Today was my first time stopping by to grab some authentic Jamaican food, however, I must say I was a bit disappointed! I ordered Ox Tail (not spicy at all), Mac & Cheese (a bit salty), Collard Greens (lacking salt/seasoning) & plantains (very tasty). The service was great. I was welcomed and promptly helped! The restaurant is beautifully decorated & definitely felt the welcoming Jamaican atmosphere and hospitality, an homage to Bob Marley .. since we live in the neighborhood I will def come back to try another dish ..

I used been waiting for the restaurant to open for some time now and excited to try their dishes. The food truck now has a store front/brick and mortar. I took advantage of their Friday special, snapper escoveitch (sp?) style although they also offer it as brown stewed. I had to try their coco bread since it's homemade also. I'm sure I'll be back to try their oxtails because how can I not?I almost scream when I seen my cocoa bread! I could not believe I have fresh cocoa bread again like the last time I was in Jamaica! It was warm soft and pillowy. I had to make myself stop eating it so I could try the snapper. The seasoning on the escovitch was perfect! Perfect balance of spicy and acid made each bite exciting. I will never be a fan of whole fish because I do not like picking out my bones so there's a fillet on the menu for eskovich I'm definitely going with that next time.

I was so excited for this place to get their storefront, finally! I was a frequent consumer of their food truck. I'm happy there's a new Caribbean spot; we need more of them in this area. Overall, it's not bad. Customer service is warm and friendly. Here's my point of view from someone who grew up in a Caribbean and Creole family. The chicken and curry goat are seasoned nicely. However, there's not enough meat for the price, IMO. The goat has more bones than anything and there could definitely be more chicken in the curry chicken platter. The peas and rice are meh -- lacking flavor. The plantains are just OK too. Steamed veggies are good. The cocoa bread is what it should be; warm and soft, and the beef patties are warm, flaky and seasoned well. I just tried the snapper escovitch and it was yummy! I've also had the yellow cake (yum yummy) and the cornbread (yum). However, do NOT buy the rum cake. Idk if the baker/chef had an off day, but my husband spit it out and said it was one of the worst things he's ever had. I was so excited for him to try it too. I couldn't disagree. It tasted like bitter fudge with a horrible aftertaste. Even the color threw me off. I was expecting a soft, semisweet cake with those hints of rum (or a lot of rum, ha). But nah. Save your tastebuds for something else, I beg. Overall, I'm happy to buy my signature staples and support this Black-owned business. I hope they get even better with time.

Gave Jammin a try for dinner. The Jerk chicken was a little fry, the Mac and Cheese was dry as well, rice and peas along with the plantains were okay. They were out if greens, not good to run out of an item. I know they are new, so hopefully they will improve. I would like to see them succeed.

We have been waiting to try this restaurant while construction took place. Food was great, we both had the jerk chicken with the mixed vegetables and plantains. Portions are large for the $. We both really enjoyed our meal. Couldn't leave without getting a spicy beef patty! They were also excellent reminded me of My times in Jamaica. Atmosphere is great, staff is very friendly. I suggest stopping in to give it a try you will not be dissatisfied. Help support our local small business! Definitely a hidden gem.

I have been keeping my eye on this spot waiting for it to open. It was worth the wait! We ordered the jerk chicken and brown stew chicken. Got the same sides with both, rice and peas, mac n cheese and collard greens. Brown stew chicken was flavorful, stewed perfectly, fall off the bone delicious! Mac n cheese was on point so were the collards. My only regret is i didnt get a side of fried plantains cuz they are a fave of mine. Guess i will need to go back soon for another plate and some plantains.

I really wanted to like this place bc it's so close to home and I'd seen some good reviews. I'm currently stuck between a 2 and 3 star rating.I love Jamaican food. Loved it while vacationing in the island and came home and had it multiple times from a restaurant in Baltimore, Hyattsville, Laurel and the one in Glen Burnie. This is the first time I've been disappointed. Last week I picked up an order in Odenton. Got the brown stew chicken--they used breast meat and it was dry. There were no bones in mine so not sure how it could be fall off the bone tender. Because it just wasn't. And it didn't absorb much of the sauce flavor which was a tad on the bland side. I was really hoping for those robust spices & flavors that Jamaican food is known for.The rice and peas were dry and didn't have much flavor. I don't believe they used coconut milk either. But the greens were delicious. And the plantains were the best--sweet & flavorful and had all that nice caramelization you expect. It was $15.They served it all piled up on top of each other in a 9" round tin container with a clear plastic lid. That's a first. All the other spots I've enjoyed used the 3 compartment styrofoam containers. It didn't really matter though bc I didn't even finish what they gave me bc it was so dry. And I was hungry!I really only ate the greens and plantains and that is such a disappointment. I really wanted to like this place.Looks like we'll be trekking to Glen Burnie instead.Might give them one more try once they are open for a while to work out the kinks. I know they just opened, maybe it's opening jitters.?

The food is tasty and plenty for the price. The service is friendly and the restaurant is clean. In summary, it's like visiting Jamaica without paying for airfare.

Quick service, very efficient. Mac and cheese tastes like noodles with nacho cheese and taco seasoning. It was edible. Coco bread was over baked and dry. Sad to be let down after months of waiting for it to open so I could try it.
