Entrée should also have a grand option serving 5-7 people. The food was delicious and my guests were very happy . Thank you for making it special for my husband's birthday. I really appreciate it. Would definitely come more often !!!

This was my first time going here for dinner and I wasn't disappointed. From the time we checked in and was shown our table everyone was great. The section that we were originally scheduled to be seated in at the Penthouse was a little chilly so they quickly got us seated somewhere else. Our waiter Miquel was very attentive and broke the menu down for everyone to understand. The food was delicious from the appetizers to the main course. Everything was seasoned to perfection. The noise level for a Friday night was great. We were able to hold table conversation without screaming. Will definitely go back.

Worst$145 tomahawk steak I had, was tough to chew and not tasty. I had a tomahawk recently at American Prime and that was an excellent steak and La Vié's just not worth it. It was disappointing in a wat that they don't seem to care about its reputation- granted la vie is not known for their steak but if you have it on your menu and at $145 a pop, you better have it, at least, to taste right or cook right. It was as if it wasn't a tomahawk, just a slab of very tough steak and a charred bone next to it to give it appearance of a tomahawk steak. We expected pricey drinks but still, after an almost $400 bill for 3, with no appetizer nor dessert, and at $145, that steak is not worth it! Sides are $17 each and their truffle fries were not good, almost off putting there's an after taste and dried our mouths even despite our drinks and water. It was off!I'm more than disappointed of La Vie! It's a shame!

It was okay. My girlfriend and I came to celebrate Valentine's Day because we wanted to try the igloos, and it was fully booked. Pros- the views are lovely. You get a 100-dollar credit, which helps with your bill. You can relax for two hours, listen to music, eat food, and stay warm. The food was good. I ordered the tiramisu French toast, which I did not like. It just tasted like regular French toast but didn't taste like tiramisu, so if you're expecting it, stay away and order a different dish. My girlfriend ordered the steak and eggs, which were delicious. The drinks are pretty good, too. Cons- The igloo got too hot, and we were under the sun.The service was awful, and there was a 20 percent gratuity charge. The waitress was terrible. She figured she made her money and didn't care about providing a good service. She came only three times twice to take our order and then once to check on us for two hours. When items were requested, such as a steak knife, they were never brought, and it wasn't that busy--I had to wait several minutes for drinks after ordering. Appetizers and entrees were brought out simultaneously even though appetizers had been ordered before. The tables in the igloo were small, so there was little space for our plates and drinks. Not to mention the staff were constantly coming in trying to take our plates, and tried to cut our reservation 10 minutes short. Our waitress gave us the check 15 minutes before our time was up, and our bill was incorrect. They wouldn't have applied it if I hadn't taken a screenshot of the email confirming that an extra $30 was added to my bill because I had to change my reservation. That's very shady. To make matters worse, when I booked the igloo, I was under the impression that brunch was buffet-style because that's the menu they have on their website. Which is what I was interested in --a buffet with the igloo and the view that would be worth the price. But nope, it's an entirely different menu where the portion sizes and prices vary--$ 14 for Spaniktopia, and it's only two. I wanted to return them, but our waitress was nowhere to be found. I can buy a whole bag at Costco for $18, which comes with 48. You're just ripping people off at this point. It's a nice view, and the drinks and food are decent enough, but it's not worth the price, nor is the service awful. If they add the buffet to the igloos, I would be back. Otherwise, plenty of other brunch spots in DC have buffet options with a view. Hen quarter, for example.

I had the pleasure of celebrating Valentine's Day at La Vie, and it was nothing short of amazing. We dined in the penthouse section, which was beautifully decorated with themed igloos, each representing a different seasons--from cherry blossoms to St. Patrick's Day and Fall. The ambiance was both elegant and creative, making for a truly unique experience. The staff was exceptionally friendly, and our waitress, Maria, provided excellent service. She was very knowledgeable about the brunch menu and helped guide our selections. We started with a few drinks, including bottomless mimosas, which set the perfect tone for our meal. For our entrées, my husband enjoyed the omelet (recette fonduta, asparagus, Perit sala) served with a delicious potato and pepper hash. I opted for the MERGUEZ MUFFIN--a flavorful dish featuring a fried egg, harissa béarnaise, pickled cucumber, amb gravy, and Fresno peppers, paired with potato hash. Every bite was bursting with rich and balanced flavors. The highlight of the meal was the dessert--a chocolate cake encased in cotton candy, which was set aflame to reveal the decadent treat inside. It was as much a spectacle as it was delicious (see video for proof!).Just when we thought we were done, we couldn't resist heading to the bar for an espresso martini to cap off the experience.Overall, La Vie delivered an unforgettable Valentine's Day celebration with impeccable service, a creative setting, and outstanding food. Highly recommend for a special occasion!

