It appears Kungfu Kitchen has pivoted to more authentic Chinese recipes. It is still rather expensive, as mentioned in my last review, but it is well worth it.The Pork Soup Dumplings are amazing. We also really liked Yuxiang Eggplant, the Dandan Noodles, the Fried String Beans, and the Scallion Pancake with Beef.

Ordered takeout when I was in town staying with some friends. I wasn't privy to knowing what we ordered but there was a smorgasbord of items. They were all amazing. My takeaway from this is either:1. My friends have really nailed which the best items in n the menu are. Or2. Everything on the menu has gigachad aura. When we walked into pickup the food, our host was immediately available with our to-go boxes. Everything was packed nicely and we received an appropriate amount of napkins, chopsticks, hot sauce etc for 3 people. She was smiling and overall the exchange was positive. Def would recommend.

The soup dumplings here aren't that bad. Service is ok. There are plenty of seating available for large or small groups. They are a bit pricey for the food that's mediocre.

I enjoyed dinner here with my wife and son, and we all agreed it was fantastic. Everything we tried, from the soup dumplings to the Peking duck bun to the scallion pancakes with beef to the Mala beef noodle soup, was flavorful and tender. The cucumber salad was surprisingly spicy in the best way. The portion sizes did not disappoint either. Although they were quite busy, the service was attentive at all times. We will definitely be back and highly recommend to anyone who wants to experience delicious, authentic Chinese cuisine.

My boyfriend and I went to China a few years ago and we have been searching for good Shanghai dumplings/pork buns in the area ever since. I saw they had them in the menu and that's why we came here for dinner on Friday night. It was not busy at all when we were there but they had a steady food pickup. In addition to the dumplings/pork buns we got the chicken soup dumplings and the string beans. Everything overall was pretty tasty. The Shanghai buns came with a serving of 5 - 2 of them were seasoned nicely inside and the other 3 were bland with no spices. Not sure what happened between those batches. The string beans were a bit salty but otherwise excellent. I did like the soup dumplings but would try something else next time.We will be back to give the buns another try and also to try some of the other dishes. The staff were all very friendly as well.

This place is turning out to be a family favorite. The food is consistently good and our server always looks to take care of us. There plenty of free parking so going here is no trouble at all. The setting is very casual. We continue trying new dishes but definitely have some favorites that are hard not to order because they are so good. Some favorites are the fried string beans and chongqing chicken. We recently tried the Dan Dan noodles, which were very good (but I think I make better). I loved the noodles themselves and there was a perfect amount of meat and sauce. My family really loves the mayo tofu.

I came to try the soup dumplings and left with pork buns. The pork buns were exceptionally good! Very soft, delicious and tasty! Soup dumplings were also tasty. I did a carry out order, so service was fast. And it's a cute little casual restaurant with ample seating as they didn't seem particularly busy with dine in customers

Very quiet. The only people there again! Food is good and prepared fresh. Service was excellent but not over baring. A great spot for a quiet late lunch.

I'M BACK! After a 3-year Yelp hiatus (I really did not mean for it to go that long, but life happened!), I'm back to writing Yelp reviews! What better way to get back to this beloved (past and now present again) hobby of mine than to review my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE restaurant in the Northern Virginia area? I've been getting takeout from Kungfu Kitchen countless times over the past few years. This restaurant is extraordinary! The food is always tasty, the portions are generous, and you can just tell that the food is made with love! I absolutely love love love Sichuan food, and the Poached Beef in Hot Chili Oil from Kungfu Kitchen never fails to turn even the worst of days and weeks around. It's my absolute comfort and soul food, and I will get it time and time again. I've also ordered and loved their dumplings, and their spicy string bean dish is also an absolute go-to for me. The service here is impeccable - they're very caring and kind. If I could give Kungfu Kitchen 5 million stars (instead of just a mere 5), I absolutely would! I can't wait for my next visit, especially as it's getting colder in the DMV area and nothing can beat their poached beef in hot chili oil soup on a chilly day!

Hate to post a bad review but there was a roach in my food. The service was not good either. I was spot at the door three times before someone came to welcome me in.The prices are reasonable and from what I tasted, the flavors were good. I was hoping for my new neighbor Chinese spot.
