Very friendly and warm sevice! Afte having a delicious lunch, cooked lamb , it was great to enjoy fresh coffee brewed right infront of me.

This place is amazing.the vibe , food ,specially the service are exceptional. Frehiwot takes the more credit.

The phone number listed on Yelp is incorrect. It's for Georgia Ave. location, not the White Oak location. The correct number is 301-244-5157.We ordered: 4*Veggie Combo: can't go wrong with a variety of vegetables. Must order dish for me. 4*Fish Gulash: fish cubes were fried. Mixed with vegetables. 5*Lamb Girgiro: it can be very spicy! Mouth burning spicy. It's nice they put them on the side. Tender, spicy, and tasty. Very good, almost addictive.

I am a little confused about the 2 star review because this place is clearly underrated. We tried almost everything that has meat and we loved it all, especially the "Dereq Tibs". The kitfo and the dulet filet was ok, we didn't like it raw so we had them cook it. The customer service was amazing, the ladies were attentive, explained everything well and suggested great options. And I forgot that they make an amazing latte too, go check them out. Don't let the ratings deter you from giving this place a shot.

Visited Langano Ethiopian restaurant with my mom. We ordered the veggie platter and fish. First, the place is beautifully decorated and arranged. Our server took our food at good timing and we received our food at proper timing. The food was so good! I love Ethiopian food a lot and loved how Langano made it! It wasn't oily or overcooked. It tasted as Ethiopian food should! The place has live music and they play wonderfully. Would come again. This place also has a big bar

Updating to add what other things we tried and really liked. They had the three meat and veggie combo available at Saturday lunch and we had misir wot, gomen and a potato/carrot veggie that was delicious. For meats we had lamb stew (pretty good, not very spicy unless you eat the jalapeño chunks), doro wot, and michat abesh (sp) which is a ground beef curry similar in heat and spice to doro wot, really good. I would eat any of these again. Still want to try the gored tibs though, they were out today. They get a good crowd at lunch, so clearly aren't hurt by the few yelpers who have slammed them. The food is good, service a little relaxed, great vibe - so just don't go if you are in a hurry.

Great atmosphere and food was very good. They have a full bar and dance floor though we weren't there late enough to experience it.

I placed an order for delivery from their site and paid over $80.00 for a delivery because it was multiple foods. The driver picked up the food from the restaurant and never delivered. Mind you we spend a lot of $$ with this establishment over years at both locations and the owner knows who we are. Granted majority of the fault was the driver. We called the restaurant to explain what happened the lady stated to contact the driver "we have nothing to do with this". Then we asked to speak with the owner to assist with the refund my money she refused to get him on the phone. I was so upset I called my credit card company and disputed the charge. We really like to support local businesses but they really don't care about the long term customers that will keep their business going. That was the last time we've ordered food from this restaurant. It's sad cause their food is really good.We've also eaten at the restaurant, yuh walk in and there's crap in the entrance then when you go to the restroom it's filthy. Never again

We enjoyed a wonderful family dinner at Langano (White Oak). The place was beautifully serene, and there was no loud music blaring. Our server, Yordi, was knowledgeable, eager to help, and approachable. The food was terrific. We had the Goden Tibs, Quanta Firfir, and the Kitfo special. Kudos to the owners. Job well done.

The best Restaurant around silver springs I'm still dreaming about my meal at Langano Ethiopian restaurant Each bite was a delight, and the presentation just blew us away. Don't miss out on trying their Girgiro tibs lam or beef "If you're a foodie like me, you'll love this place! The menu has a fantastic selection of dishes, and we loved everything we tried. We only had good comments about the food. I can't wait to come back again!" Ted
