Ventured out to the suburbs to check this spot this out. I kept reading reviews of how good this place is, they say the best Thai! They start you off with some edamame; nice while you're waiting. Sauces are a nice pairing. We ordered the Tom kha and kanom jeeb. The soup was okay, I keep trying to find the same soup we had from other spot but sadly nothing comes close to that one. The dumplings were very good! Lots of meat in and on them. I ordered the pad Thai, the noodles were amazing! Sometimes they come out dry but this was spot on. Flavor was great, couldn't stop eating it! My husband got the crispy duck because a lot of reviews rave about it. He loved it! Said the flavor was amazing, duck was delicious, sauce was unique. Overall we really enjoyed our meal here! Everything is VERY reasonable priced. They get busy so try to make a reservation if you can. Check them out!

Got some takeout last night. Very disappointing! My chicken satay, a favorite, was dry and flavorless; the portion of satay sauce was miniscule. The tiger eye beef was quite overcooked (seemingly a problem with this kitchen, The cashew chicken was better but not great. I've eaten here before so this was a major disappointment,

Went there Friday night . Decent place not too crowded. They give you free soya beans with sauce . I liked it . Especially their yellow sauce. We ordered Fried cod fillet. It came with brown rice and side vegetables. I would suggest the chef to fry their fresh basil and then fry the fish . It would taste better . Vegetables were plain boiled didn't like it . Again little thai spices would enhance the flavor of the vegetables. Side sauce was ok .We also got Lad na . It was so so. Not very tasty .

Came here for lunch midweek. I arrived right when they opened at 11dep-' and the place was empty. Loved the big booth and we could talk easily. Service was good. They greet you with some edamame which curbed my hunger while I waited for my friend to arrive. I got the corn cakes based on the recommendation of Yelp and I was not led astray! They were delicious. I had no intention of eating all three but I did. My friend who is a regular got the half house salad . It was massive. I liked the peanut dressing. We both got the pad Thai noodles for our main. I got mine with shrimp. I liked it.

This place is our regular go to, week night / weekend when we don't want to anywhere or cook! Kob Kun is very consistent and deliver. The drunken fried rice and noodle are always on point. Additionally, the pad krapow is awesome, just be careful not to get it too spicy. Personally, I've never eaten there so I cannot comment on the ambiance, however, to date the service has been on point. Why the 4 stars and not 5? Well, 5 starts are for perfection every time, and while on point on most things, a few small things need to be worked out such as giving a real sense of when the food will be ready. Frequently we end up waiting way past the ready time - however, I do get, can't rush good food.

We used to be frequent visitors at this place. To say we were unpleasantly surprised today is an understatement. We ordered Drunken Noodles which I prefer a bit mild. This hasn't been an issue in the past but this time it appeared the dish lacked any sauce or flavor associated with drunken noodles, but instead simply tasted like salt and vinegar.

So many good dishes. The chicken Penang curry, southern curry and massaman curry are all great. pad thai and drunken noodles are also super. Don't sleep on the curry puffs and corn cakes.

Used to go there all the time, great quality especially the curry's. Unfortunately they increased the price drastically on every item/cut the portion size and ingredients making this not worth it anymore. Too many of these gems are increasing prices and losing long time customers.

Lunch order of pad thai. 2 stars because it looked great, but the spice level made it inedible for me. I get it that spice levels can vary, but I go with medium based on experience from other restaurants in the area (e.g. Lucky Thai in Falls Church).I told the waitress that I couldn't eat it and asked if I could get another order. She just laughed and said "next time order mild, you can't handle it!" Of course no restaurant is obliged to replace an order, but to me it's just good business for a new customer. Sadly, I won't be back.
