By far the best virgin margarita's I've had this lifetime!! Pure yumminess!! The food is on point too!! The carne asada was a little too salty for me but that is a difference in taste so don't knock it until you try it for yourself! The grilled chicken salad is DIVINE! I usually don't order salads from places like this; and I didn't but I am so happy that they got it for me because, this is my "go to" for a salad now!! When I've ordered salads from places like this is the past they usually were swimming in WATER (ok, we get it...you washed the veggies)!!Not here!! Fresh crispy veggies and tasty succulent chicken! I am pleased and I know that you will be too!

This place is a hidden gem. Hidden in between navy yard and eastern market. The food is affordable. The space gives classic vibes. The service is amazing and the drinks will get you nice. The chicken enchiladas were delicious and the rice and beans as well. The red snapper was fried perfectly. It came with a side salad with plenty of avocados and cucumbers for a nice refreshing combo.

Love love loveeeeeee Las Placitas! They have amazing food for an amazing price. They have parking, outdoor seating, indoor seating, and TooGoodToGo bags! I usually order via DoorDash but when I do go the service is always fast and great. The outdoor decor is my favorite during the spring and summer time. But also where else can you get a GREAT portion of carne asada nachos with sour cream, guac, and pico ALL FOR $13.95???? It doesn't get better than that actually.

Strawberry Margarita: I got "on the rocks" with a small amount of frozen on top and it was great. Didn't really taste the alcohol so if that's a requirement for you, you won't like it.Ceviche - more like a raw salad. Not bad but not my favorite Service: meh. I tried to order something and had to wait good amount of time before someone served me. Weird because to go orders were coming out pretty fast.

This is my second visit to this restaurant and again itWas an experience. The staff is so pleasant and welcoming.I ordered the steak, shrimp fajita and it was good. We ordered 3 Don Julio reposada Tequila pitchers and they are very good.We sat outside again, you have to sit outside when going it's a nice experience. The waiter gave us all 2 rounds of tequila shots.I will definitely return again soon!

I find that many restaurants in this area over charge and are a bit ostentatious- las placitas is NOT like this. it promises good mexican and salvadoran food, and it delivers on that promise.I will definitely be back!!

Do the easy things right, and the rest will come. Had this place recommended to me by some friends and ended up in the neighborhood so I had to try it for myself.Menu was so large, I had decision paralysis so I just went with what I heard was good. That ended up being two pork pupusas and a chicken tamale. Which only ended up being about $9 plus the beer I ordered to compensate for the hot summer evening. It was a ton of food for only a few bucks.Salsa was decent but not the best I've had in DC. Pupusas were savory and fresh. Tamale was sneaky good and super filling.Doesn't hurt to speak some Spanish here. Mine was really rusty but seemed pretty well received as I can be nervous to use it around town.

Las Placitas is an unassuming hole in the wall that serves excellent food and has excellent service. I came here once years ago, and came once again recently and was blown away. They start you off with complementary chips and salsa. I got the soap de res, which is a veggie and short rib soup which was extremely flavorful. It also comes with tortillas and rice, so it really fills you up. The beef was nice and tasty, the veggies were nice and crispy, and the broth was excellent. You could literally add noodles and turn it into a delicious ramen bowl. I highly recommend this place.

Came here for hour happy. Slightly disappointed with this experience. I ordered a mango margarita which was saturated with artificial syrup. It was not good at all. I also sampled my friend's ceviche which seemed to be more like a shrimp salad? We did have good service and our server was pleasant, but I probably wouldn't venture here again.
