We were greeted instantly and served by Nataly who was amazing. She was very attentive and even offered us recommendations. Checked up on us to make sure we liked our food and was so sweet. The atmosphere is great for small and larger get togethers. Get the mochi when you come here!!!

Came here with my mom this past weekend, and we loved every bite. The ambiance is charming and laid-back, though the little market at the front takes away from the upscale feel just a bit. The food was fantastic. We ordered sushi, chicken teriyaki, and an appetizer, and everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The service was excellent--our server was attentive and quick, making sure we had everything we needed. It is on the pricier side, but for the quality and experience, it was well worth it. Already looking forward to coming back.

Very upset by my doordash order. The ikura salmon Roe looked beautiful but upon contact with my tongue it was bursts of sour and extremely fishy.The miso Soup container had dish soap on the sides and I still can't get the dish soap taste out of my mouth!!!!The hamachi collarbone was overcooked. The rolls have no consistency with rice:fish ratio.The silver spring location is much better...

Kusshi is well known in the area for how consistent and good they are. and I'm slowly visiting every one. After my other favorite restaurant closed down I needed a pick me up. The service is always fast, good and attentive. My family and I stopped in at noon on a Sunday and were immediately escorted to a table. Our server was Karen and gave us time to order without rushing us. As soon as she saw our menus were set down, she appeared.I had the dragon roll and it was great. All of the flavors were balanced well and would recommend it. The agedashi tofu was a highlight for my vegetarian daughter along with the asparagus roll. To make it vegan/vegetarian, the agedashi tofu couldnt come with a sauce so my suggestion would be to have an alternative sauce, literally ANY vegetarian sauce to go with it and it's fire. The vegan ramen took longer than the sushi but that's to be expected. It was delicious and would recommend for vegetarians. Lots of toppings and lots of noodles.My lone complaint would be the lighting. Very dark for middle of the day. Food was great, service was great, would prefer it to be a bit brighter at the table.

I ordered Kusshi Sushi via Uber Eats, and to say I was disappointed is an understatement.I love shumai and sushi. The reviews seemed favorable, so off I went to order my favorite dishes. I ordered shrimp shumai and the Bethesda Roll.The shrimp shumai was horrid. They were so small. I called them "popables"...just pop them in your mouth and done. They were served steamed with no amount of flavor. I prefer for shrimp shumai to be medium / large with pieces of shrimp you can actually taste. I've had shumai with robust ginger flavors as well. All of what I thought was customary for shrimp shumai was non-existent with Kusshi Sushi's version. Eating it, along with the lack of presentation, left much to be desired. I would never get this dish again.The Bethesda Roll was typical -- tuna, salmon and avocado. There was nothing memorable about it. Just sushi. Although my Kusshi Sushi experience was via Uber Eats, I think all experiences -- regardless if takeout or dine-in -- should leave a good impression. Unfortunately for Kusshi Sushi, I wouldn't try it again.

Thursday 1/2/2025I've never had a real authentic sushi experience so my friend Tyler recommended the firecracker roll from kusshi sushi.I made an online order through uber eats and got the takoyaki $9, Kusshi seared fatty salmon belly (nigiri) $11, pan-fried pork gyoza $11, Kusshi wings $14, and the firecracker roll $17.- the firecracker roll was a first time experience for me and it was alright (I still don't see the sushi hype).- The salmon nigiri was also a new item for me and it was pretty good. It had a sweet & savory type of sauce that really elevated the taste.- Takoyaki (octopus balls) is once again another item I had never tried before and they were a nice surprise. They were topped with flakes and a sweet, savory white sauce & brown sauce that complimented it well.- The kusshi wings were pretty good but could've benefited from the wings being more moist by saucing them a bit more (the sauce was good). Didn't realize until after but $14 for 6 wings is pretty ridiculous. Wings should not be more than $2 per wing.- The pork gyoza (pan-fried) was alright but none special.Overall, the food was pretty decent but also very EXPENSIVE when you consider some of the portions received.

Very nice atmosphere and welcoming service. Non pretentious and pleasant also to go with kids.The shop selling the products is a nice touch. :)Food was great, and the beer too. Miso soup was greatly homogeneous and tasty, pan fried pork gyoza had a great texture in the mouth and was flavorful. Shrimp shumai was soft and tasty, I'd order all of it again. Next time I would really like to find someone e to share the suhi boat with!!! Looks so inviting :)

So I've been here a handful of times now! Most recently was actually back in May but I found another location opened up in Rockville which is nice. My go to was always the red skins roll but their sashimi is also always a good option. Service was really good even when it was busy. Our servers checked in my table with my friends several time for beverage refills and any additional orders we wanted to place. It's a casual restaurant but also a good option for a semi-casual date night (nothing fancy). Recommendation would to have them add something unique to their menu (possibly even seasonal). With all the sushi restaurants in the area it gets challenging to stand out.

Stopped by Kusshi for their 20% 6 year anniversary special. I was greeted and sat right when I came in and service was quick the entire time. they have indoor , outdoor and bar seating. I ordered the Redskins roll which was really good and fresh. They have a parking deck that is free for the first two hours which is very convenient
