La Colombiana Restaurant & Bar

There are a few times when I write a review and I only do it if the food is good in this case 100% food super delicious made by order and u can tell they put a lot of love on making the food, now the service amazing super friendly I love this place already .

The first time I was there was this summer when Colombia was playing..we were looking for a spot to have Colombian food & cocktails.. it was clean had good music but not enough waiters in the middle of the afternoon.We asked for few fix drinks and didn't have a bartender. The waitress had to go behind the bar to mix the drinks and looked like she was struggling. We did had one drink each & had some appetizers I have to say I was a little disappointed not to mention the price for a drink was crazy expensive on the other hand we order empanadas & a platter of chícharon and it was really good.

Horrible service !!!!!!! Never going back again! Worse arenas ever DO NOT GO THERE!!!! They serve you cheese tortillas!!!! Horrible horrible! I asked for the check and the waitress set was on her phone and completely ignore me! Then I spoke with the manager and she didn't even care!

I like it , we had empanadas they very delicious and the fruit juices are amazing. Very polite and attentive service !

My wife, 10 year old daughter and I stopped by this place after a long trip as my wife wanted to try out their empanadas. Dirty table, rude waitress, horrible food and definitely NOT KID FRIENDLY. Seems all the attention goes to the drunk men getting ripped off. Try something else along that block.

Let's start with the one star is because they actually had good Colombian music. Our waitress was nice, she tried. Opening day- no empanadas. No papas rellenas. No Postobon. For dinner we ordered a Picada because they had no rice or beans left for a Bandeja Paisa. The picada had no arepa, no patacón, the chorizo was not CHORIZO it was sweet Italian sausage, no morcilla and it was $25. The portion was ridiculously small.Sopa de Mondongo: NOT mondongo. No flavor. Had three small pieces of mondongo. Couldn't be served with rice since they didn't have any. It really tasted like a sanconcho overly priced for no reason. Some one seriously forgot to their homework on what Colombian food is and what Colombian food taste like. Too bad...we really wanted to like it. But never again.

From a true bred Colombian... Although the portion sizes are generous (some would say big), the food was average. Among the plates we ordered, the breaded shrimp and chicken cutlet were on the burnt side, while the mondongo had very few pieces of actual mondongo and meat in it. Service was on the slow side, took well over half hour for the food to arrive, and my biggest peeve... It is overpriced, you'll pay Georgetown restaurant prices in Wheaton.
