A long time staple in Dupont Circle. I have been here a few times in the past and it is still good today. We did the 7 course brunch. Everything was fresh and well-presented. Food was fresh and good. Service was quick but the restaurant was not busy at all. The only complaint is the downstairs area on the way to the bathroom. Bad smells from downstairs. This really impacts the ambiance.

Presentable items but not very memorable taste. The wellington was barely warm when it was served. Tastes fine, potatoes were cooked well, but would have preferred a hot meal on a cold rainy day. My friend ordered medium rare and got it basically raw. Affogato was great. Cute place for a date night and located in Connecticut Ave by Dupont Circle. Big glass windows and additional tented seating outside. Nice ambiance, no-fuss service.Just wish the food was better.

We grabbed a late lunch today and had a lovely meal! Quick service, nice staff, and a quaint little spot. I see a lot of people complaining about prices, but to methey are pretty on par for the areaand the quality. Our lunch portion was plentiful and we left full and happy! My husband got the Spicy Calabrese with caserecce and I did the Ravioli. The flavors were explosive and full of levels. The brown butter sauce spectacular. They served our bread, which was the right amount for our party of 3 and then some. I highly recommend having a meal here!

Fantastic place and service by the staff. Ordered the calmaro di umno and it very delicious with tender calamari pieces in rich tomato sauce. Next we also ordered cream balls but those weren't the bestFinally we went ahead with the staffs recommendation - Calabrese with spaghetti pasta and again, the sauce was really tasty and rich in taste. Perfectly balanced in spice and cooked wellMust try - although may not be easy on pocket

We're visiting DC for the week and staying around the corner. So many great dining options and I'm not surprised this restaurant has been a neighborhood establishment for so many years! What a fantastic meal!Perfect outdoor atmosphere, service was great and our meal was truly terrific. Started with their house bread and Caesar salad. Fresh, flavorful and made with quality ingredients. Hubby loved his cavatelli, ricotta & broccoli pasta while I obsessed over my rigatoni bolognese. This dish is the reason I wanted to dine here and it did not disappoint. Don't sleep on this one!

I enjoyed my experience here! We were looking for an Italian place in the area and went with this one because of ambiance. I do think that they do better with pasta dishes. My partner got a meat dish and he said his food was cold & not that great. The dessert was good though! We had the affogato & espresso was nice & smooth.

This lil place is excellent! It has a full surround windowed section overlooking Connecticut avenue and it is peaceful and quaint inside. There are lots of options on the menu! Our server checked on us every 6 minutes and had a great recommendations about the menu. The minestrone soup of the day was delicious, just wish there was a little more! My crab spaghetti was scrumptious! The tiramisu is probably one of the best I've ever had. My group and I really enjoyed eating here and will definitely be back! Great Italian on Connecticut. I think my total with 3 parts of a meal and tip was about $70, so just plan to make this a fancy outing for yourself. Definitely worth it.

I moved near this restaurant shortly after college. I would always walk by and peer inside and notice that it seemed as if the diners were having a great time. A number of years later I decided to take the person that I was dating to this restaurant to impress her... I remember having the squid ink pasta. I returned over the weekend with that same female, who I married almost 28 years ago, along with our 20 year old daughter. The maître d' was incredibly friendly. He was also dressed impeccably, donning a yellow linen jacket that screamed confidence. Our waiter came over and took our drink orders and the appetizers that we requested. We were only doing appetizers and drinks. We ordered the arancini, a cheese plate, and the mozzarella salad. I ordered a glass of the house Cabernet. The food was great and the service even better. We opted for dessert. The chocolate salame' and some ice cream dish that allows you to pour hot espresso over it. I personally ordered a cup of espresso with Sambuca on the side. Everything was so delicious...We did not order dinner, as we had a long drive but we ended up sitting there for the better part of an hour enjoying the appetizers and dessert... And the view of all of the DC residents that strolled by. On the way out I spoke with Natalina, who has run the restaurant for more than three decades. We talked about how the restaurant had been a big part of the start of our relationship and how much it meant to us. She was incredibly warm and shared stories about when her husband was there running it with her. I am glad that Covid did not steal this gem from us. I am glad that we got to take our daughter there and I am thrilled that the food and service are still better than ever. Three apps, two wines, two desserts and two espressos and one Sambuca - 140 including tip. Well worth the trip. I advise u to try this one!

Roger was a great server. There was a communication issue between the server and the drink guy. The drink guy went off on Roger and speaking to him in Spanish. The lobster pasta was good, but my dessert was spoiled. I have had Tiramisu many times. But this one was sticky and sour tasting.

The homemade pasta is excellent. I had a fix price menu with salad, fettuccine Bolognese and a glass of Pino Grigio. This is real Italian food made the old fashioned way. It is wonderful. The restaurant's atmosphere is beautiful and classically unique. My cappuccino was as good as any I've ever had and I've been to Italy a number of times (having always avoided the touristy areas). My Italian friends would have agreed.
