ban chan is delicious and the corn cheese is one of my favorites. Service is great and very helpful. Would definitely comeback!

About a 1-1.5: Meokja Meokja is one of those KBBQ places that starts off great, offering good quality meats at a competitive price, but starts to teeter off due to their popularity. They rarely have any availability, and one would have to make reservations at least 2-3+ weeks out. But, it's all hype. The meats are not consistent, and the ban chans/side dishes are plated in advance, so it's already dried out or lukewarm when they are delivered to your table. The servers who grill the meats do it so haphazardly that the raw juices just splatter onto the ban chans, your clothes, and all the surfaces. It's gross, and this shows that they want you to finish you up as soon as possible to let the next party seated. You know, kind of like an assembly line.If you want to do walk-ins, the only chance you'll have is to line up before they open to grab a table, but it's dependent on your party size.No dice, Meokja Meokja.+rushed service+inappropriately cooked meats+lukewarm side dishes +advance reservations recommended

This is my FAVORITE Korean BBQ spot in the DMV. This review is long overdue, but I can also give a more objective review since I've been here several times over the years since its opening. The best thing about Meokja Meokja is that the quality of the food and service has not declined at all since it first opened. Service is always spectacular and the quality of the meats remain consistently fresh. Prices for the different cuts of meat in my opinion have also remained extremely fair. The banchan are also plentiful and yummy. They also finally allow reservations as well (make reservations online)! I highly recommend the brisket, spicy pork belly, galbi, and thick unmarinated pork belly! Don't forget to also order the corn cheese and egg :) Don't forget to tip the servers! They work so hard and always grill the meats to perfection!

We made reservations in advance which is the ideal choice when wanting to eat here. This is my first time with Korean BBQ so I did not know what to expect. Our server I believe his name was Danny? Was very friendly and polite. Upon sitting at the table, an array of sides are laid out around the grill including pickled raddish, lemongrass salad, potato, and kimchi. I did my best to try all of them, except for the kimchi. We ordered a variety of meats and accompanying sides including the brisket, short rib, and ribeye steak. While all the meats were thinly sliced, the short ribs had more fat on it than I would've preferred. I enjoyed the brisket the most. For the sides we ordered a salad and I really enjoyed the dressing, cheesy corn (which is exactly what it sounds like), and steamed egg. We also ordered Korean beer with a shot of yogurt flavored Korean saki. I enjoyed the beer but found the saki too sweet for my tastebuds when combined with the beer. The inside is dark and dimly lit. They have a television inside and a little nook with seating for a waiting area.

Meokja Meokja is my go-to comfort a la carte kbbq spot, as it's down the road from where I live. With affordable options and the oh so desired corn cheese... it's a fan favorite. My favorite options to eat here are the brisket and pork belly, and maybe down it with some soju if I'm here with some friends catching up. I like the pocha vibes here and the playlist is always fire here. The staff are super friendly and helpful too, so check it out!

We had a great dinner here on a Friday night. We ordered the prime combo for 2, and it was enough for three of us (and we were hungry!). The service was friendly and super efficient- our water seemed to be sprinting between tables to take orders and turn the bbq at exactly the right time? The interior was simple but inviting. I don't way this often, but it was actually worth the drive from DC to get this food!
