The food here is great. Very large portions, and of course complimentary chips and salsa. Multiple flavors of frozen margaritas as well as on the rocks, beers, and na drinks. There are vegetarian options but not a lot for vegans except salads.Service is excellent. No pressure to rush to order or clear your table. The location is fairly convenient to a number of downtown neighborhoods, but it's also not too hard to find street parking. Inside there are huge windows, and there's also outdoor dining space. You may need to wait for a table on a nice summer evening.

A friend I hadn't spent time with invited me here for dinner because she loves the restaurant. After eating and drinking, I certainly know why now.We were greeted warmly upon our arrival and seated by the window. Well lit and engaging atmosphere. Our waiter was attentive and very knowledgeable about the menu. My friend chose her favorite, the Seafood Enchiladas, and I chose the Combo Fajitas. When they brought the food out, I was first overwhelmed by the portions' size. Then, after taking the first bite, my senses went into overdrive with an explosion of different tastes and seasonings. As I dug into the bottom of one area, I saw fried plantains and potatoes in addition to all the vegetables and meats. Who does that? I'm sorry, guys, there was no way I could eat this in one sitting. So, I probably ate at least one-fourth of a portion and had to box the rest up and take it home. In my defense, I didn't realize how many chips and salsas I ate before the food came out because they were so damn good. Beware of them; in a good way...Before the waiter came with the boxes to inquire (like a great waiter does) whether we wanted to order dessert, we both had to give the side-eye and say, "No, unless they had a wheelbarrel to roll us out of this restaurant."Please check them out for yourself.

This place still has it!!! Hadn't been in some years and everything was still excellent. Great service, food, and drinks. I met up with friends. We started with chips, salsa, and guacamole. Their chips are very light and good. The salsa was excellent. This was all accompanied by a pitcher of their Cadillac Margarita. It was good!! I had Branzini for dinner. The fish was huge and delicious!! They have parking but the lot fills up quickly so plan ahead in the event you have to park in the neighborhood.

Pretty decent tex mex.We stopped by Lauriol Plaza to satisfy an extreme Tex Mex craving, and Lauriol definitely did not disappoint. Actually, I think this might become one of the go-to Tex Mex spots when I'm in DC. First, the service is exceptional, and our waitress was an absolute joy. The restaurant has a HUGE menu, so everyone should be able to find something that they will enjoy. I thought the food was pretty good. While it wasn't mind blowing, my dish definately hit the spot. OMG! The tortilla chips for teh tables was amazing. For the price, I thought the generous compared to other sitdown Tex Mex spots in the area.

Five for the carne asada and tequila selection! Really tender, seasoned, perfect medium and enough sides to fill me up. The price and portion size matches and I really enjoyed it.Service was also excellent! There was a bit of a hiccup with the drinks but I ordered off menu and they got it right in the end! I like the location. Outdoors was nice and indoors is pretty. The mussels were tasty and garlic infused ! I think the bread that came with the ceviche or mussels, can't recall, needed to be softer. Overall good experience!

Long time favorite and very reliable across the board, Lauriol Plaza is a DC staple in Tex-Mex cuisine. I don't think I have ever had a bad experience at Lauriol Plaza. The food is always quick and convenient when you order, and good! The service is always hospitable and the staff is usually very friendly and helpful to guests. Today, we joined them for lunch. It was a quiet and calm atmosphere, which can differ from the late night hours where it's bustling and busy. Overall, 10 out of 10.Brisket Tacos- Fresh Squeezed Lemonade- My partners food -

It was a great referral!Location was accessible with indoor and outdoor seating options. There is upstairs and downstairs seating areas. Service was friendly and ambience was fun. Menu is full of delicious options and the price is very reasonable for the amount of food you get.The chips and salsa provided before your meal is a great appetizer with drinks!Fair is fair come check this place out for some delicious food!

The food here is okay. But it's great for the vibes and drinks. It's large! Tons of seating and windows and it gives you that indoor/outdoor atmosphere. We shared a pitcher of the margarita. Solid! For entrees some of my table mates got steak, chicken tacos, salmon fajitas, tostones, or the taco/enchilada/tamale combo. I got the tortilla soup which came in a big bowl! Delicious! The ingredients were odd. They had a third of a carrot and a huge chunk of zucchini in my soup. And the fajitas also had the same veg and even celery along with the peppers. Interesting touch.I did enjoy the fresh guacamole and the salsa with chips. So good!Service was good. Pretty quick. They kept our glasses filled with the margarita. It's a large restaurant that can accommodate bigger groups. Pretty loud here too. It seems to be popular in the neighborhood. Parallel parking is your best bet. But having a car in DC is a double edged sword.

Lauriol Plaza has been a staple in my life since middle school! Where else can you get fine dining vibes and have a great time unapologetically at the same time? ... Exactly Best chips & salsa in the city hands down!! So good, I always ask for some to go. You really can't go wrong with anything here. The margarita pitcher will get you together every time! Some of my favorites are the shrimp & crab quesadillas, Salmon Relleno (pictured), and lamb fajitas! They're usually only showcased on the daily specials menu but at least one is usually on there every time I visit. This is truly one of my favorite restaurants. The last time, I tried the Branzino and *chefs kiss*!! So flavorful and fresh!!

Dear Yelpies, My foodie partner (my Bestie) always thinks of new places to take me. (What a keeper:) Since I am a cook, I steer clear of places where I know I can KO a menu at home. I'm Latina so I can cook a taco like the street vendors in Mexico but better cause I'm in a clean kitchen in the states. (Picture me with a sombrero, rolling out fresh tortillas.) You get my point.I was actually excited to come as I had heard about this place before. With our top down, music playing, we drove to Adam's Morgan ready to eat!Enough banter, let's get into it! This place is HUGE! They have so much space. Parking for us was easy to find. Right in front, the parking Gods were good to us. On to the food. The menu is expansive. Anything your heart desires is likely on this menu. I had to try the tortilla soup. I might have had two spoon fulls of chicken, maybe one. It was good. The broth was not spicy and was flavorful. There was so many red onions that it took from the soup. Not quite an onion soup, but almost. I had asked for no onion but the waiter said it was already inside the soup. I still ordered it with the warning. Upon receiving the dish it didn't appear that the onions were in fact in the soup already. Definitely looked like they garnished the soup with cilantro and onion. I took most of the raw onion out and I ate my modified version so definitely edible. Wouldn't ever order this again though. Tacos - I pan fry my taco shells the old school way so when I saw my dish and saw Taco Bell shells it made my BIG heart ache. I was hoping for authentic Mexican food. Like another Elite said in a previous review, this isn't authentic. They were okay. Definitely giving Taco Bell Vibes. My Bestie got the Duck and enjoyed it. The drinks were amazing! Chips and salsa, score! Amazing also.Service was good. Overall, it's okay, I wouldn't return for same dishes but would return (if in the area) to try other dishes. This place has been around for years and has sustained so something has to be a winner on the menu. I'm forever grateful to my Bestie for expanding my Yelp reviews and taking me places I've never been. I love him for that, he's truly the best. (Sheds a tear) 3 stars for me. Always,Your Yelp Elite "Nessa" "One cannot think well, love well, sleep well, if one has not dined well. VW"
