Jerry's Carry Out

Jerry's Carry Out is a true DC staple! My partner and I got the 10 piece fried chicken wings with fries, and everything was on point. The chicken was crispy and flavorful, the fries perfectly seasoned, and the mumbo sauce was fire! It took the whole meal to the next level.

It's about time to stop supporting the Chinese community! They are over priced! This specific carry out is has charged me the same menu price for a platter ands I only preferred just shrimp! 8 jump shrimp for 13.50 with no rice or French fries is ridiculous!

Sweet and sour chicken was well cooked with classic sauce. Solid steamed rice and hot and sour soup as well. The veggie spring rolls were crispy on the outside and the crab rangoon had a tasty filling but the wrapper was tough/overcooked on the edges.

We tried several items from here - crab wontons, chicken fried rice and pork steam dumplings. They were all decent, but nothing outstanding. It satisfied our craving for a quick Asian bite, but nothing more.

I have been a lifelong customer of YUMS on 14th street for 20 years. But after eating at Jerry's, the difference is incomparable. The food here is better, the packaging is phenomenal and the portions are more substantial. So not only do you get exceptional quality of food, you also get more for your money. This is definitely my new carry out spot in the city..

S.E. baby but this gem on GA ave was it. Late and not much open, around 1am. Food was fresh and reasonably priced. Lady at the front was nice too, not used to carry out having much customer service. Will be back.

Delicious food every time! The portions are big enough to split the meals into two. The General Tso Chicken is killer! Highly recommend! The only downside is avoid going to this restaurant extremely late, the characters get sketchy.

I order on uber eats orange chicken I was happy that my food got on time but to my surprise! There was this little maggot on my food . I can't believe it .

Food is good , customer service horrible. The lady with the short pixie haircut argued with me about me saying extra veggies when I said no veggies. Then proceeded to get my attention by saying hellooooo multiple times. And I left called them to see how she acted and she said " hurry up let's go what do you want" . And then hung up when I didn't answer fast enough. She isn't the owner and was extremely disgusting person that got mad when she got my order wrong

This is just another hood carry out over rated by locals. I don't know what it is, but Chinese carry out food don't hit like it use too. Everything here was average as hell. The steak and cheese was your typical frozen steak chopped up. It wasn't the fresh ribeye like all carry outs used back in the day. The wings were small and the fried rice was lacking flavor. However the mumbo sauce was legit. I'll give this carry out a 4/10. Come on uptown, I know y'all can do better. Lol, but I won't be back.
