The sesame shrimp is FIRE! I don't know what kind sauce they use but I LOVE IT! I haven't actually visited the restaurant so I'm unsure of their vibe and level of service but when I order from UberEats and they are always on point! My food is always hot and they always remember to read the notes and add my hot mustards packets which are essential when eating my egg rolls lol! The general tso shrimp was also really good but I wish it had broccoli like most general tso! Other than that chefs kiss! The salt and pepper shrimp was tasty too but it was a tad bit salty! I think a couple less shakes and they would have been perfect! Definitely plan to order from here again!

Place is open late enough to revive you on your way home. They have efficient no nonsense service. Got the dumplings, combo fried rice, Chinese broccoli and a flat noodle dish. All really good. Lively environment.

Always thought of myself as Lo Mein-tenance.We arrived here because the Chinese restaurant across the street provided terrible service and we figured why not try Jackey Cafe. It was late at night, and I was surprised how little restaurants were open. Glady this one stays open until 2am in the morning. The service is pretty mid, it seemed like a family business the parents cooking in the back and the children taking the orders in the front. The ambiance was quite interesting, very small spot underground right in the heart of chinatown. There were different dollar bills on the ceiling and on the wall. I never expect good service at a Chinese restaurant, I expect the food to be top notch. However, this wasn't the case here either, it took a while for our three dishes to come out, when it was not busy at all. The whole restaurant was empty. what a shame, and it took about 20 mins for the food to arrive. We ordered beef chowfun, pork chop, and fried fish over rice. I have to tell you it was pretty expensive for three dishes, it cost about $70.00. And the food was pretty mid, we ate it in our hotel room. I would never be back, if I do come back it would be somewhere else where the service and the food don't suck.

Recommended by a local said the place was a little pricey but it was well worth it. They didn't open till around 7:00 so be aware because they stay open till very late. The food was delicious we had a beef and broccoli house specialty that was made with chicken that had more vegetables in it and meat than I've ever seen in that dish. The sauce was delicious. Also had pork ends and some dim sum, all very good. Yes it's downstairs in a place that you probably would just walk past, but don't, go in and eat you won't be disappointed, highly recommend.

First stop in DC! Got this to go because our hotel was a block away. This place is opened late (at 9:30 on a Thursday in Chinatown most places were closed). Let's break it down. Pros:- Super fast - Friendly- Inside is really cool- It didn't make me feel like crap Cons:- Just "okay"- Expensive for portionsJackey Cafe is a hard review because 3 out of 5's are hard to talk about. It wasn't good, but it wasn't bad either. $30 for two boxes (on the smaller side) of chicken lo mein is a little on the expensive side for the portion. The flavor was alright; it got the job done. I wouldn't really recommend this place, but I'd say if it's your only option it isn't the worst in Chinatown. Also, if you're new to Chinatown this is an authentic place to walk into. It fits the bill.

Ok. I am not one to leave any bad reviews. Especially. It i feel like food and service were good. Just not to my liking. But it's a different case here. We were in China town and stopped on to have some warm sake and take food to go First of all - the place didn't look clean. Menu was dirty and greasy. Sake was cold and didn't really strike me as regular sake i usually get. Anyhow. Moving on. Getting food to go. I ask. If the frog dish has cut up frog or whole ( yes i was being unique and wanted to see what frog is all about ). So. The lady says it's whole When we get back. It's cut up in tiny pieces. All bones. Not what i was promised it ll be. My friend got orange chicken. Which looked over fried. And meat was tiny on the inside with tons of breading. Fried rice was ok. Regular rice was ok. Vegetables mixed in my "amazing" frog plate were good. So. With all pros and cons i wouldn't go back.

I was exploring Washington D.C. with friends and we found this hole-in-a-wall Asian restaurant. It's downstairs right off the sidewalk, and I liked going downstairs to enter the small space of the restaurant. The layout inside was simple, and the decorations made the interior feel busy yet homey. We were promptly seated and given menus and water, and the menu had a wide variety of options to look through which was good.I'm a big fan of General Tso's chicken, and since I was looking for a sizeable meal I decided to go with that. The restaurant seemed to be owned by a family, as the woman serving us was giving our orders to a young boy to give to the kitchen. There were some older kids who also seemed to be helping, and it was nice to see a family running the restaurant. The wait for the food wasn't too long, and when it arrived my group was ready to eat.The General Tso's chicken was honestly very good for multiple reasons; the meat was juicy and tender, the broccoli was cooked very well, the sauce on the chicken was delicious, and all of the food came out at the perfect temperature. I've had a lot of General Tso's chicken before and this was some of the best I've ever had. We had gotten there pretty late at night and had been there for a while, and we realized they were open until very late so we didn't have to hurry to leave which I appreciated. When we were finished we asked for the check, which was promptly brought out, and we paid and left.I'm very glad I found this restaurant, the atmosphere was intimate yet casual and seeing what seemed to be a family running the place gave it a little extra charm. The service was great, the food was even better, and I didn't expect to have such a nice time in this little restaurant tucked away underground in DC. If I'm hungry in the area I'd happily go back, and I'd recommend it to anyone in the area who likes Asian-American food.

I came here after a concert at the nearby Capital One Arena. I think it was one of the few places that was open late. They open until 2 a.m. service was okay. But I just think that our waitress was having a very hectic night. She was alone by herself and at times I felt like she didn't want to be bothered. I ordered some egg rolls and a bowl of the wonton noodle soup. They serve good portion sizes. The egg rolls were cold in the center. The wonton noodle soup was bland. Not a place that I will actually go to again. Who knows maybe they were having a rough night. 2 stars.
