Mae's Market and Cafe

One of the dmvs best new cafe/eatery if i say so myself!I have searched high and low for a place that serves a good avocado toast on a sourdough slice and this place is it! I got my toast and i ed vanilla latte and omg it was amazing! The slice was huge and filled with avocado and flavor! The coffee had amazing notes and taste and went great with the food. They also offer baked goods and snacks! A solid 4.7!

Cute cafe spot but no much seating inside. Look forward to come back when it's warmer to enjoy the outside seating. Easy walk from Crystal city metro stop. For a mocha with extra espresso shot and oat milk, an iced Americano and a baked item, the total came to around $20. Not too bad in the area.

Such a beautiful cafe. Service is top notch and the offerings are pretty amazing as well. I have to say that the coffee was really good but I had the best avocado toast of my life here. I mean life-changing good. The bread is thick (no skinny slices here), crispy on the corners and soft on the middle. The avocado layer has crème fraiche and some lemony magic, sprinkled with herbs and tons of pistachios. When you get that first bite in your mouth, you question every single avocado toast you have had in your life. I was so smitten by that one thing on the menu that it was a repeat for me for the duration of my stay in Arlington.

I went to Mae's Market for a quick coffee. The vibe was nice and cute, they have a coffee spot/market vibe going on with small little stationary supplies as well.

Really cute place with pretty floral decor, tasty food, and good coffee! I got the breakfast sandwich and added the lemony avocado, along with a cold brew for $20. The sandwich was served on a beautiful, flaky croissant and was 1 of the better breakfast sandwiches I've had in the city! The avocado was a nice addition and I'd definitely get it again. The coffee was pretty good - nothing crazy but got the job done. The seating was cute as well, sort of French bistro style chairs with an option to sit outside too. However, I can imagine it'd be hard to get a table here on a busy weekend morning as there isn't much seating overall. I'd definitely return here!

This place is so cute and has great potential. I stopped in for dinner at 5:30 and was told I could only order something to go, even though their hours say they are open until 7. So I ordered the ham and butter sandwich. They were out of baguettes, so I had it on sliced bread. The market has some kids toys/books, earrings, journals, etc - it would be great for a last minute gift. I am super picky about my deli meat and like it really lean, and the ham had some fat edges that I removed before eating. It was pretty tasty. I think this place is fairly new and might still be working out some kinks. I'll probably give it another try in the summer.

This place was near the hotel I was staying at for a work trip. I loved the front entrance and it was what attracted me to go there. The place is fast casual where you order at the counter and they bring their food to you. I ordered the chicken Caesar wrap and a cappuccino. My colleague got the chicken salad sandwich.This was a quick stop in between work events and it hit the spot. The wrap had great flavor - not overly dressed and the perfect amount of crunch from the lettuce and crushed croutons. I was full but not stuffed. The cappuccino was a great pick-me-up and was smooth. There is not a lot of seating inside but a good amount outside and the weather was perfect for it.

Super cute vibes - it's got the Instagrammable floral doors, bright colors, baked goods and cute selection of unique gifts to buy. The sandwiches and coffee are pricey though, and taste average. I tried the bulgolgi sandwich, avocado toast (added bacon, nice combo. Best thing so far, but very simple) and white fish sandwich. The latter is quite fishy with an overload of mayo. I've had better smoked white fish sandwiches from the grocery store. The bulgolgi was tasty but had a lot of overflowing sauce - on the heavier side. My coffee was OK. Their cappuccino is more of a regular latte and very milky instead of foamy. Not sure if they can differentiate. Not terrible. But everything was just fine. It left me wanting more, though, for how cute the place is. I do appreciate more elevated fast casual spots in the area. You can sit here and get some work done or sip a hot drink slowly. They also have outdoor patio seating for the warmer months. Order from the counter, and get a table number from their barista. They are pretty fast service-wise.

Very nice place, beautiful space inside. Everyone that worked there was so kind and friendly. They have a wonderful chai latte, perfectly spiced to keep you warm. Delicious! I also had their Aimee salad, which was maybe the only salad I've ever had that was half protein. Lovely! Overall, a very nice cafe to grab a quick bite and drink from.

Nice space with a couple tables around and window seating as well. There's free WiFi and outlets by every seat at the window under the counter. I ordered an iced vanilla latte which was pretty good, and my friend got the vanilla latte as well and one of their sandwiches. They have a good size menu of food items which is nice. It's a good space to do some work, but a little difficult to take calls with the music playing.
