Manna

Ambiance is nice, food service was horrible... we waited an hour for food. When I got my over cooked burger it was cold and hard like a flip flop. I was starving and ate 1/2 but couldn't eat any more if the cold burger....paid $16 for. Not good. Wasted my time that I wanted to spend in the museum and now only have 40 min before it closes.

Manna is a restaurant located in the Museum of the Bible, in Washington, DC. There are only a couple of options in the museum, one of which is a coffee shop/cafe and the other is Manna. The menu is not large, but it does offer a variety of different items, including vegetarian options. You can order food from an electronic kiosk, and grab a number and the food is brought to your table OR you can order at a register. I opted for a chicken gyro, and it was really pretty good. The only downside is no tzatziki sauce! However, it was really quite a meal, a bit larger than I'd usually have for lunch. The staff were pretty nice, and even though it was getting busy, it didn't take too long for the food to come out of the kitchen. So, if you're at the museum, check the menu there, and give it a try. I'd eat there again if I was at the museum.

6th floor of Bible Museum. So you aren't just walking in off the street. But if you are already in the museum, it is actually a pretty good restaurant for being in a museum with a captive audience. We hit them at a busy time. There was some confusion with people standing at a order kiosk and. Or realizing they could also go to the counter. But we quickly saw the issue and circled around and ordered quickly. The pizza my son was good. At least for what you would expect from a museum restaurant. He said it was better than Tombstone. I had the salmon chowder (special). It was quite good. We also split some of their fries on appetizer menu. They were decent quality and enough for both of us. Like most places in DC. The prices seem a little higher than they should be. Our meal with drinks was over $40. Felt like it should have been more like $30-$35. But e wet thing is higher these days.

A brief review...ended up at Manna on a field trip with a heap of kids The chicken and waffles with spicy syrup was the best food I had during our 4 day marathon in DC. Several kids also had the chicken and waffles. All equally impressed. Here's why I didn't give it a 5. There was some confusion whether they ran out of waffles. I was told I could order it because they were out. Before my food came I asked if I could have some of the spicy syrup since they were out of waffles. I was told they had waffles and had never ran out. A few students were also told they were out and had to order something else. They switched my order and I enjoyed my C and W...much to the envy of several students who watched me walk by with my sweet and spicy dish!

The food here was good, but the menu that seems to be featured on a lot of on line reviews is not accurate...the menu with Biblical names for the dishes is the old menu, not the current one. My family and I all got the cheeseburger and fries. The burger was good, the fries were great. After seeing the chicken tenders at other tables I regretted my burger decision...the tenders looked amazing!

So disappointing! The falafels were burnt, the lettuce wilted and the bread stale. The atmosphere is exceptional! I wish the food was up to the same standard.

This place took forever and it was straight ass. People who ordered after us got food 45min before. We all ended up up getting refunds after waiting an hour with no food

Respectfully that place was astronomically ass. I got drunk sobered up and my food still didn't come out. The service told me to stop asking for my food but all I wanted was chicken nuggets. The service was overall poop right out of a but. Tbh idk what ambiance means.

Worst restaurant I have ever been to. My food took an hour and ten minutes to come out. They did not deal well with giving refunds. Customer service was not good. Overall a bad experience and I would not recommend.

Words cannot explain how disappointed I am by this restaurant. I ordered chicken tenders and a sprite, it was $20. The service disgusted me. The food took over 1 hour to get my food. Chicken tenders were dry. Fries were soggy. If I could I would put under 1 stars.
