Locals Tacos and Tequila

Short rib nachos were great! Good service, very welcoming. Very nice Christmas decorations. Everyone loved their food!!!

Came with my family to try this place out. My wife and I ordered margaritas each, they never brought them out to us. Ordered lemonade for our son, never came out. The kids ground beef tacos were too spicy for my kids. At first bite it isn't bad but as you chew the spices intensify. We ordered corn dog for my toddler and the meal was cold. My wife ordered the chicken enchiladas and the rice was hard and crunchy as though it was sitting out for a long time. I was upset because the weather is perfect today. They had the wall open. The ambience is awesome here. Great decor, no dinner rush, music was perfect. I was hoping we were going to discover a new local favorite. I was really looking forward to those margaritas; coco and sangarita. Wasn't meant to be today I guess.Disappointed Dad.Robecks Juice bar next door for the rescue with outside patio seating available too.

Locals Tacos and Tequila is still fairly new to West Springfield. There are things I do admire about this restaurant. The person in charge of lighting and decorating, job well done as you made this feel authentic. It certainly looks like a happening spot, but there are areas it can improve upon. The service here is either great, or your server is somewhere else. Most times it's the first, as the folks have been kind and professional. It is extremely clean which is a huge attribute. Parking is also plentiful.My main issue is the food. Definitely enjoy their margaritas or beers responsibly please. Having been to Central America and elsewhere, this isn't going to win authenticity awards. For the price I find the tacos, burritos, and enchiladas pedestrian by comparison. Am a white guy, but grew up with cooking from the regions mentioned, so might be more severe than most. The prices aren't horrible, and the presentation of the meals is attractive, but portions are small. Am going to try it one more time, as their outdoor seating is quite pleasant.

We were visiting the area this past weekend. This place has a great presence on social media. They post lots of great food and drink photos. It was enough to entice us for a quick lunch.For starters we chose the Trio Dip. It includes queso, salsa and guac. The chips are fresh and they do provide a nice big portion($12). I ordered 2 tacos that were filled with lots of protein. Service was super quick since we were the only people in the restaurant. Staff was very attentive. We do like the decor and the tvs in the bar area.

Came here for the first time. The layout is really nice. They have outdoor seating and the front window opens up to the restaurant which is pretty cool. The staff is very friendly. It was a weekday around 6pm so it was not so busy. Food came out fairly quick. We ordered the queso dip and about 5 tacos. The queso fondido was not bad. I would give it a 6/10. The tacos in my opinion were not that great. Tacos were kinda cold. But I must say the presentation was nice. Prices are somewhat high per taco if you ask me. About $6+ per taco.

Always amazing service and food!!! The bartender was super sweet and made time to make suggestions (even while running around like crazy)!

Service was great! Greeted and seated where we wanted upon arrival, seemed to be maybe manager whom seated us. The food recommended by our waitress was great! She was patient and helpful. We had nachos, margaritas (mango and regular) nachos certainly were enough for two. We even had leftovers and then the tacos we ordered had to take them home but all the food and margaritas were great! I strongly recommend! The atmosphere was like I guess you can say Tex-Mex American style. Loved the decor very happy, bright colors.

I have ordered the California fish taco every time I eat here. Usually take out. But since they added the "locals" to the name they have totally screwed up the order every time. Tilapia Not Mahi Mahi. Some crazy radish slaw and then none of the sauce they describe on the menu. I used to love these. Now with the cheap tilapia and none of the sauce that gave them flavor... this place has declined in quality and service to the point I am not going back. Horrible.

We had the most horrible experience at this restaurant that I have had in a long time. We went Saturday night at 6:30 PM. The dining room was about a quarter full. We were told to sit wherever we wished and we sat at the high top in the middle of the restaurant. My four children and I were excited because this is one of our favorite restaurants to go to when we can. We have there many times over the past few years and I've never had a bad experience until Saturday, October 6.We order our drinks and waited to order our entrées. We were all starving and looking forward to a good meal. The waitress brought the drinks to us, but didn't take her entrée order for another 15 to 20 minutes. We had asked to order. This is where things got bad. Took our food better than 30 minutes to come to our table. The restaurant was not full and it was not busy after 30 minutes. Two of the five entrées arrived. I told the children go ahead and start eating before the food got cold. This is when we realized we didn't have any silverware. Had to ask three people to bring a silverware so we could actually eat. After another 10 to 15 minutes, I asked the waitress when we could get the rest of the food. Five minutes later the food appeared and the server hurried off. It was cold and dry. Nobody came to check in about the food or the service or anything at that point. We were all hungry so we ate what we had. When she finally came back to check on the order and how it was, I told her it was cold and requested refills for the kids drinks. I also ordered a beer at this time. Without seeing a word about the food being cold, she walked away. The kids drinks arrived a few moments later and she quickly rushed off. I never got the beer that I ordered , and no one came to check back about the complaint of the food. At about one and a half hours, I asked for the check and to go boxes so we can go home. Eventually check arrived. I paid the tab.Also, the music that was playing in the restaurant was inappropriate to say the least for a family restaurant. Every song was talking about sex and hooking up. My 10 and 12-year-old children both commented that the music was extremely inappropriate and they were bothered by it. I even said something to our server when we first sat down that we could not even hear her over the music. To say the least, I was extremely disappointed in this experience and will not frequent this restaurant again. We have been there before in the past and enjoyed the food in the atmosphere. This time it was over the top.I did leave a review and a message through their talkback line and have not heard a word from them.

Please if you want good food come to this place our always server dulce she's amazing but Sarah she has always been rude to us I feel she was increíble rude with us
