I've been wanting to come back after a fun night at Joon for Yelp event over a year ago!My best friend and I went for brunch on a Saturday. We had their unlimited small plates option. It felt family style instead of tapas because the dishes were generously big for tapas. My favorites were the falafel and the beef sausage (Sosis Bandari) but every dish was flavorful! The space is beautiful and our server was very friendly. The complimentary valet is a plus!I'd definitely recommend!

Food - 4 Service - 2 Ambiance - 4.5I was going to give this review a 4, as most of the food was yummy, and the ambiance is really nice. It's a huge restaurant but they do a great job making it feel cozy because there's a lot of separate rooms, and nooks. But, the waitress Madlyn, although she started great with a lot of enthusiasm and suggestions which we appreciated, was a huge a turnoff towards the last 20 minutes or so. She got really quiet, and kept coming to our table to slowly clear it off. But what got us is she went so far as to take our water cups all away, and snatched one of our napkins too. It was very abrupt and rude. There were many tables left still eating and drinking, so they were not anywhere near closing down. I have never had water cups snatched up that way, it was startling, and extremely off-putting. We went from raving to quite upset at the end, we were annoyed we even left a generous tip at that point. I learned from this not to tip until we are about to leave. Back to the food, I love the starter plate, it's a compliemtary pita plate with three little dips, delicious start. The hummus app and the lamb meatballs, again very delicious. We got a number of other main dishes to share, and I did not love a couple of them. The salad we got was way overdressed and heavy, and the cherry rice was just okay. The fish dish we got already had rice in it, so the cherry rice was an unncessary addition. The filet mignon was a little tough, and not flavorful. I would go back if I had a different waitress and would probably focus mostly on the small plates (and maybe try another meat dish) because they were the highlights of the night. Parking is a little interesting, they are located on the right side of the tiffany building, you can either use the valet or parking near the tiffany store (not right in front, unless they are closed).

The food: I ordered the unlimited brunch and everything was very good, but not really much better than many of the other outstanding Lebanese restaurants in the area. My favorite dish was the fried shrimp. For something on the sweet side, the french toast was very good, although it did come out a little undercooked.Atmosphere: The bar area is very pretty. The main dining are is nice, but nothing spectacular.Service: Service was excellent!Price: Way overpriced! I feel kind of like I was tricked. The font they use on their online and print menus makes it very hard to read the price of the unlimited brunch. I was certain it was $30 per person, but it turns out that the "3" is really a "5" and it's $50 per person. And if that wasn't bad enough, they charge $6 for an iced tea and they don't offer free refills.

Back again and it does feel a little better each time. Service is always fabulous but sometimes food has had issues in execution albeit it delicious. The kabob platter and hummus and eggplant and cucumber salad were just sooooo fresh and tasty. Beautiful interior and free valet !!

Joon was recently included in the NYTimes Top 50 Favorite Restaurants in the US, and it is well deserved. We had the opportunity to visit on a Tuesday when they have 3-course pre-fixe dinners, and it was perfect for our group of 4. Pretty reasonable for $50 especially given how much food you get. The portions are generous. The restaurant is gorgeous. Cocktails are divine. The service was next level. Would highly recommend for a date night or a night out with friends!

Service: the hostess was so sweet by offering a coat check as I was taking off my coat in order to sit down. Paul was our waiter and he was professional and checked in several times. Food: I came last spring for restaurant week and didn't have the greatest food experience. But after seeing they had continued great reviews, I've decided to give it another try. My friend and I got the breakfast platter and it was great! Ambience: decor especially the tiles are incredible!

Fantastic dinner at Joon this week! This was our 1st visit, and will NOT be out last!Came with another couple for dinner. First, the decor is elegant and tasteful. Service, from the start, was exceptional, and food perfect. Once we finished the ample appetizers we found ourselves needing only two meals and the highly recommended cherry rice. Wow... The lamb "velosh?" was off the hook! Another big surprise was the cherry rice... Another wow! In addition to the meals we ended up ordering two bottles of wine, both tempranillos. Reasonably priced and absolutely delicious! The girls ended up ordering the dessert, so I'm honestly not sure what it's called, but it's a traditional Persian dessert with marzipan. Absolutely perfect way to end the evening! I can't recommend this place high enough. I came in not expecting much - something more like an upscale Moby Dick's or Shamcherey (sp?). No, this was nothing like either of those restaurants. This was upscale and elegant! Bravo to Joon!

I used to love this place. Would have given 5 stars but... Something changed in recent months. When ordering dip we received one bread wrap per dip. Which was not enough for us. We still had dip left with no bread. When we requested more bread we were told it comes with one. Really? Bread is so cheap! Eventually they gave us more bread, but already felt weird. Also bread used to arrive warm this time it was cold. When we ordered our favorite dessert, the rose water ice cream, what used to be three scoops and a cookie, is now one scoop and a wafer. For the same price! There is also a high turnover of staff.

Omar was the best! Excellent service and accommodation for our large group. The wait staff helped take lots of pictures and aided with the large food order. The food was even better! Will definitely visit again!
