Cute Thai spot in Georgetown! Came here on a rainy Tuesday evening and enjoyed their holiday decor and lively atmosphere. My friend and I split the Drunken Noodles medium spicy. It was flavorful, but a bit on the colder side. The vegetables were crisp and fresh. The medium spice was rather wild - I would definitely do spicier the next time I visit. The service was speedy and the server was very accommodating. Great spot when you are craving your Thai favorites!

Visited this restaurant for dinner with my niece who attends Georgetown University. Service was fast and friendly. The restaurant was very busy. The spring rolls were wonderful, crispy and hot and delicious. The pineapple fried rice was yummy with a mixture of shrimp and chicken and, of course, pineapple. The Volcano was a hit with a great flavor accenting tender beef, shrimp, asparagus, spinach, snow peas, and shiitake mushrooms. The pad see eew: wide noodles with tofu and spinach is a favorite Thai dish of mine, so I was disappointed at the lack of flavor. And the noodles were even a tad overcooked. The noodle dish and the messy restroom made me minus a star. Otherwise, the food was very good.

I thought the food here was decent! A friend and I shared Drunken Noodles and Red Curry and it was good. One thing that the restaurant should do is update their hours on Google since it currently says closes at 9:30 whereas Yelp says 9:00pm. There were a few guests right before us and as we were wrapping up our meal, we felt that the waiters were pushing to get us out which I kind of found to be a little bit rude. I feel that they should have told us directly about the closing time rather than indirectly pushing us out.

Wow, the food looks so good coming out and on the plate but something is missing --- hmmmm, I wonder what that could be? Oh yeah, flavor. I was excited but then disappointed at the lack of authentic flavors. Someone can totally judge me on this but I lived in Bangkok and I'm SEA so for me, maybe not for you, the flavors are dumbed down for the American pallet. I was especially disappointed with the panang curry which was just slices of tough beef in curry and 1 slice of red pepper. Definitely not the kind of panang curry I'm used to and they didn't even ask me what spice level I wanted. The one thing I will give them is that the portion was HUGE, which is not common for Thai restaurants. It was about $4 servings for around $20? So, I'd say, for the amount of food you get for the price, sure, it might be a good deal but I probably wouldn't go back since I can make it better at home. We didn't order the sushi. Is it good? Someone please tell me.

I went to Mai Thai for a friend's celebration. I ordered the mojito and their tom kha gai (coconut mushroom chicken) soup. One thing to note if you're gluten free or celiac, they have very limited gluten free options. To start, we were a large group of 12 people. The waitress started taking drink orders from one side of the table and skipped about four of us, even though we were ready to order. My soup, even though I specified was my entree, came way before everyone's food, so I basically ate alone and then stared at people why they ate their entrees! The drink was really good, and nicely decorated. However, the soup was mediocre, to be honest. It was mostly liquid, few pieces of mushroom (cut in huge chunks, barely cooked) and chicken. I do not recommend ordering the soup at all! When it was time to pay, they do not split checks, so one person had to put down their credit card. I think this place is overrated, and would only return if someone really wants to go.

The decor is dated, the restaurant does not give a "clean" vibe, and the bathroom was gross. IMO, the bathroom says a lot about any establishment. The service staff was a little odd almost like it wasn't the year 2024 nor were they giving professional staff energy. The food: the "spring rolls" were NOT spring rolls. They were skinny egg rolls and the sauce proved it...duck sauce and not fish sauce. Some people may like that cabbage filling, but call it what it really is. The eel and avocado rollers horrendous! Thick, doughy rice with chewy, fatty eel pieces. Miso soup was so salty...why?! The chicken pad see ew was actually tasty and so was the chicken stir fry. I can see ordering to go items if you're a local , but would not go for a sit down meal again.

Staff are friendly. When we came in Tuesday afternoon it was not busy. Maybe two other tables but it was nice and calm inside. The curry puffs had a strong curry flavor. I've only tried this at one other place (Sisters thai) so I had high expectations but they were just alright. It gets served with sweet chili sauce. I'll give it a 3/5 stars. The Red curry with chicken was super flavorful and hit the spot. I asked for it to be the hottest and it did not have any spicy or kick to it. Even as medium which is how I think it normally is served. The basil duck was not what we had tried the past. I think we were expecting maybe a side of the duck to be crispy? Not sure, but the overall taste of the duck was too gamy and did not go well with the sauce it was in. However the veggies they used were fresh! We were going to pack it up to bring home and let someone else eat it but the waitress was kind enough to take it off our bill. Heard good reviews from other sources so we came because we were in the area. The curry was good so I would recommend trying their pangang curry or green curry!

We came for dinner before happy hour ended at 6 pm. It was not crowded, we were the only customers in the dining room at 5:40 on a Thursday. We tried 3 appetizers for $4 each - fried calamari, curry puffs, and Thai chicken wings. The first 2 appetizers were good, but the wings were hard and overcooked (not recommended). We also ordered 2 entrees - pad see eew with beef and ginger stir fry with chicken. Both were large portions that were shared by 3 people. The ginger stir fry had mixed vegetables that were not specified on the menu and taste was bitter. But the pad see eew was very good in which the beef and Chinese broccoli were tender. Our server was attentive and filled our glasses of water several times during a hot summer day. The restaurant is nicely decorated and played American pop music sung by unknown artists in a jazzy tune. The best time to come for dinner would be before 6 pm so take advantage of the happy hour appetizers!

Went to the Georgetown one today, terrible food. Chicken satay was hard, beef salad had way too much salt. Thumbs down.
