A lot of great food choices and best such a wide variety. Prices are fair, food full of flavor.

Absolutely fantastic, some of the most authentic and delicious New York style Jewish food. I come here every month with Father and he never stops complimenting the Apple Strudel*Owners are really nice, they're a little tough on the outside but give them a little trust and respect and you'll find they're some of the nicest people in DC.Can't forget about the ambiance, this place is cozy and relatively quiet. I've taken dates and family here for a tasty bite of New York's finest

I love Loeb's food! From the breakfast sandwich to the chicken cheesesteak, everything I have tried has hit the spot. It's a great NY Deli in DC! The service is part of the charm and the food comes out pretty quickly. Great for an affordable quick bite!

The food is delicious! But you have to keep in mind that this place works fast, I had read some previous reviews that the staff is rude, so keeping that in mind I went to get a Reuben. I didn't try to strike conversation or anything, I placed my order and I wasn't disappointed; everything about it was just on point and delicious. So much so I went the next day to order several items to go; this time I found the lady from the register restocking bags of chips and other items, she asked me what I was going to order so I started placing my order while she worked (not even looking at me) and eventually she went back behind the register and placed my order to the kitchen remembering everything I had asked for. She's not gonna greet you with a smile, but keep in mind they are busy and make some of the best pastrami you'll find in the area. They are not rude, but can't afford time to make small talk; in my book that's never an issue as long as the food is good

I see a lot of complaints about the service, and dinging them for it. The people aren't rude, it's just a New York deli. Take all the time you want, just don't get in the way. Don't get to the register and then start looking at the menu, with ten people behind you. This is a give-money-get-sandwich place and that's it. I'm not a connoisseur of corned beef, but the next time I want it, this is where I'll go for it.

Wow, brings me right back to New York! (Not the food, the counter woman's attitude...)Came in for breakfast and were subject to a female employees horrible attitude. My friend asked if she could get a specific cheese on her breakfast sandwich and was yelled at... "No!" Yelled the employee, we were so taken back! Then we asked for salt pepper ketchup, and again she snapped at us saying "No, I'll put it in the bag!". If I wasn't soo hungry I would have walked out! To top it off, 1 bacon egg cheese on a roll, and one sausage egg and cheese on a bagle came to $16.96!!! Are you joking? Over priced with a side of poor attitude. No thank you! I'd pass on this deli! You have been warned.

My one star review is about the service and not the food. I have been there numerous times because my husband likes their sandwiches and asks me to bring some home whenever I visit my dentist whose office is located in the same building. But today is the last time I will set foot in there. I have enough about the female cashier's rude and disgusting attitude. I have never witnessed anyone shouting so loud and nasty in my life. You can clearly tell that the employee that she was shouting at has mental disability. That was the last straw on the camel's back. I had witnessed another staff with mental disability getting yelled at by her when I was previously there, never mind that she had never been pleasant to me (not sure if it's because she has an issue with Asian women). Never once did she say thank you after I paid although customers after me got a thank you (without a smile, of course). She never gives me my receipts so even if I wanted to tip the cook staff on my credit card bill (which I do to compensate what they endure daily), I couldn't. It's a shame that they have such a nasty and obviously unhappy person manning the cashier. I don't need negativity in my life. Bye.

A good NYC deli. The staff is not rude, just in business mode trying to move the line along. I had the chicken salad on rye California style with a side of chili ... it was a cold day. I'll come back again.

I have been going to Loeb's NY Deli for the good food, wonderful service and old-fashioned deli ambiance that makes me think of NYC delis. Loebs (located at 1712 I (Eye) Street NW) has been serving the Washington DC community for 65 years. I highly recommend them
