Kiin Imm Thai Restaurant - Rockville

came by on a thursday evening to catch up with a friend. we were seated immediately although i think i saw other people waiting (might've been larger groups). i ordered the drunken noodles with chicken. i'm not sure if the portions were large or if it was just really spicy - i couldn't finish my food but i was also drinking a lot of water due to the spice. we ordered dessert (coconut ice cream) to share but couldn't finish that either. i really liked the ambiance, it was well decorated. it was a great place to have a longer catch-up over dinner :)

I had a terrible experience with a delivery order. Ordered through uber eats and they forgot to include the soup for one of my noodle soup orders. I would have said the driver should have checked, but the bag is tied down so tight there's no way to check without cutting it open. I called the restaurant, they don't do delivery so i said I'll come pick it up but i asked them to comp me for the inconvenience and give me a free appetizer. 1. They gave me the wrong soup when I got there. Good thing i checked. 2. They said they couldn't offer me anything because their manager wasn't there and they had no way of contacting them. I hope they don't have a fire or water leak or some other disaster because the staff there would have no clue what to do!

The review is for a pickup order we did to take the food home at my friend's place nearby so I cannot really speak to the in person service or ambience.I can speak to the very prompt pickup (i ordered ahead for a 20 minute pickup, stepped in, said my name and food was handed over to me all in 30 seconds).We ordered two 1/5 spicy dishes - penang with chicken a monthly special of pumpkin curry with shrimp and two 2/5 spicy (medium spicy) pad thai with chicken and drunken noodle with tofu. Always get an extra side of rice if there are curries because the actual orders never come with enough rice for all the curry sauce (and its a shame to throw all that curry sauce out).My shrimp pumpkin curry was yummy. A little on the sweeter side, but not dessert sweet of course. I tried some of the tofu drunken noodles and medium spicy is.. to me quite spicy, but my bf thoroughly enjoyed his dish. My friend and her husband also enjoyed their penang chicken curry and chicken pad thai. Kiin Imm has been around a long time and thus a long time stable feature in the Rockville area. Can't go wrong with ordering anything here.

Love the food here. One of the best in the area. We had the Pad Thai and the Kao Pow. Both were so good!!! We also had the dumplings and the spring rolls. Excellent. The service was very attentive and fast. The Restuarant itself is small, but very nice. We love this place.

My go-to restaurant for some basil fried rice, drunken noodles, or panang curry. THE FOOD IS SO DARN GOOD. Thai basil fried rice is especially my favorite: A nice heaping serving of spicy and umami rice stir fried with peppers, basil, and your choice of protein, all on a large plate. Definitely recommend it. I will also swear by their thai tea, original or green. Both will blow you away and leave you satisfied. $3.50 for a full glass of sweet yumminess, so cheap!!Finding seating at peak hours may be hard. Restaurant doesn't have many seats and many are very close to each other. But people file in and out constantly, so wait shouldn't be too long!

Really great place for Thai food in the area.Having lived in Thailand myself, probably one of the best I've had here back in the States.The food is delicious and fairly priced. The restaurant itself has a great style and aesthetic, and very clean. Service was fast and friendly! Will def recommend and be back!

Cute and cozy place. Delicious food with ample of vegan and vegetarian choices. Incredible customer service. Spice level was perfect.

I was serously considering this place for a 6th star review but one little thing held me back.With that said, this is a solid 5 stars.Stunning food, great service, and an atmosphere that I really dug. Also, their carryout business is hoppin' so don't be afraid to try them from afar.What was it, you ask, that keeps me from the 6th star rating? They overcook their chicken by a mile. This shouldn't be hard to fix but chances are high that they won't.If you have a choice of protein, I'd lean toward the shrimp probably.

A small but nifty little Thai food option in a strip mall with free parking. The up - Food is pretty good and fair priced. The spring rolls were crispy - yay! The chicken satay was a bit tough as it cooled. The portions were okay sized. The not so up - The wine pour was very skimpy - probably 3 oz or so only. And if it is possible for servers to be "too attentive" they are succeeding at that - almost to the point of interrupting conversation and eating every few minutes. Will try again and see if up and not-so-up is consistent before perhaps rounding 4 stars up to 5 or down to 3.

My favorite Thai place in MoCo. Pad thai, pork belly, and green curry are all excellent. I wish they would bring back their string beans appetizer. It was the best thing on the menu.It's more of a takeout place than a dine in since they have maybe 15 tables.
