Jjigae has transformed into KoBo! While I'm not entirely sure what the name signifies, this establishment is perfect for those who may not be well-acquainted with Korean bibimbap but are eager to explore a unique twist on it. If you're looking for a fresh take on bibimbap, this is the place to be.The staff here are incredibly welcoming, and the seating areas are impeccably clean. You might notice a slight wait for your meal, but that's because everything is made fresh to order. This spot is ideal for a quick and satisfying meal. I appreciate the option to customize your bowl, and you can also enjoy do-si-rack, which is the Korean equivalent of a bento box. The combination of ssamjang mayo and gochujang sauce is absolutely delightful. If you're not a fan of fresh kimchi, consider trying the stir-fried version--it's a great alternative. Interestingly, japchae is included in the bowl as a part of ingredients, which adds a unique touch. Everything is delicious. And let's not forget about their So-Tteok So-Tteok; it's one of the best I've tasted in northern VA. It strikes the perfect balance--not overly saucy, yet just enough to maintain the crispiness of the rice cakes.

I miss Jigae but I am excited for KoBo, this Chipotle style of Korean food. I think the menu is short and simple which makes life easier for all. They have rice and noodle bowls which is great for my Asian kids who love all things white rice and Asian noodles. We got the do-si-rak for the kids to share and it came with potato noodles, corn, bulgogi, and rice. This is like all of their favorite foods. They have a small ramen library which is so cool for this area. My husband had to order one of the ramen bowls that they make for you in the back and you can choose certain toppings for an additional cost which includes meats, rice cakes, cheese, and dumplings. He had a bulgogi flavored ramen with the addition of bulgogi meat and it was so yummy. I had the kimchi fried rice bowl with spicy pork belly and it was so comforting. The so-tteok so-tteok was crispy on the outside and the rice cakes were soft and chewy on the inside and not too spicy. This new place is all about Korean comfort foods and a wonderful addition to the Greenbrier Shopping Center. Service was amazing as it has always been since Jigae was there. Jigae gave me so much comfort and now KoBo will continue that.

Chipotle meets korean, this is how I feel. I mean add a touch of Mexican flair too. It's probably just me but I would wait for hmart to get the 50% off deal instead because they are pretty close in taste. When 50% off everything taste better. It's like sea salt was added to it but the kobe version.

The food is great, I've only been a few times so far. Also, i've only been to a few Korean Street Food establishments, so I am not an expert but this is the first and only one I have seen so far that lets you actually pick and choose your Ramen for them to prepare. They have a wall with many brands or options, which is so awesome for any Ramen lover!!! Go and check it out.

KoBo ('KOrean BOwl) is in their soft opening stage, and this new eatery offers quick build-your-own Korean bowls, as well as burrito wraps, dosiraks (aka, lunchbox), and ramen. They also have sides, such as tteokkochi, tteokbokki, and fried dumplings. For the bowls, you choose a base, your protein, and then the sauce; they automatically come with Romaine lettuce, jahpchae, stir-fried kimchi, corn, and cheese; I opted out of the scrambled egg.The staff were so friendly and welcoming!Located in the Greenbriar Town Center, there's plenty of parking.+build-your-own bowls+friendly service+located in the Greenbriar Town Center+ample parking

Although not fancy but everything tasted good. I was surprised to have eaten everything, only left a bit of rice. It was crowded and very simple place.

Got the do-si-rak with salt and pepper steak it was very good. I'm going to try the brisket next time. My favorite is the so-tteok so-tteok, this place has the best one, it's the sauce they use, sweet and spicy. Awesome service, very nice and friendly.

I am so glad this place opened and I am a huge supporter of small businesses. This was my 2nd time in my life trying Korean food and I will say this place hits the spot. Ingredients are fresh, concept is easy for non-Korean food eating people like me. I loved all what this had to offer with so many options. Also loved that they don't skimp on the toppings..hope it stays this way.
