We visited Reston Town Center after several months and stopped to have lunch at Jackson's. Glad that the regular menu is now in effect on Sundays and not the brunch menu.No wait for a nice table by the window. Served by Ethan with help from the kitchen staff. We ordered the shrimp fritters (note provide a spoon as there is so much sauce), bread (still $1 as during Covid . Most restaurants have stopped charging. If served please warm the bread basket), and for lunch fish tacos (very nice. Not cold slaw bit spicy but that was expected) and my wife thought she ordered a pasta dish with shrimp and broccolini but none came so a server advised for an extra charge they could provide penne which was fine.It was a nice visit at a restaurant we have visited with family and friends many times.

Jacksons is in Reston where there are tons of options, but they remain always packed. I recommend a reservation. We wandered in on a whim with no reservation on Saturday night (Valentine's weekend - the AUDACITY lol) and were told two hours to be seated. So we sat at the bar. Apparently you can order the entire menu there. So I did. The bartender very kindly prepared me a hot tea as the windy and cold day had left me feeling less than ideal, and though his face fell when my husband ordered lemonade as well lol, the service was still excellent. We ordered the deviled eggs with no bacon. They come with candied pecans and bacon, which in sure compliment each other well. Eggs being the delicacy they are lol (I just love deviled eggs), we had to try them even without the bacon that we don't eat. The filling was slightly sweet, missing the tang of Dijon and the bite of onion. It definitely had the crunch of celery, but I prefer a savory egg and it leaned sweet with the pickle??? Maybe and the candied yam. I think the bacon might have brought it right back to center. I wouldn't order it again but if you eat bacon it's probably a win. 6/10.I also ordered the goat cheese and pecan salad. Yes, I also love pecans, and added blackened salmon. I love the blackened as a spice option and I've been disappointed regularly with how it's ...interpreted. I cannot say executed. This chef knows his way around a blacktop, the salmon was perfectly blackened AND perfectly medium!! So delicious. This salad is so good I would go back just to have it once per week. It is also massive and took me two days to eat and was equally good on the second day. The goat cheese is crispy and warm, the pecans are candied but not too sweet - honestly a smoked or chipotle pecan would be nice on this too- and the craisins added just the right amount of sweet to the preparation. 10/10My husband, ever predictable, ordered the grilled chicken and havarti after I assured him that no, I would not be able to take a single bite of the ribeye (which looks FABULOUS but come hungry because it's $50!!!) and as we were in a hotel it might not get eaten. That sandwich was SO good! I love places with menus that are cultivated from things they do excellently and aren't too large. Jacksons is that. I didn't try the fries but my husband said they were great. The bar was packed, the games were on, and overall the bar vibe was pretty nice. We ordered the bread pudding to go because we were both full and it was so good, we ate it before it got cold lol. It is served with both butter sauce and strawberries and a la mode. It was DELICIOUS. I also heard good things about the chocolate waffle for those that are gluten free but it was VDay and I wanted BREAD. 12/10We would go back, but with a reservation lol. I still need to try that ribeye!

I've been to almost all of the Great American restaurants and they all give a similar vibe in terms of service, ambiance, and menu options. Starters seem to be the same as their other restaurants but the stars here go to their seafood and beef. I wanted to treat myself and got the broiled crab cake and filet mignon which is the best of both worlds. Seasoned and cooked perfectly to your liking and reasonably priced. I also ordered the caesar salad which complemented the meal well and tasted fresh. Restaurant does get busy for dinner so make sure there is a reservation before-hand. Even with a reservation I still had to wait a bit for a table to open up.

Overall the experience and the food was tasty! I enjoyed the flavor of the chicken and broccolini. They were seasoned pretty well and tasted great together! It made me want to get the recipe and make it myself!

Taylor was on it! As soon as we sat down he was ready to fill us in on the specials of the day and his favorite menu items. The setup is very nice, tons of seating and an authentic diner feel/vibe. As we were just passing through, we opted for the spinach/artichoke dip and it was delicious! Creamy, seasoned and paired very well with the warm tortilla chips. The Jackson margarita was A1, the ratios were just right and it was very reasonably priced.

Had the steak salad and sat at the inside bar. Food at JMFF's is always good though the price points are a bit high for this place. Outside bar is always busy and lively. Good spot for meeting up with friends or a business traveler.

I wasn't sure what to expect. When a friend recommended Jackson's but I am so glad he did! When I saw the review speaking about the Waldorf salad, I figured I would take a chance but when something is this good... There's zero risk involved! The steak was cooked to perfection and tender to the point you don't need a knife. The apples, grapes and greens in my salad were very fresh and full of flavor. Probably the most balanced and fresh salad I've had in years!! Only complaint I can think of is I wish it came with more candied walnuts... not because they skimped on them but because they were so tasty lol.The atmosphere is loud and casual, but friendly at the same time. Will definitely come back when I'm in the area.

Went here on a Sunday afternoon to watch some NFL games. Sat at the outdoor bar lounge area - they do have an indoor bar area as well. The outdoor bar area is equipped with a heater above if anyone decides to sit outside. The waiter/bartender was very nice and was very attentive. Refilled my water every time it was empty. And there was only 1 bartender!! The only bad thing was the food. Food was regular. Nothing spectacular about it - I got the fish fingers. The portion was great but there was no flavor and it's supposed to be fried in some beer batter. The sauce had no kick to it. Overall, it was mediocre.

Love love love this place. Very cozy and fun with a little fancy touch. Lights are dim enough for a date night but the place won't put you to sleep. You see customers from age 18 to 90. The vibe is family friendly without feeling like you are at an ihop (no offense, I love ihop). The food is always fresh and comes to your table quickly. Large menu to choose from. Definitely my go to spot. The staff is very professional, friendly and kind.

This is our go-to spot when we meet in Reston Town Center. We automatically gravitate toward the bar area and sit at the tables that are almost like outdoor seating, but covered by an awning. Also, these seats are perfect because we prefer the bartenders/servers don't constantly come by. They are friendly, but we don't need that much attention. If we need anything, we are okay just walking up to the bar to place orders. We mostly come for drinks, but sometimes we order food. We have tried their blue crab & shrimp fritters, shrimp tacos and calamari. I normally don't eat calamari, but theirs was surprisingly good. The bread basket is so good, we always order a couple baskets, which are apparently $1. The drinks are perfectly made. We normally order the margaritas and mojitos, me with no ice of course. The mojito was good, but there was so much in there, we asked her to make it without "the salad" (shown in the pictures...). The margarita is perfect as well, as was the pinot grigio. Would I return? yea, absolutely!
