Came here for the first time for for breakfast with a friend. We both ordered their Matchbox scramble, so total came out to approximately $37 (not including tip).What's hot - Menu. Good variety. There appears to be something for everyone, possibly vegans, as well. Their brunch menu is simple and straightforward. - Quality. Pretty good. The egg scramble had a good flavor and not overly seasoned. The breakfast potatoes were soft and tender on the inside, and slightly crispy on the outside.- Location. Conveniently located at a mall and close to the Pentagon City metro station. The layout inside is pretty large- 2 stories, which is probably helpful when it's very busy.- Price. Reasonable. For breakfast for 2 for a little under $40 is pretty good value for money. From what I saw on the rest of their menu, the same applies.What's not- Service. Lacking. To be fair, my friend and I were there when it wasn't busy (I.e., breakfast). It does not appear to be a large staff during the morning. However, the staff that are there were terrible at following up with simple things, like refilling water glasses. After they gave us our first round of water, no one even asked if we needed refills. Definitely lack of attention to detail. Another example, the fire alarm went off and no one came to us to tell us what safety measures to take and/or if it was nothing to worry about. Final AnswerWould be willing to come back, but not a first choice.

Food was so good. We came for an early lunch. The pizza bread was soo good. For only $5 it was so worth it and delicious. We then ordered the breakfast sandwich and chick fettuccine. Grabbed lunch with a friend after exploring D.C. We opted for the street corn app, pepperoni pizza, and some chicken fingers with fries. Everything was good; my friend was obsessed with the street corn. I thought it was good too, a bit spicy for me but she wanted to order extra. I believe our server's name was something with a B (maybe Bronson?) and he was attentive and friendly. Would come back.

I ordered Tito's and sprite like I always do and it tasted like water. Asked him to take it back and asked for a water instead.The Tuna Tartare was supposed to have a spicy aioli and was not spicy at all. It had more avocado in it than Tuna then I am used to from other restaurants.Although the staff were friendly, I did not care for this restaurant and left promptly.

Matchbox hosted a private event for my organization. When we arrived, we were promptly seated upstairs. Our servers worked hard to take care of our large party throughout the night. They were very friendly and attentive. The food and drinks were very good! The bread was ah-maz-ing!!! I finished all of my food, which I rarely do. Thanks to Matchbox for such a great experience!

The food here is great! I love that it's right at the Metro Station and has great Happy Hour options during the week. Every time I try something new, it becomes a new favorite. I've never had anything I didn't like. My favorites now are the Crispy Chicken Sandwich, Sticky Pork Ribs, Old Bay Wings, and a Classic Pepperoni pizza. I've never had to wait long for a table. Service can be a little slow sometimes, but nothing too crazy. I love sitting at the bar, but there's plenty of other tables and room upstairs for large parties.

My daughter and I came in this week 7 years after I first came in in 2018 when I moved down here and I have to say the pizza has definitely gone down hill. The service and atmosphere are both still great but the food quality is not what it was 7 years ago. I ordered a half Margherita, Half salami and Burrata and the crust was soft, the cheese and sauce didn't taste very good. I hope things improve moving forward! Here are some pics below.
