8 course tasting menu - burrata
Upgraded to A5 Wagyu for $80. The price is not my issue. The meat was not as tender as other Japan Wagyu I've had. This one is just average.

Fantastic Chef's counter experience! Seeing all the chefs preparing the food added a whole new level to the whole experience.Service was impeccable, food was phenomenal, and the whole vibe at the chief's counter was perfect. My favorite dishes for this October menu- A5 Wagyu enhancement.- The gnocchi.- The Burrata.Everything else was delicious, but those stole the show for me!

We came here for my husband's birthday and I was 7 months pregnant at the time. They were very accommodating and made updates to the dishes for me. The food was delicious and it was great that we could see everything prepared in the open kitchen. The overall ambiance was nice. We did almost have issues finding the restaurant. The service was as expected of a michelin star restaurant. However, my only issue was that when we received the check... our server told us his tip was not included in the 20% that they were already charging us. There are multiple fees that are charged at these type of restaurants that make me feel like they are no longer worth the price for what we get. This is not a restaurant i would revisit, definitely a one and done for us.

Had an okay meal. Wasn't too crowded on a Saturday night which was perfect bc it wasn't loud like most dc places and the service was mostly okay (they were a bit stingy with offering fresh clean plates). Can't remember how many courses we had, they were okay, but the truffle option was a huge disappointment. Another friend also opted for truffles and said same. With two drinks and the tasting menu with truffle option, my check came to just over $500. Dinner was okay but not worth that and I probably won't be back soon.

We came to Masseria for our wedding anniversary and honestly it was just okay for the price. I will say up front, our total bill came out to over $700. The service is what you would expect from a Michelin restaurant. It's fantastic. The food is great, but not $700 mind-blowing great. Our favorites: the focaccia starter and the pasta dish! The gremolata was also refreshing and delicious. The wine list is expansive and impressive, but the waiter did try to upsell us at every turn, which was very annoying. The flatware and glassware are very beautiful and the restaurant itself is visually appealing, but we will likely not be back.

The highs were high, and the lows were meh, as in forgettable. Our server was so informative, kind, and attentive. The service, as in the pacing of the dishes and long wait times dampened our dining experience. For starters, getting water at the start of our dining experience was a challenge, took 15 minutes. Was it worth the $1000 we spent on our anniversary din? Sadly, no.What stands out? Truly, what stands out the most is their delicious and fluffy focaccia, topped with veggies, and dipped in tomato sauce. Tastes like pizza!

While the food here was good, I think the price was overall not worth it. The bread course was definitely my favorite and the items were creative. The service was also impeccable and attentive, and it was fun to sit at the counter and watch the chefs work their magic. But with other solid Italian options in the area, I'm not sure I would revisit.

A great Michelin Star restaurant experience that dabbles with seafood. From the initial greeting to departure the service was impeccable. I enjoyed seeing the variety of personnel introducing and explaining the dishes. Being able to watch the chefs prepare the dishes was also a fantastic experience so I highly recommend this option! The low lighting, great music, and their collection of interesting plate ware supplemented the food and the whole experience. Everything tasted great and I felt INCREDIBLY full by the end of the whole course. Highly recommend!

I stopped by here last night for dinner and drinks at the bar and enjoyed it very much. The bar service was great and I enjoyed the Linguine. The price point is definitely high for what you get but I'm glad I knocked it off my list. The ambiance is very nice and the staff are very professional. This is a great date spot or just a spot come in for a drink and/or dinner solo.

Paid $102 for a reservation. The restaurant called and canceled on us less than 24 hours before hand. Said they were closed. No further explanation. They were not apologetic. No effort to engage us as customers - just cancelled.

To say this spot has jumped shark would be an understatement. Service was awful for a place that claims to be of a certain caliber. Starter and dessert were fine, but actual food courses were at best sub par and all left unfinished. Would not come back at any price but given what it costs, probably the biggest shakedown in DC.
