Love this place the most for Malatang! The broth is very flavorful, lots of options for protein, veggies, and noodles. Found myself craving this place on a cold, windy, or rainy day. The workers, I believe they were the owners, super sweet and makes sure I was okay with the weight of the food. It's located within the 99 Ranch Market at the foodcourt.

We came to the 99 Ranch food court for two other vendors and I could not help but to order at this one. If you like malatang (numbing spicy peppers), then I highly recommend this place. The pricing of $17.99 per pound is very reasonable. And the gentlemen in the front and the and lady prepping the food in the back are so friendly and kind. It's DIY malatang with whatever ingredients you want ranging from different meats, vegetables, roots, and noodles. You can also pick soupy or dry. I like mine dry with tofu skin, enoki and shiitake mushrooms, bok choy, lotus roots, glass noodles, and lamb meat. My order came with rice and the most amazing sauce that compliments lamb meat so well. I don't know the name of this sauce but I am sure some of you will know. Highly recommend and maybe I will shop at 99 Ranch more just to come back here.

Tried to come here before and they were closed...on the weekend. I had a craving for dry pot and wanted to check this place out. It's $18/lb which I think is kinda high, but after you fill out your ingredient form, they put it in a bowl and tell you how much it weighs. I guess that's better than being surprised, especially if you piled on a bunch of stuff. I asked for 2 star spice level and I'll probably get 3 next time; it had a good kick, but could use more heat. My order came out to 1.4 lbs and it probably isn't enough for 2 to share unless neither are very hungry. It does come with one container of rice. Flavor was spot one and I enjoyed my meal. They were pretty generous with the meat and had a good variety of ingredients. I'd return again if in the area

This place is inside the 99 Ranch Asian grocery store. We were browsing pork buns next door but when we saw Malatang, we just had to try it. The staff didn't speak English that well but at least he was able to take our order correctly. It strangely gave me a good vibe because I felt like the food would be authentic. I was correct! The Malatang was quite good but it's not the best I've had. For a grocery store restaurant, I'd rate this Malatang 7/10. The base taste is there. I didn't like that I had to pick the ingredients. I didn't know how much of what was enough. I was just checking boxes and we had a language barrier. It turned out I had too many noodles and not a lot of other ingredients. Maybe I'll get it right next time. The wait time was quite reasonable for freshly cooked food! There's a bubble tea place right across the place so you can wash it all down nicely. I'm stopping by again if I'm ever in 99 Ranch.

This may be my new favorite mala place! The employee were super helpful and friendly!!! The lady was very sweet and funny. The bowls are $17.99 per lb which makes it affordable than other places. The level 2 spice level was the perfect level. It had a kick, but not unbearable. You pick the ingredients you want by checking them off the list. I always pick dry over wet.

This Mala establishment is located inside 99 Ranch Market (Old Super H-Mart) in the food court section. It's my first time being here and didn't expect much. First of all the service was A1 owner is super friendly and very helpful at explaining what's what and how spicy the actual levels are. I opted with Mala Xiang Guo (Dry Mala) and boy did it his the spot. It's my second time having it and the first time was a disappointment, but this place knows what they are doing. I got the level 3 and it if you like spicy food this is great. My other two friends got the level 2 and said it was slightly spicier than shin ramen. I would definitely return here when I am in the neighborhood. Definitely worth a try.

Amazing for a grocery store food stall. You select the ingredients and how you want your food cooked (stir fry or soup) and spice level. The guy who works in the front carefully selects the foods while consulting with you as to volume. Their service area looks organized and clean. Everything tastes fresh!

Food is very good but way too expensive for the amount. I didn't get any meat, some tofu and veggies and rice ($2). They weigh your food but it includes the metal bowl.
