The woman was very helpful and friendly! Ordered food and it immediately came in. I got banh beo and banh bot loc while my partner got shaking beef. Banh bot loc: it wasn't very good. The dumplings were not steamed in banana leaf and just had shrimp in it. The shrimp still had tail on. The dumplings were also overly chewy Banh beo: it was decent with the right toppings and flavors. The dishes they used were crusted with older dough though so it made me question whether they wash it or not Shaking beef: the best thing! It was really good! Super flavorful and tender. 100% order it if you go here! It comes with rice, veggies, and a soup We had asked ahead if they take card. When we were eating, it was close to closing time and one of the men came over and handed us the bill and told us to pay and leave even though we weren't done. We initially weren't going to go to this restaurant because of the time but a woman from the restaurant came out of the restaurant when we were talking and encouraged us to come in. If they were going to kick us out right at closing time, I wish they hadn't asked us to come in and didn't accept anymore customers. We asked to split the bill and they denied and said if we did, we have to pay in cash. Overall, the food was mixed and service was a bit two faced. But it is expected at a Vietnamese restaurant.

I am a sucker for any kind of curry with bread and this goat curry with a side of bread is no exception. I could not stop eating. So much flavor and the bread was so soft in the inside and crispy on the outside- perfect for dipping. Food also came out very fast and everything was quick. This is a bit of a drive from DC but it's worth it.

I went here mid morning on a Saturday and it was one of the few restaurants open. Lackluster atmosphere, grumpy staff. The garden rolls were tasty if unexceptional, but the $16 vegetable noodle soup was lukewarm and tasteless and I had to spit out an off tasting mushroom. Avoid this place, there are many delish restaurants in Eden Center.

It was Memorial Day, and Eden Center was packed. Somehow this place managed to get us a table for 5 without any waiting. This was how leadership went. We walked in. A couple were sat just seconds before to a 5 top. The owner was hesitated and called his wife for help. She came to the rescue with a simple but effective solution. She spoke to the couple with a nice smile. The next thing was that they stood up and followed her to a 2 top, yielding the 5 top fos us.We tried some stirfried noodle, duck noodle soup, and the Lacay specialty. They were all delicious.

We usually pass this restaurant and it's not super busy but today we decided to visit to avoid the lines at our usual place. Firstly, it is CASH ONLY. The restaurant as typical wasn't busy when we walk-in in so we were seated promptly. It's pretty clear that they do a lot of take out orders though which explains why there aren't many sit down patrons. The menu is pretty large and it has more Vietnamese entrees (note: there is no pho BUT plenty of other options). I went with my favorite grilled pork platter and their biggest platter came with shrimp and egg cake. I honestly can see why it's their most popular item because it's super flavorful and large portioned for $18! My partner got the beef stew with bread which was heavy on the star anise but the bread was perfectly crispy. We got the wonton small bowl as an app it was just ok. In order to pay, you walk to the back where the register is and let them know which table you sat at. Overall, it actually was a pretty good experience and we didn't expect much. I'd say if you're not looking for pho and want to try something different, this is a good place.

I got some takeout because I am lazy af and it's too hot to put on pants and go out.I ordered the shaking beef - lemme tell you, this is crazy tasty. The beef was tender, the sauce was delicious, I wish I had ordered more rice because there was so much meat and one bowl of rice was definitely not enough. I also got fresh shrimp/pork summer rolls and they were good. The peanut sauce was particularly delicious. The iced coffee was strong as fuck (I had to water it down a little. Ok a lot, but that's coz I'm weak.)When I get less lazy I'm gonna hafta come by for a visit. In short, get your vietnamese food fix at lacay. No regrets!!!

An authentic Vietnamese restaurant with generally decent food but not great. The dinning room was just the basic decor and utensils and condiments on the table. Go here for a meal and not the experience. Service is real mediocre too and they only take cash.

First of all, they only take cash here for payment so be prepared.Second, be ready to see grumpy face when they take your orders. The waitress looked beautiful but her face was so grumpy when she took our orders as if I came there and begged for free food.Other than those 2 items, food here are great. I've been going here every time I visited Eden Center the past 10 years. My favorite is their dry noodles.....

If you're looking for legit Viet at Eden Center, start here. No frills, huge portions, good food, and you'll be left alone. This is an old-school Eden Center staple. Miss me with that little lamb hotpot and kbbq (I do love those things) and meet me at Lacay. Highly recommend the mi and the hu tieu, their specialties. Well-seasoned broth, seafood with a hint of natural sweetness, and a little bit of everything (shrimp, pork, etc). We've never had a disappointing meal here. We have, however, been consistently impressed by food quality and portions. It's clear the restaurant is not trying to cater to the Yelp crowd and I love it for that. This is a place I would bring my parents. It's a down-to-earth restaurant.

Food great. There are flies. Service okay. Worth it.The food is super super good and authentic, but don't expect a spotless experience. The service is funny and inconsistent, but honestly I think this place is great. There was an annoying fly, but the affordable prices and yummy food was worth it.
