Manhattan Market

Manhattan Market has served as a staple to this community for decades. Every time I enter the store I am greeted by employees who are all genuine and willing to help. They have a nice variety for a business of their size.

If you live nearby, this is the closest place to grab milk or bread. There are properties valued at 2-3 million dollars nearby so higher prices may not matter to regular customers. The store seemed like an upscale 7-11, minus the slurpees. If you need basic groceries and toiletries, this shop will have what you need. They even have shopping carts, in spite of only having two full aisles.

I love this family owned and run little market. The staff is pleasant. They are happy to order the specific items you need if they can source it. They try to please and are engaged with neighborhood. Considering they can't get the guanity discounts that supermarkets enjoy, their prices are reasonable and the variety of stock is great. It is a jewel in Woodley Park.

I have mixed feelings about this Manhattan Market. While the location is very convenient for me and the morning cashier is very friendly, I'm disappointed that items are marked at a higher price here than elsewhere. More importantly, I started feeling like someone was watching me shop every time I entered the store. Seems like too much of a coincidence that there's always something to restock or a price to check right next to the item I'm looking at. Ultimately, I decided that I'd rather walk a few blocks over to Cleavland Park for a more welcoming shopping experience.

These guys know their constituency .Manhattan Market is a tiny store that only has the items us Woodley Parkers crave and/or need disparately in the worst possible moment. They have a good beer selection (given the size of the store), a plethora of cereal, more kinds pasta than you'd expect, and wide array of teas. That's at least 84% of my diet right there.Of course, you won't find any "good deals" at Manhattan Market, but if you live in the area, I promise it'll either save you from starvation one evening, or be the place where you pick up that *one last ingredient* you forgot to buy at the grocery store.Plus, who wants to trek all the way to Giant to save $1.50?

I've never been so excited to go to manhattan market as I was today!What I found today was a dairy and gluten free paradise!! dairy free ice cream and lactose free cottage cheese and gluten-free everything.They now carry gluten-free bread, crackers, cake mixes and basic flour! I've never had to make so many tough choices! I couldn't pass up the ice cream even though it's seriously freezing out!

Manhattan Market is the place to shop for essential groceries. You can find organic and gluten-free groceries such as bread and crackers. The employees are extremely friendly and inviting with a smile on their faces. They are able to order any groceries for their customers, if it's not at the store. I really enjoy shopping at Manhattan Market.

This place is fantastic. It's efficiently stocked and has all the necessities. It's also staffed by folks who are always gracious and kind. It's expensive, sure, but that's understandable, given where they are.
