First of all i love that they take no reservations. It feels like anyone has a chance and thats tough nowadays with these popular spots.The food was I am so glad me and my girlfriends got a chance to enjoy this immaculate dinner! - Cheese puffs were immaculate! Light, airy and perfect snack pre dinner! The paprika dip was so simple and delicious - We all got burgers and the table was well pleased. I got the truffle burger and it was perfection. The meat blend for all there patties is superior and what made this such a delicious and light burger. I have not had too many burgers that were delicious, light and still feeling. Thats how you know they use great products and this proprietary patty blend is organic!- Fries were light and airy and soooo addictiveThe waitress was so kind and even let us sample the special soup to see if we would like it. It was like we were at the Cheers bar. So kind and courteous but I felt like I was home.Overall it made the too of my list of places to eat in DC. It cozy, welcoming and nothing but good vibes (I'm sure because of their great service)

I don't want to share this restaurant but the word's already out. La Bonne Vache doesn't take reservations, so go early or be ready to wait in line either inside the restaurant or on the sidewalk. What's the draw? It's a sparkling little space with tables jammed together and great wine and the most delicious burgers in DC. A must is the steak au poivre, with blue cheese, mushrooms, and peppercorn sauce. Delicious! The salads are gorgeous and perfectly dressed. Gourgeres are the perfect accompaniment to the wine. And my favorite is the artichoke, sitting in a sauce of capers, parsley, garlic, olive oil, lemon, and Dijon mustard. Service is great despite the crowded rooms and lines. Love this place and hope it never changes. Go early!

I hesitate to review La Bonne Vache because the word is out and it is fantastic. Since they don't take reservations, you often have to wait in line during dinner time. However they do quick takeout and have a great bar with their full menu. I've tried their amazing steak sandwich and very decent veggie burger. The standout is their classic burger. I crave this thing. Also great to get an order of their fries with cheese fondue on top. They have a great French wine list and curated aperitif list. It's truly a neighborhood gem. Service is very friendly and quick. Despite the high demand for a table, I never feel rush. I am often offered a table when I dine alone rather than shuffled to the bar. That is very classy to me.

What a cute corner bistro serving exceptional French fare! Expect to wait (as they don't take reservations) but the line moved fast. The service is warm and the food is amazing. Start with the gourges - which are like savory cream puffs - served with a paprika cream cheese spread. Who knew cream cheese & paprika would taste so good? A small thought to improve this dish - fill the cream puffs with the spread! The burgers were standouts - I enjoyed the au poivre and my friend the truffle Brie. They were full of flavor yet light at the same time. I want to try all the interesting burger combos they have. Only item that didn't wow us were the fries with Gruyère fondue. They were good just nothing spectacular.

La Bonne Vache is a cozy spot with a lot to offer. We tried the cheese puffs and the Steak Au Poivre burger, and both were great choices. The cheese puffs were light, buttery, and perfectly cheesy--a great way to start the meal. The Steak Au Poivre burger was a standout, with rich flavors and just the right amount of peppery kick.The atmosphere was inviting, and the service was friendly, which made the experience even better. Definitely a place worth checking out if you're in DC and looking for something satisfying and well-executed.

Love this place! They don't take reservations but have been here twice during brunch hours on a Saturday and things move quickly. The food is so good here. The burgers I think are some of the best in Dc! Service has been great whether at the bar or seated. Honestly, think this is just a gem for Georgetown and can't wait to come back. Just top to bottom a great experience. Feels like you are transported a bit to Paris with the cafe feel and quaint dining room.

I had been so excited to try La Bonne Vache as I walk by it all the time living in georgetown. I like the no reservation vibe - makes it more of a special occasion. Love the vibe inside, it is decorated perfectly! The staff are so friendly and attentive. however, I was a little disappointed in the food. burgers were pretty mid, sandwich was my favorite.

Everything was kinda mid. Not the worst but also not the best so I don't think I would go out of my way to dine here again. Came in for an early dinner one day and I was really excited to try this place because I always saw a ton of people whenever I walked by it. The place was already packed for an early dinner but had no trouble getting seated immediately at the bar.Food - Got the steak au poivre burger, which is their most popular item and affordably priced, and fries. I didn't like that you had to order fries separately. Fries were crispy and salty. Burger tasted good but was a bit salty and the bun was really disappointing. They didn't even toast it. I see in their online menu now that there's a bring your own bun option but who realistically carries around their own burger bun? Burger is good value but I think I'd rather pay more for a better one when dining at a sit down place or just do takeout at a burger joint.Service - Bartender was nice and made sure I was taken care of even though she looked a bit busy. Hostess was ok. There was a weird moment with a waiter when I was trying to exit through their other door after paying. As I was headed towards the door he quickly walked up to position himself kind of like he was going to address a nearby table (he was not speaking to them though and was a little far technically to be taking their order) and started flipping through his little notepad but was physically blocking the way out which is something odd that I've never seen before, did he think I didn't pay? After waiting for a moment for him to move or at least notice he was standing in my way, which he didn't, I asked him to step aside so I could exit. He promptly did but the entire experience was odd to say the least.Ambiance - Casual French bistro feel and it's larger than it looks from outside. There is outdoor seating as well. The bathroom was tiny "European" sized (ie slightly larger than an airplane WC). I'm a skinny gal and it felt small for me

Came here with my girlie and had another fantastic meal! It's funny I came back for the salmon burger; but they changed the menu! I do love when a restaurant changes it up, keeps things exciting and allows me to try new things. Today I got the croque madame burger and WOAH!!!! Sooo good! My favorite burger to date. Service is always solid here, they are all so sweet and helpful. Feels like a family in there! It's such a cute spot and I will definitely be returning for more.

Wow, easily 5 stars! This is exactly the type of places I love! The atmosphere is excellent, walking in is like on the corner in an adorable neighborhood, casual but also special. It really feels like you stepped into a cafe in France. Now to the food, magnifique! Everything we tried was delicious! Loved all the small plates to share and the shaved ribeye baguette was so tasty! Or server was so sweet and made our drinks wonderful,l neighborhood gem of a restaurant.
