Service is great and the waffle was good! Loved sitting at the counter as it was a good experience. As for the eggs and turkey bacon, didn't care much for it. Easily a 3.5 place if you want something quick with good service.

Not the most clean place I have been to, but our food was very good. Our waiter would walk away if we took too long to order our food, and we even found a waffle on the floor.Nevertheless, we enjoyed our time there, even if the place isn't very sanitary.

Lincoln's Waffle Shop is on a historic block being located across the street from the Ford Theatre where Lincoln was assassinated. So it has that going for it. The Waffle shop is a mixture of (Waffle House) for those from the south or (George Webb's) for those from Wisconsin. The place is older and worn. The service was very good and the food was just rather meh.... When you have the word waffle in your name I was expecting a darn good waffle, but alas it was meh...A typical breakfast place. Reasonably priced but just kind of an average experience.

Very much a no-frills breakfast joint, this place was hoppin' when we came by on a Saturday morning. We were quickly seated and quickly fed, and as a bonus our server was really nice. Coffee was unlimited and hot. I got the "B" special with 2 eggs over medium (that's how I order eggs at certain places, because I actually like them over easy...and that's exactly how they came out!!), plus grits and turkey sausage (they were links and actually pretty good). Though the food is basic, the nostalgia of a classic hometown diner combined with the speed & friendliness of the service make it worth a go!!

Live, laugh, love, Lincoln's Waffles. This is a simple diner with nice/quick service and a fun bit of television history. There is ample seating, but the restaurant itself is a bit older and not 100% clean. I would say this is basically a Waffle House. I enjoyed this simple breakfast, but our main reason to visit was because of its reference from "Parks & Rec."

We picked Lincoln's Waffle Shop based on its location. We love to go out for breakfast. We were flying back home today. The location is right across the street from Ford's Theatre. The menu is very straigh tforward. They do not serve tap water, so you have to buy bottle water. I had in my head it would a thick fluffy waffle. Unfortunately, it was a very thin waffle. I ordered the waffle, eggs, and bacon. My dining partner had the waffle eggs and scrapple. Neither one of us had tried scrapple before. The staff was very friendly. She even answered our questions to the best of her ability about the random photos that were up. This is an old school diner experience. It was quick and easy and we were able to get to our ticket time across the street with time to spare.

If you're looking for a simple, traditional American breakfast in Penn Quarter, this is the place for you. The restaurant seems so out of place in this area - most of the fare is upscale or fusion or some other variation, which isn't a bad thing, of course. But sometimes I don't want a fancy croissant or a breakfast burrito, I just want want a bowl of grits.Walking through the front door, you feel like you've been transported back in time by about 40-50 years, because it doesn't look like the interior has been updated since then. On day and time that I visited it wasn't terribly busy, but on other days I passed by it was bustling. It's clear that this place is popular with locals and tourists alike. The breakfast menu is detailed, not because there are a lot of food choices but because they pretty much lay out all the possible permutations. I opted for the eggs, grits, and sausage combo, though in retrospect I kinda wish I had gone for the scrapple instead. Anyways, the food came out quickly and I enjoyed a leisurely meal. One annoyance, however, is that they don't serve tap water. If you want to drink water, you have to buy a bottle. Other than that, prices are good - certainly a lot cheaper than what I would have paid for a similar meal at my hotel. Overall it was a very good experience, and I can imagine Abraham Lincoln having a meal here before heading across the street to the theatre. I do wonder how history might have changed had he chosen to go to the Hard Rock Cafe next door instead of taking in a show at Ford's Theatre.

If you want a low key hole in the wall for breakfast this place is it. We got there around 10 a.m. and had to wait about 10 min which isn't bad. The place isn't fancy so don't expect that. The food came out fast and was very good. I'm sure I'll back again when I'm back in town.

The absolute quintessential greasy spoon diner, that will absolutely have what you want!Walking here and you might as well be walking into the diner that's downtown in the smallest town you know. The food is delicious, it comes out fast and the guys working here are super friendly. It's refreshing to go to a spot For the atmosphere is super relaxed and you can have a conversation with the folks next to you at the counter. It's amazing who you meet in a sort of place like this. It's also a great spot to pop into you're waiting in line across the street at Ford's theater and needquick, pick me up!Go here if you have a chance!