If I had to describe this restaurant in one word it would be "overrated". This was my first trying this place as my friends suggested it for galentines day celebration. It was a Saturday night and I was quite excited to give it a go. Upon arrival a doorman lets you into an elevator and the restaurant is on a certain number floor and 3/4 or something like that. Anyway- the walk through is instagram worthy and you can get beautiful pictures.... Sadly that is all it has to offer. We were only seated once the entire party was present and was not offered to buy drinks at the bar or anything like that. You just stand in a waiting area feeling awkward as waiters with ear pieces looking super important walk past you. I thought " am I in a movie?" Anyway, after I realized there is no James Bond in the house we were seated. They have a wide variety of over priced drinks and because I don't drink alcohol I opted for a non alcoholic beverage but I swear for that price they should just give you the alcohol for free. Must be because of the high price on strawberries. Our waiter was very matter of fact and honestly treated us like he would rather be at home watching Netflix than serving us. Anyway I opted for burger ( no bacon) and we ordered a few sharing items like the hummus and the kofta. The food came out pretty quickly and while we were still chewing the appetizers they came out with the mains and practically took our food away. The burger - it was ok. Nothing to write home about. I am not sure what the other ladies ordered but I can tell you this much - not one of them finished their meal and not one of them wanted to take leftovers.... Hmmm. I asked the waiter if they served decaf coffee and he said no to me very aggressively like I insulted him. I was just so taken back I just said um yeah ok fine thank you bye. I won't even talk about dessert because it was really bleh too. The bill came as soon as we started eating dessert and let me just tell everyone- they charge an auto 20 percent tip. So don't add another tip. We almost got duped- although if I could ask that very rude waiter to rather pay me to endure his service it would be more than 20 percent. I will never be back to this place. Such a disapointment. .

I recently celebrated my birthday at La Vie and rented one of their igloos for about $240. I was disappointed that the party in front of us was running over, which resulted in my party having to wait almost an hour after my reservation to be seated. It seems as though they need to allot more time in between reservations so they don't overlap. I am, however, appreciative of the effort they put in to try to remedy the situation. Overall, the igloo was beautiful! I loved the ambiance and the speaker was a nice touch. However, connecting to the speaker was frustrating as the names were all the same and there was no way to indicate which one you were connecting to. As for the food, everything was tasty. I really enjoyed the banana pancakes, but the spanakopita was tiny for the price. I also did not realize the penthouse menu was more limited than the regular brunch menu and as a pescatarian I did not find the options were inclusive enough. My vegan friend opted to eat dairy because the menu was lacking. I also am taking off a star because my potatoes arrived cold. Lastly, I wish Shay was a little quicker with the champagne as we paid for a bottomless experience, but overall she was a friendly server. Overall, enjoyed my experience at La Vie, but there are definitely some things for them to work out!

If you're looking for a stylish brunch spot with stunning views of D.C., this is a great choice! My friends and I celebrated a birthday in the Penthouse Igloo area, which was beautifully decorated with unique themes, cozy heaters, and personal speakers--creating a fun and intimate atmosphere. That said, our experience had some hiccups. We waited nearly an hour past our reservation time before being seated, yet our time limit still began as soon as we sat down. It felt rushed at the end, especially with the next group waiting right outside our igloo--an awkward contrast to how long we had to wait for the party before us to finish. Our server (Shay) was friendly but disappeared for long stretches, so we didn't get to place our food order until almost an hour after being seated. Unfortunately, the speaker system was also a bit frustrating, as all igloos share the same device name, making it difficult to connect, and no one came to assist when it didn't work, although they offered to replace the sp When the food arrived, it was lukewarm, which was disappointing after such a long wait. However, the flavors didn't disappoint--I ordered the Steak and Eggs, which was delicious and came with a hearty potato hash. The crème brûlée was very smooth. The bottomless drinks were a highlight; we definitely got our money's worth by keeping the orders flowing! Overall, this is a fun and aesthetically pleasing spot, perfect for a girls' outing or a unique date experience. However, at around $110+ per person (with gratuity included and some of our deposit applied due to the inconvenience), I'm not sure it fully justifies the price. It would be great to see more dietary-friendly options and a broader selection of their regular brunch menu available in the igloos. Special shoutout to Quan for the kind compliments and great energy--his warmth definitely brightened our experience!

Step into brunch paradise! This gem serves up an endless feast that'll make your taste buds dance. Each small plate is a culinary delight, and the bottomless mimosas ($29) keep the conversation and good vibes flowing. Some of my fave small plates were the roasted duck pie, arancini, steak & eggs, shrimp & grits, truffle fries, and banana pancakes! The lamb at the buffet was also really good! Whether you're catching up with friends or with that special someone, the stunning views set the perfect backdrop. The attentive staff were friendly and helpful, ensuring your glass and plate never stayed empty for long. At $65, the this brunch spread feels like stealing - you get to sample everything from savory and sweet classics, to innovative bites. Pro tip: Come hungry and pace yourself through this marathon of deliciousness.

Riche was the best server I've ever had. She made sure we had the best experience at La Vie from start to finish. I can't wait to come back.
