Kushi Sushi offers a delightful blend of authentic Japanese flavors with a modern twist, making it a standout option for sushi lovers. The ambiance is cozy and inviting, with minimalist décor that sets the perfect mood for a relaxing meal. The staff is attentive and knowledgeable, ensuring a smooth dining experience from start to finish. Here's a picture of my favorite rolls lava and seared spicy salmonWhile the prices are on the higher side, the quality and experience make it worthwhile.

New to the area and felt a little hung over this Sunday, I had a craving for soup and sushi. Bless for Kusshi sushi. Came in around 1-1:30 and there were plenty of tables to pick from. The bar areas looked great if you're into watching sports. I did appreciate the "low top" area not having TVs so I could have my husbands undivided attention lol. Upon entering, we got seated right away and the server gave us some tap water. In terms of beer, it was cool to see Kirin Ichiban light! My husband loved it. I was in the mood for a Coke Zero but they only have Diet Coke, it will do lololol. While reviewing the menu, I knew I wanted soup but it was cool to see all the types of noodles and soup options there was. My husband got the tea pot soup and we weren't sure if we could share, so I just let him have it. But honestly, how you eat it - it could have been a great starter for two people. For entrees I decided to get the spicy miso ramen, shit spicy yall. Had the pepper stuck in my throat for a second and my ear holes were burning! Lololol. It was very ramen noodle forward and the bamboo shoots taste definitely take over the broth. I personally might skip them next time. So, ya girl was feeling greedy and decided to get the sashimi sampler - 12 pieces. I decided to eat the sashimi first and I couldn't even finish the ramen. Just at the egg, meat and enjoyed the broth. My husband got the kusshi noodles and loved it! All the meat in this yall. You could even get it spicy! Some people got seated next to us and automatically wanted what my husband got lolol. If you're into wok noodles then you'll love the kusshi noodles. Also, I just want to say I enjoyed the art of Kusshi Sushi. I'll definitely come back here for my sushi and ramen fix.

Went to Kusshi the night before Thanksgiving to check out a new sushi spot my date raved about. It is located in a really nice shopping center behind Pentagon City. The aesthetics were really nice in there. The sushi was pretty good, as well as, the spicy edamame. The only thing I would say needed work was the service. The server took about 10 mins to greet us, never gave his name, and it took us about 15 mins to find him when we were finished and ready to go. The restaurant was not that busy. Besides the service, I can't wait to go back because the food was good and I want to order the Katsu. At all the tables I saw at last one person had it and it looked amazing. Thanks Kusshi for the great food!

Easy to get to from the metro, have a variety of options. Has two basic maki rolls. Came out super quick. They were good, 6 pieces but solid amount. Restaurant was kind of empty, no music, regular lighting. Also got the teriyaki chicken, not what I anticipated but it was fine. Came with white rice, wish they either completely cut the chicken or gave you a knife. Server was a bit rude which I did not appreciate. Probably won't be back.

Nice spot, pretty clean, great sushi. The service is a bit slow though, and a few times I've had wave down the server ti come check on our table, thus in more than one visit. Overall good experience for what you get of food value.

Updated review: Kusshi Sushi is still awesome. Great quality, good service and bar. Tonight, I decided to upgrade the Chirashi Bowl to the "Chef's Special Box" - wow. Ask for Dan!

I'm always a little disappointed when the sushi makers quit taking pride in the art of their craft. I get prices have gone up but aesthetics of your dish is just as important. Our girl was slow on service. We ordered another beer with our meal and she blamed it on the bar tender. Love the location and feel of the restaurant in general as long as you park in the garage anything under an hour is free.

We were very skeptical about this place due to mixed reviews, but we were hungry and tired, so we decided to give it a try.Tempura: It was nicely fried and not too oily. I like varieties of veg and shrimp. The platter was very decent. We adored the Fatty Salmon, as it melted in the mouth. For a special maki, the Lava was our favorite. It was filled with tempura breadcrumbs and a mix of various sashimi. This is a decent Sushi place.

Very noisy (I used an app to measure it, well above 85 decibels). Slow service. Waiter was poker faced. Our seafood tea pot came quickly, along with the soft shell crab (really just two legs). Their menu should say legs only. Tiny portion. But: our main dish dragged on for 30 minutes! They totally forgot about it. We had to walk over to the front desk to chase up, and they said almost ready. The truth clearly, is that they only started when we told them we've been waiting for a long time. Unacceptable. So that main dish itself though was delicious. Hamachi kama, grilled yellowtail jaw. It's substantial (we had this same dish elsewhere, really bony, not much meat). Here it's like a fish steak with jaw. Well done. Just too slow. For context: This was 7:30 pm on a Monday night! Restaurant was empty.
