Really enjoyed brunch at Little Blackbird! The restaurant was so pleasant, beautifully decorated, and quiet enough to have a conversation. Our server (and the other employees) were extremely attentive: each was truly knowledgeable with regard to the menu and wines available. I ordered the grilled halloumi and oysters Rockefeller, both of which were excellent, and we sampled several white wines at our waiter's recommendation. Will definitely be back!

I went last night for dinner and drinks. This place is quite chic and simply lovely. The atmosphere is fantastic--the owner is charming and friendly to chat with. The food and wine were excellent. I appreciate all the suggestions for pairing wine with each item of food. If you haven't been here, I say it is a must!

Have been eyeing Little Blackbird for a few months now and decided to check it out last night. I arrived at the bar around 5:15 on a Friday night - there was one seat towards the other end of the bar taken, and within 20-30 minutes, the bar was full (it has 8 seats). I had a reservation, but prefer bar dining often so I was glad to be able to grab a bar seat. They were kind enough, when I told them my husband was joining me, to lay a menu on the bar area next to me to "hold" the seat for my husband. The bartender, Kyle, took excellent care of us all night. He started me off with a complimentary glass of sparkling and two swee-Tarts - I think one of their "playful pairings" they tout. It was an interesting texture experiment, for sure, although I don't know how often I'll pair my sparkling with candy in the future. :)Wine list - it's a wine bar, and overall, a pretty good list. I would love to see at least one more sparkling that isn't a prosecco, but that's a personal preference. Good overall selection of both reds and whites, otherwise, including some grape varietals I've never heard of, and the ability to order a 3.5 or 6 oz glass - now, that's how a wine bar should do it. Kyle was also great at recommendations and allowing us to try things before committing - another good hallmark of a wine bar. On to the food. It was the end of (extended) Restaurant Week, so I ended up getting the restaurant week menu and my husband ordered two additional dishes for himself (we split my dessert) - which ended up being the perfect amount of food. I enjoyed my burrata, and he really enjoyed his flambe tart. But we both agree that the star of the show was my bronzino. So succulent, and so well-balanced with the white wine sauce, herbs, and tomatoes and olives (the latter of which I gave to my husband). He had the hanger steak, which was cooked to a perfect medium and really enjoyed. We both split the butterscotch pudding for dessert. Overall, a great experience. Now, this is a small restaurant, and many tables don't have a whole lot of space in between them. By the time we left around 7:30pm, it was packed, so definitely ensure you have a reservation or plan ahead and get there early to snag a seat at the bar (first come, first serve, and many patrons were turned away since the bar was pretty much full the entire night). We will definitely return to explore more of the wine list and other items on the menu.

Little Blackbird was on my radar, so I was excited to finally try it. It's so cute and cozy, with a lively atmosphere. It was packed, so service was slow, though our server was friendly. Recommendations are definitely needed and it was busy until right up until we left, which was just before 10. We shared the halloumi, warm olives, some charcuterie, the socca, and the branzino. We loved everything, but the halloumi and branzino were the standouts. Both were incredibly flavorful and I'd order again in a heartbeat. Our wines paired well with our meals. I did not order dessert, but my friend enjoyed her order of single malt butterscotch pudding. I'm always on the lookout for a charming wine bar with delicious food and Little Blackbird is definitely on the top of that list.

Little Blackbird offers a nice selection of elegantly plated and creative dishes. Our first course was duck pate, honeynut squash, croutons and a very delicious charry balsamic. I am not a pate person so it is hard to judge. The dish definitely looked beautiful and I am told it was very tasty. Next came the hearth roasted pear with gouda, pecans and pomegranate seeds. I liked each component separately though it was kind of hard to get everything together at once. The seared scallop was really well prepared and came with the interesting and silky combination of white chocolate and cauliflower puree. We were lucky enough to sample a new creation by the chef which was reminiscent of the flavors of a caramel apple. This all really complimented the duck. Lastly, we enjoyed the butterscotch pudding with real scotch and a very cute little birdy shortbread cookie. The space itself is pretty small but seats a fair number of diners comfortably. The service was very helpful and friendly. There is street parking available all around.

Disappointing. While the decor, ambiance, and service were all excellent, the food missed the mark for me. The dip sampler was just ok-- none of mezze had that fresh home made taste and the veggies were down right sad looking. The burrata was just ok but the accompanying apples just didn't go well with it. My Bronzino was down right bad. I took two bites and it reminded me of tilapia. Very much appreciated them taking it off the bill--another nod to the service. But overall, there are better options for food.

I went here a few weeks ago with a friend and I don't really have anything negative to say but also nothing sticks out as extraordinary. I'm not sure it's some place I will return. It is intimate, cozy and beautifully decorated. You definitely feel like you are somewhere special, which is fun.We did have wine that was recommended by our server and we both enjoyed our glasses. We had four dishes (which was the perfect amount for the two of us): the Hearth Roasted Haloumi, the Squash Gnocchi, the Hearth Roasted Bronzino, and the Little Gem Lettuce Salad.Haloumi is always one of those things I'm scared to make at home and this dish convinced me that I can make it happen at home. My favorite was the Little Gem Lettuce Salad. It was crunch and refreshing.

I finally made it to Little Blackbird while I was cat-sitting for my friend in the neighborhood. I enjoyed tasting a variety of small pour wines from around the world and came away with some new favorites. The surprises continued with the buttery smooth scallops served atop a creamy sauce spiked with white chocolate. This is a classic example of "the whole is greater than the sum of its parts" because the ingredients worked well together to make new flavors. We also ordered the branzino and hangar steak with their recommended pairings. Dessert was butterscotch pudding with real scotch in it, which tempered the sweetness and added complexity to what I've come to know as a cloying dessert. Everything was so good that we booked our next reservation to celebrate a birthday with friends while we were waiting for the check.
