Overall: Fresh food, authentic flavor, great service.Atmosphere: This place is a small Mediterranean supermarket with a few tables for those wishing to dine in. It's not crowded the tables are right next to the window. Food: Everything you order comes straight out of the oven and into your plate, including the bread. They offer a good selection of Mediterranean salads that are very good, healthy, and fresh. The flavor is authentic. Service: This place is great for a group brunch especially when you do family style. The owners are very nice and accommodating and pay special attention to every customer. Verdict: MUST TRY

The Mediterranean Gourmet Market is tucked away in the Franconia Center Mall, a small strip plaza off of Franconia. This market / restaurant has been around since the early 2000, and you can dine-in, take-out, purchase some groceries, and even place catering options.A dear friend and I had an early lunch here, and we ordered:+tabouleh - made with parsley, buqul, mint, tomatoes, onions, lemon juice, and olive oil+fattoush - made with parsley, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, green peppers, cucumber, mint, sumac, and olive oil, with toasted pita mixed in+a Vegetarian Sampler - came with falafels, tabouleh, hummus, baba ghannouj, and grape leaves, with a side of toasted pita bread+a Mixed Kabob platter - came with beef tenderloin kabob, chicken kabob, and kafta kabob, all charbroiled to perfection+a Chicken Shawarma - filled with marinated slices of chicken, garlic paste, tomatoes, and pickles+Gyro - slices of beef and lamb with lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and cucumber yogurt sauce+Meat pie+Spinach Pie+KibbehEach of the dishes were pretty tasty - you can tell that everything was made in-house, and it was simple and good. I'd like to try their Spinach Manakish, Kishk Manakish, and possibly their Foul M'Damas on the next visit. You walk up to the deli counter in the back and place your order; eventually, your order will be called. There are some seating inside where you can dine-in.Staff were friendly. While you are waiting for your food, you can peruse through their little market. Once you're done with your meal, you just pay up at the cash register, located at the front of the store.Plenty of parking in the strip plaza lot.+good dips+tasty charbroiled kabobs+friendly staff+ample parking in strip plaza lot

Customer service was lacking. No one greeted me as I entered the restaurant and the person taking my order was more interested in his phone than work. I ordered the beef sharawma. The meat was extremely dry and tough. I will not be a repeat customer.

I found this little market one day when I stopped off in the shopping center and I'm so glad that I did. The food here is AMAZING!! The chicken pita sandwich was so phenomenal. Everything is super fresh and I also got some baklava which was also delicious. They do have seating inside if you choose to eat there, they also double as a market and have a lot of traditional Mediterranean food for sale. If you're a fan of Mediterranean cuisine then give this place a chance, it's unassuming look will blow your taste buds away!

Food! Go for the food! Family run.Went on a Saturday, parking lot was busy and nearly full. Regardless, grab a menu order in the back and grab a seat. Vegetarian sampler and a mixed kabob and shish kabob platters arrived in a timely manner. Low key paper plates, but perfectly cooked, family happy. Will go back

Best Mediterranean/Middle Eastern flatbreads in the area! There's a few places nearby that make these, but the ones here are my favorite. Not too thick, not too thin, has some bubbled up spots that get golden brown, good texture, and excellent flavor. I've tried all the options they make at this point, and they are all delicious. The spinach and spinach and cheese manakish have diced onions and lemon juice mixed in with the spinach, which make a very tasty combo. Other places I've tried this at usually keep the spinach plain by comparison. In addition to the cafe, this place has a grocery section with Mediterranean items. I've gotten some cheeses here that were good and would recommend coming here if you need Mediterranean or Middle Eastern ingredients that you can't find in big chain stores.
