Came in for dinner with my family because my dad was missing Belgium. Loved the fountain/sculpture of the mannequin pis outside! The interiors seem authentic to a restaurant in Belgium, though none of the employees spoke Dutch lol. I've been here multiple times and have had the mussels, salmon and steak. Truthfully, I was unimpressed with my food. It tasted like any ordinary American spot that would have these options. Nothing really stood out to me about these items. The only item that impressed me was their chocolate mousse in the dessert section - rich & not too sweet.I like that they have occasional menu specials based on holidays and celebrations. I will mention that their service staff are very thoughtful. I made a reservation indicating that we were celebrating a birthday, and for dessert we ordered ice cream and (without us even asking) the staff came out and sang happy birthday to my dad. They added a mannequin pis candle which was such a fun addition!

Mannequin is a unique Belgium Restuarant. 3 of us ate here recently and really enjoyed it. Notable items were the potatoe leak soup, a kilo of province mussels, and the steak frites. All very good. The stew (highly discussed on other reviews) I found to have a great flavor; but the meat was not very tender and it contains no vegetables. Great selection of Belgium's beers and good wines. Our service was good. The Restuarant ambiance is like eating in an old WWII bar in Belgium. Nice place. We will be back to try some other dishes.

I realize I've been coming here for so many years but haven't reviewed it. This is my nearby date night go-to. My husband loves it too. The appetizers are great, and he always gets the lamb. I've been trying various entrees and haven't been disappointed, though the lamb is definitely up there. I also enjoy their beer variety, and pleasant servers.

What a cute charming little bistro! Came here for a birthday dinner with my mom recently and we had a lovely time. They seem to have a good selection of various Belgian beers, which isn't a style I know very well but we both enjoyed our selection. We shared a sausage appetizer, a big pot of mussels with a delicious, garlicky, herbal, creamy broth, bread to dip of course, and delicious fries. The cafe was rather intimate and it was easy to talk to each other. I was worried it might be too dark inside but it was not at all. Looking forward to going back soon.

The food is consistently good. the atmosphere is nice and quiet and the service is very good. We ordered the mushrooms rag out and the potato leek soup. The soup was amazing. I would pass on the mushrooms Next time. the mussels called the snob with lobster bisque was amazing, as well as the Provancale mussels. The crème brûlée was so decadent the flavor and taste with the crunchy sugar on top was perfect. We will definitely be back.

My parents introduced me to their favorite spot in Olney. Great service and tasty food. Forgot to take a picture of the mussels but we ordered Lavender mussels with white wine and it was delicious!! The bread was a little cold/hard but everything else was great

I finally got to try the Moules Bruxelles, and the mussels were tender and cooked to perfection, and the sauce was suburb and clearly homemade, with shreds of leeks and good quality bacon. The mussels come in a pot, and I recommend scooping out a load of mussels onto your plate, so you can ladle the sauce from the bottom of the pot on top of them. The French bread tasted homemade, too. I ordered a French Chardonnay which was very pleasant. We ordered the Profiteroles for dessert, and they were by far the best I've ever had. The pastry was light, airy, flaky, and likely made in house, and the ice cream and chocolate sauce were tasty, too.The service was attentive and respectful. The food was brought out of the kitchen nice and hot.

My rating = 77 (food 60/75, ambiance 6/10, service 11/15). Mussels/frites, seafood dishes, and a good menu of Belgian beers. Way out in Olney, but worth the trip, especially now that Brasserie Beck is gone :(. We had:1. Lobster bisque 2. Sea bass over stoemp (Flemish mashed potatoes), endives, and shallot lemon sauce 3. Mussels provencale (celery, onion, herbs, tomatoes, peppers, garlic, white wine) 4. Mussels "Snob" (celery, onion, herbs, lobster bisque, garlic, brandy) 5. Mussels "Jamaican" (celery, onion, herbs, coconut cream, curry, beer) 6. Frites 7. Gulden draak beer8. Bread pudding9. Chocolate mousse10. Cassis lambic beer All were good.
