Very tasty and fresh food. The portions are big enough for 2 people. The service is fast and staff are kind and passionate. We Loved the food we went back for the second visit in 2 days out of 4 day stay in DC.

A large platter of food was just what I wanted to end the week. I got the Beef Kabob, which comes with chunks of beef over basmati rice with a side of fresh salad, your pick of vegetables (got eggplant), and bread. The best part was not knowing where to begin. I'm weird and went for the eggplant first. Tasty and already off to a good start. The beef was easy to cut and well marinated. I think I filled myself with enough of the rice, but I had to rip off a piece of bread to eat it fresh and it was so soft. Second best part: trying to figure out how to fit the leftovers in one box. They call your order number nice and loud on a speaker system when it's ready. It took a while for mine to come out since I ordered behind a party of six Georgetown students. Not much to say about the dining room (basic). It has lots of seating, which is the most important thing. Just focus on the food. This seems to be a popular place for delivery. Delivery guys were coming in and out, whisking away bags of platters, bowls, and wraps to the next happy customer.

Nestled in the heart of Georgetown on M Street, Kabul Castle Kabob offers a delightful dining experience with its authentic Afghan flavors and welcoming atmosphere. The service here is exceptional, with the staff always attentive and ready to ensure a pleasant visit. The owners are genuinely nice and go out of their way to make you feel at home, adding a personal touch to your dining experience. One of the standout features is their fantastic selection of kabobs, particularly the mixed family platter. Designed for six people, this platter is a feast with a generous portion of all types of kabobs and rice. Despite being advertised for six, the portions are plentiful and perfect for a hearty meal. The food is simply delicious. Each dish is packed with flavor, making it a great choice for anyone looking to savor authentic Afghan cuisine. Whether you're a local or just visiting Georgetown, Kabul Castle Kabob is definitely worth a stop for its tasty offerings and warm hospitality.

The service was non-existent as we had to call out a few times before a person came to the counter. The place had a weird odor, was empty, and not the most welcoming. But I had have overlooked these issues if the food was a bang for the buck. Unfortunately, the meat was dry and there wasn't enough meat for two platters worth about $40. I wouldn't recommend this place.

serving sizes were huge and very generous! There was a nice seating area outside, and it's more of a fast food restaurant. The chickpeas were a bit stale, but otherwise tasted delicious

Aside from the food not being good. Beef kabob had a kidney smell. Oily rice. Etc. the place is really DIRTY. The dirtiest restroom in DC Dining floors are dirty. Broken glass on the walls. Dirty ordering area.

The 2 stars is for the service and the large portion The food quality was really bad, they use a lot of oil in the rise it's unhealthy when you have oil dripping down from your rice. The kabobs had a really bad odor, it might be from the meat not being refrigerated.

Came here after a long flight and was not disappointed. For the price point, it was A LOT of food. Definitely could have split my entree with my friend. Service was quick and friendly. Ambiance was...okay. The layout was definitely serviceable. The decor isn't looking to "wow" you. Definitely if you're in the area, you're hungry, and on a budget -- try it out!

YES. If you're contemplating trying this place out, DO IT! Was headed to George's, saw this place in front, decided to give it a try, was not disappointed at all. FOOD- for what you're paying, they are so generous on portions and everything comes with one side (chick peas / spinach / mixed veggies / one other I can't think of). On top of the price being great for the amount you get, the food tastes AMAZING! Especially when you come in hungry... when that food comes out after waiting for around 10 minutes, wow, you don't waste any time. I personally love the chicken kobeda with the mixed vegetables side (I don't even like peas or carrots but the way they make it... I can't get enough) SERVICE- nothing too crazy. You order, when your food is ready the buzzer buzzes, you go get your food then you either sit and eat or take it to go. PLACE/LOCATION- Street parking. Place seems very clean and well taken care of. Handful of tables and restrooms are available. RAMADAN- during the month of Ramadan, they are offering some sort of buffet for Iftar.Definitely will come back again and again.
