I came here for some drinks and food. I thought the cocktails were ok, but not great. I liked the esquites, but the sopes and the rice/beans were bland. The chips and salsa also weren't that tasty. The food was kind of lackluster compared to the other Mexican/Tex Mex restaurants in the area. I think they also have music and dancing here, so if you're looking to go dancing you might have had a better experience. But in terms of the food, I was not impressed. However, the service was good.

I had a disappointing experience with the security staff at this establishment. The security personnel seemed distracted, constantly on their phone, and not paying attention to what was happening around them. My friend was asked to leave for no valid reason after we placed our drinks on a reserved table, despite there being no indication that this was an issue. The situation was then exaggerated by security, leading to my friend being escorted out. This unprofessional behavior from the staff left a very negative impression.

I came here for the night life. Boy oh Boy was it a night to remember! We danced the night away.. Letting the dj take us to ecstasy! We did bottle service taking advantage of there bottle service special prices before 12 I believe.. getting multiple bottles. The decor was fascinating.. floors lighting up and strobe lights hitting you from every angle. The setup of the place allow you to be in your own world with your crew you come with.. I will return to try the food out someday. Until next time La Catrina!

There are two levels, downstairs is more for dining and enjoying each others company. Upstairs is all about the music and drinks! The layout is pretty typical and the service is speedy. We were able to secure a hostess and a table for bottle service upon arrival! The DJ played mostly reggaeton and Latin music, with some reggae and Afro beats thrown in. I definitely want to try their food options downstairs next time we are in the area!

I had the fajitas, absolutely f*ckin amazing. Had 2 margaritas and a peach vodka cocktail, both were awesome. My wife got two types of tacos, both tasted amazing. Our bartender was really nice as well. Will definitely be returning in the future. If you don't like this place you're just racist i fear.

Overpriced for the offering. La Catrina was hit and miss.While the food wasn't bad (the salsa was amazing and the enchiladas were prepared well), there were almost no menu items for below the $20 price point for portions that weren't that substantial. Ambiance was good, but mostly revolved around the bar and cocktail area. It sounded like there was an upstairs with more of a bar feel as well.Our server was very attentive, but there might have been some kitchen issues. One of our table members tacos was forgotten and brought out well after dessert.While it is alright, there are cheaper and higher quality Mexican places in the Bethesda area that I would probably visit before returning to La Catrina, unless I am just going out for cocktails.

Visited this place Saturday night the 24th. First of all the new staff is awful and the new girl manager no service skills whatsoever.I had an issue with with our waitress where she came up to me rude about a table when I already had purchased something at the bar. I asked to bring me a bucket to meet her $50 charge minimum requirement for the table she said no, she wouldn't listen. Manager comes out same thing, instead of bing accommodating to her guest instead I was treated like garbage for trying to consume at this establishment. I've been coming here for months and this is the very first time I've experienced this and won't be coming back unless staff and service is otherwise.

If you're thinking of going to this place, beware of the terrible security and customer service. The security staff is unprofessional and will harass you without justification. The food is mediocre and the service can be a hit of miss. There are better places around the area where you'll have a better time.
