Thrilled to see that this neighborhood spot off the DC Wharf has updated its menu! I highly recommend trying the Thai She-Crab Soup--it's gluten-free and lightly flavored, featuring lemongrass, coconut milk, peanut potatoes, and real lump crab (not imitation!). They've also introduced Moroccan-style kebabs, which are on my list for next time. If you're in the mood for something fresh, the Mediterranean Bowl is a great addition to the menu for my next visit. Can't wait for my next visit! And if you're around for Mardi Gras, don't miss their fun atmosphere!

I actually really liked this place and we went here on a whim! This was my first time here and my experience was really great! We sat at the bar and the bar tender gave us a lot of information before we decided what we were going to order for brunch and she told us all of the deals they had as well. She was very attentive and checked on us regularly. We ended up getting their bottomless mimosas and their bottomless brunch deal which was a great choice for three people! We got to pick three appetizers that kept coming out every time we finished and then we picked 3 entrees that kept coming out every time we finished. We got to share and taste everything amongst each other and we were full by the time we left! The mimosas were good as well and she kept them coming for sure! We did not have to keep asking her to fill our cups up because she was paying attention to it and refilled us every time we were done. We went around Christmas time and they have Christmas decor which was really nice as well, they even had Christmas themed drinks and cups as well! I will definitely be going back here as soon as I can!

I went here for a work lunch thingy, It's in the Wharf area of Washington D.C.The food was very good and on point. The customer service was A+ and our waitress was Ms. Sherrie who was absolutely wonderful, upbeat, polite and professional. Please ask for her once you go, and one thing I appreciated is I asked if they had Sweet Tea and Ms. Sherrie said no, but she can make one for me which was very thirst quenching and blended perfectly! Please stop by if you're in the area + the prices are reasonable, and also they have vegan and gluten free options as well!

I've given Makers Union two different tries, with the most recently time a week or two ago. This time the entrees my party and I had were much better than before. We had reservations for Saturday night and were seated quickly. The space is cute and has a sign with a mirror right at the front door which could be good for social media pictures. We ordered the Christmas themed drinks: Santa's forty mule, Grinch who stole makers, and the Merry margarita. All three were hits at our table, like everyone loved it. For appetizers, we got the spinach dip and wings (lemon garlic parm and buffalo) both were really good, but the spinach dip was the best. But definitely a small bowl of dip, wished it was bigger to match the amount of chips. For entrees, we got the fish and chips, steak and broccolini, and the frickin good fried chicken sandwich with the Nashville hot. While I didn't get a good picture of the entrees because we started eating quickly; but the fish and chips was a disappointment, it lacked flavor and was soggy. But the steak and fried chicken entrees were tasty and a hit at the table. No complaints at all so so good. The fries with Parmesan cheese and without were so good too. The Nashville hot added to the chicken sandwich made it so seasoned and good, something important is that it's not the saucy version of the Nashville hot. Instead, it was the oil version of the chicken which the chicken was cooked in, chef's kiss. Lastly, the service: the waitress was so sweet but definitely had a lot of tables to oversee so a few times we were missing a couple of things but with time she got it with no problem.

I dint come to The Wharf often and was actually headed elsewhere. But recalled the menu got Makes Union and changed location spots. Super great spot for Happy Hour. The place is decorated for the holidays! The lighting is great. The atmosphere is wonder. The bartender on staff was Orson. Great person. I tend to have no filter which will be my downfall, but he was a great bartender dealing with my antics. Go see Orson. The food was great! Friends had the Lil B, Makers Wings, and Drop It Like It's Hot from the HH menu. I failed to take pics. But they looked delicious. As I sat at the bar waiting for my friends, Chef Vi with Thompson Hospitality came over to check on me and ensure I was a satisfied customer. We bonded over our recognition of Bryce Resort! (Small world!) I would definitely like to go back and try out their brunch!!

My friends made brunch reservations for my birthday for a party of five. When we arrived, the restaurant was completely empty, we were the only guests. This was on a Sunday at 11 am in August 2024. We asked to be seated under the light-up sign shown in the photo, but they said no because it was reserved. However, they later seated a walk-in couple with a baby in that spot, which made us think there was some miscommunication and they didn't realize we were the reservation. We were not greeted warmly upon arrival, even though we had called ahead to inform them we'd be late and they said it was fine. Considering how slow they were, they could have been more welcoming. Our server, however, was super nice. I wish I had caught his name.We noticed several tables walk in, order one item, and then quickly leave without finishing. This scared us. One of the servers was loudly walking around on a personal phone call, which didn't help the atmosphere.Unfortunately, the food and drinks weren't good at all, and we ended up grabbing a bite elsewhere afterward. Overall, we were disappointed with the service and the entire experience. Two stars for our server being so kind and food coming out quick.

A close friend selected this location of Makers Union for her Bridal shower. It was a great choice! She coordinated the event with Ivan and he and the staff here did not disappoint! They were accomodating and made sure we had all we needed. I was the first to arrive and was able to find a parking spot in the front to unload the car with decorations. I was parked illegally, but the staff kept an eye on the car and even assisted me with unloading the materials. As soon as I got everything out, I moved my car to the parking garage and walked back to the restaurant. If you ever have to do this do not forget anything in your car. It was a trek and it was hot outside. I was able to decorate the tables pretty quickly with the items I was responsible for and they did not mind us not using their napkins. We selected the Family Style Unlimited Brunch. This was the best option! We were able to try so many of the menu items and each item was DELICIOUS! The Deviled Eggs, Brussel Sprouts, Kale Caesar Salad, and Cornflake Crusted French Toast were my faves.Add this place to your list!

This was my first time coming here and it definitely won't be my last. Unlimited and bottomless brunch will always get me! Had a reservation at 1:15 but due to traffic I was due to arrive after the 15 minute grace period. I called and they were so accommodating. The food....sooooo good. Like everything was delicious. The chicken and waffles are HUGE so definitely come hungry. With all of the hustle and bustle, there was little to almost no wait on your food. Our waiter Ethan was lovely. Will be back soon!

So people have shared mixed reviews but I've been here twice. Once for black restaurant week and again yesterday and I feel as though the food is solid. Oysters were good, my friends wanted the chilled eggs but maybes it's only during brunch? I got steak frites and they got the pasta and both of us were pleased. Wanted to check out the happy hour and love their $6 special rail drinks during happy hour so got a little liquored up. Service can be sketch may have to flag down a person here and there but not an issue if your table is near the bar so you can kinda make that eye contact. But I think the food is solid and it's a place you need to add to the queue. Feasible pricing as well. Cute settings

Food was exquisite. More importantly you actually feel like you are getting good value for your money. Living in DC and especially the wharf. This place is legit value for food and expirence. The Bloody Mary is well stocked with bacon and deviled egg. But still $14. The avg price for a basic cocktail anywhere else on the wharf. Service is adequate. Friendly server. And patient and explained the menu well. But ended up forgetting about us/ not checking up on us. We were done eating and waiting on the bill. It took a bit. Not that we were in a hurry. I highly recommend going for brunch. No too crowded decent menu. With bottomless mimosas. Very chill atmosphere And not stuffy.
