Around these parts, it's a challenge to come across good oxtail. Head on over to this spot, order "One Love", ask for "double oxtail", and then tell the truth; these are the best damn oxtail in this part of the area. Great job done by solid people, operating in a clean environment that's pretty laid back and chill. I count 7, and they were PHAT! Mac and cheese is dangerous!Cabbage is out of this world! I didn't finish it because I was full...had cocoa bread before my meal. Thanks, 'guys'! See yall soon.

The takeaway up front: get the Ox Box to get the best stuff that Jerk at Nite has to offer I was working with per diem from work so I was an idiot who paid $30 for the One Love box - two proteins and two sides. I ordered the oxtail, jerk chicken, plantains, and Mac and cheese. Jerk chicken: not crispy/charred at all, with a tame + mildly sweet sauce. Do yourself a favor and order delivery from Just Jerk in Lanham if you're looking to scratch a jerk chicken itch - it will be much better even after a 45 minute delivery time Oxtail: pretty solid. Big chunks of meat with little visceral fat. It tastes like it has been simmering in sauce for hours, and the meat is nice and tenderPlantains: not that good. No crispiness + they came lukewarm/coldMac and cheese: lives up to the hype, very cheesy and flavorful. The crispy cheese on top is a nice touch, and there's a satisfying spicy tinge to it Getting the Ox Box will get you the oxtail and the Mac and cheese for $25, which seems like a fair price to pay in downtown College Park. Overall, Jerk At Nite is a decent option - especially if you like oxtail

I ordered from Jerk at Nite via DoorDash. The food looked good and was well packaged. I got the Wingz and Tingz with JaMac N Cheese, and Cabbage. I also got a Coco Bread. The JaMac N Cheese was the star! It was tasty, with gooey cheese and crust on top. Unfortunately, the wings did not have a jerk profile at all. It wasn't spicy. The six pieces of drummettes tasted more like barbecue wings. They were also chewy, like they had been overcooked. The cabbage was bland. The coco bread was a little stale, but a good size. The food was edible, but not delicious. I would only order the JaMac N Cheese in the future.

With this review, keep in mind that they are still in the soft opening stage. I gave it a 4 but it's probably a solid 3.5.I ordered the jerk chicken mac box. My jerk chicken was good but not great. I enjoyed the combo of the jerk with the mac and cheese but it's prefer mac without out the spice and ib the side of my meat. The customer service was great. My food came out quickly and the cashier was helpful and kind. They are operating on a limited menu at the time. Tip: Use the convenient parking lot across the street

This is specifically for the location in College Park. I NEVER have any complaints about the one on H St. Overall, the food was subpar and cold. Service was poor and wait time was unnecessary. Yesterday me and my boyfriend decided to try the new location because we saw on their social media that it was more of a dine in style. The food looked hot and pleasant and the vibe looked lively. Unfortunately, when we got there we got the complete opposite. It's safe to say that their social media is very misleading. We got to sit ourselves down at whatever table we wanted but for it to not be so busy we waited almost 20 minutes for our waitress to come. When she finally did come and ask us for our drink she ended up bringing back two glasses of water that had pepper like particles floating in them. When I expressed my concerns she grabbed my cup and acted like she couldn't see it floating and then she ended up explaining that the water came from the nozzle thing that they have at the bar. I found myself convincing her that we needed new waters. Fast forward, now we're waiting on her to come back to bring the waters and take our order down which was another 15-20 minutes. She eventually came and took our order. I ordered the oxtail entree with rice and beans and cabbage along with an extra side of mac. My boyfriend ordered the Jerk and Mac Box. This time we didn't have to wait long at all which I thought was a plus but it wasn't. Our food was lukewarm and cold in some places and the ONLY thing that was piping hot was the mac and cheese. We've also had plenty of Rasta Bread before the Rasta bread they served us was one piece of regular toast cut in half. Compared to H St this was a total let down. H St is ALWAYS on POINT! With food quality, taste and everything and their line is always wrapped. There was no excuse for the wait, cold food, and poor customer service here at college park. It was only us two and another table of four at the restaurant. They open at 4, we got there a little after 5:30. You're not swamped with orders or customers so everything should have been top tier and it wasn't. We were highly disappointed and normally we would give places a second try but this experience was just a major turn off. We won't be back to this specific location.

OH MY. College Park already has The Jerk Pit, now we've got some competition on the far opposite end of campus! This location opened up fairly recently, and what better way to celebrate a festive day than to support a new local business? Before you even step inside, they've got the dancehall and reggae blasting. The vibe is already set. I stepped inside and noticed a lot of folks sitting around and waiting. I saw that there's a dine-in section, but it's blocked off -- it would appear that for now it is strictly takeout, which is fine. But when the dine-in opens up it's going to be quite busy. It looks very inviting, I can tell!I went up to the register and was greeted warmly by the gentleman, who gave me a heads up that any jerk chicken would take around 25 minutes. Appreciated the heads up! I've had Di Yardie, which is your typical jerk chicken entree before, so I decided to switch it up a bit and get the Jerk box with mac. Paying was easy, and I stepped out to take a call and grab a dessert from elsewhere to pass the time. When I returned, it was even more crowded, and it took me a while just to get up to there to grab my order. The dude was patient, professional, and calm, but I could tell that he was getting slammed and a couple folks were getting impatient. They just opened, and this is a good sign that they're already getting so busy... so I understand why the dine-in section is closed right now. He was on his own taking orders, so they must not have enough staff yet. To have been handling as many orders as he was, I thought he handled everything pretty well, and I respect that. And, I have a hunch it might have to do with a certain somebody who recently visited the DC location. When I got up to check on my order, it was ready (YAY), and I was on my way. I was surprised by the amount of jerk chicken and mac and cheese in that box. Sheesh! It may have been the milkshake I got... but I couldn't finish the box in one sitting. By the way, the jerk chicken tasted way better than I remembered, and it was spicy! The mac and cheese was good too, being a delicate combination of gooey and having some burnt crispy bits. I'm glad to have Jerk at Nite in the MD Burbs and I'll be back! The college kids are SO lucky.
